I doubt Billy controls the road, but the road was laid out with him in mind. It customizes trials per person, but really favors the instigator

That makes it interesting that, although he wasn't directly involved in the ritual to open the gate, he was the first one through it and onto the road.

i think something about his power is influencing the road. so it’s “controlling” it but not consciously.

    • @JustMe-dc6ks
      @JustMe-dc6ks 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

He’s also the one who actually assembled the coven. And has the most raw power of the witches present. Rio doesn’t count, the road can’t test or alter her, probably can’t read her.

    • @normaladjacent
      @normaladjacent 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes, I think he is influencing the Road, but he’s not doing it consciously. It would make little sense to give him a full POV episode that somehow obscures his true motivations from the audience. But there are clues that his power is shaping the way the Road and the trials appear, and I think that may be the “tell” Agatha refers to. She’s caught on to it before he has.
This would explain some of the comments she’s said to him…
When they first embark on the Road, Billy says, “It’s exactly how I pictured it,” and Agatha replies, “It suits you.” After Sharon dies and Billy is digging her grave Agatha says, “I didn’t know you had it in you” and winks, to his confusion. In episode 6 she says of course he’s a Maximoff, otherwise “none of this would be nearly as dramatic,” gesturing to the environment around them.

  • @rj86dr89
    @rj86dr89 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

Maybe since Billy is a chaos witch like his mom (he has a statue in the temple with Wanda) he is a good candidate for the earth witch. He probably works in all the elements. So Billy being the black heart would make sense.

  • @mecoptera102
    @mecoptera102 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +37

I think the biggest clue to Billy at least influencing the road and trials is when Agatha makes the comment about him being a Maximoff and this (gesturing to the surrounds) being so dramatic. He is shaping the road and trials and Agatha knows it.

"Lilia wasn't able to write his name because of the Sigil."
😁LoL the sigil makes it so Lilia can't even remember Billy, how can she describe something she can't even remember?
If the sigil is designed to block memories of Billy, it would make it impossible for Lilia to recall or describe him.
🕵‍♂The sigil seems to have a powerful effect on Lilia’s memory & perception, making it impossible for her to remember or describe Billy. This would naturally extend to her premonitions, causing them to be incomplete or unclear when they involve him.
👍It’s fascinating how such magical elements can add layers of complexity to the story.

I think it's very safe to say that the art direction for the show, including costuming, are absolutely planned down to a T, so while some of our theories might be way off, it's for sure that the jump off points for theories within the show and promo materials (like the Tarot cards) exist to prime those theories.

Yeah I think Marvel, Jac, and the rest of the show’s creators learnt a lot from WandaVision, namely that a zillion people on the internet were going to pore over every pixel and pop and guess what was coming or at least make plausible predictions, and also catch them out on plot holes and such. It must be so hard to write a show with secrets these days! But anyway they’ve definitely upped their game and are now laying some traps and red herrings for said audience. Fascinating development of the TV show/viewer relationship.

I think Rio’s there to collect all the coven members, in addition to Billy. Every witch in the group has evaded Death at some point, and so she’s eager for the chance to wrap up loose ends.
Lilia should have died with her family.
Alice was saved way past due by her mother's song.
Jennifer beat the odds against the doctor.
And, of course, Agatha should have died long ago... Side theory: Maybe her ability to avoid dying is what made Rio fall for her in the first place?

    • @TrickyD

      @r_r_r_r
"I think Rio’s there to collect all the coven members, in addition to Billy."
🖐All, but Billy, have paid a price for extending their lifespan.
*Lilia Calderu* : Lilia's situation as the Divination witch is particularly poignant. Her ability to evade deadly accidents and encounters comes at the cost of living a life in isolation, where even the witch community avoid her due to her premonitions. This makes her character both powerful and tragic.
*Alice Wu-Gulliver* : as the Protector witch was able to save herself from her family's curse because her mother sacrificed herself & all her earthly possessions to protect her daughter.
*Jennifer Kale* : as the Apothecary witch had such an immense success it drew the attention of the mortal world, leading to her witchcraft being stolen, certainly adds a layer of vulnerability and complexity. Being bound as a result of this theft highlights the risks and consequences of her achievements.
The addition of her concocting a potion of immortality and using it on herself long before she was bound is a fascinating twist. It explains her longevity and adds another dimension to her character.
*Agatha Harkness* : as the Spirit witch not only has the ability to absorb the witchcraft of others through the Darkhold and rejuvenate herself by draining other witches adds a dark and powerful dimension to her. This effectively halts her aging process, making her a formidable and enduring presence in the story.
      In short:
Jennifer paid for her longlivety with the price of her being a bound witch
      Lilia " " " " " " (forced) isolation and being risk averse.
Alice " " " " " " sacrifice of the life of her mother and losing her massive fortune to making the Ballad of the Witches' Road a classic hit.
      Agatha " " " " " " " " her child Nick Scratch.

To me, earth magic is less about the element itself (like water magic was about potions) and more about earth as a contrast to divine, like the Ballad implies. So Billy's knowledge and suggestions of analog magic (like the brooms) actually fits him in this "earth magic"

  • @andreaaprico1704
    @andreaaprico1704 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +25

It could be that Billy made the road appear subconsciously when he got attacked by the Salem Seven.
His magic made a place for them to all escape from the threat.
So he thinks (they all think) they are on the road but they are just in a magical space mapped out by Billy and there won’t be any Tommy at the end but instead the lessons learnt and bond of a true coven at the end.
I think Agatha has known from the start they are in Billy’s creation. The way she first looks around when the door to the road seals over and picks up the dirt from the road. Along with certain lines to Billy “it suits you” and “I didn’t know you had it in you”
I think it also explains why she was so protective about Billy dying (not wanting him to drink the poisoned wine, the glass in his stomach. Because if he dies they may all be trapped “on the road” forever.

"we are told it's against the rules to occupy a dead body; maybe rio is interested in billy because he occupied william's dead body"
🕵‍♂Exactly, this proves that Billy can't be the Earth witch, because this is straight up necromancy the anithesis of Earth witchcraft.
If Billy is indeed occupying William’s dead body, it would align more with necromancy rather than Earth witchcraft. Necromancy, which involves manipulating the dead, is often considered the opposite of Earth witchcraft, which is typically associated with life, growth, and nature.
🤨This distinction adds another layer of complexity to the story and the characters involved. It raises questions about Billy’s true nature and intentions, as well as the rules and ethics surrounding magic in this universe.

I just thought of something, after realizing Agatha is the coven's Spirit Witch; "with Spirit as our guide" (according to the Ballad).
I assumed it meant they would be guided by a ghost or something... but Agatha has been mentoring/guiding them the entire time in her usual caustic way (Sharon on the road, Jen during potions, Alice during the jam session, and has been guiding Teen throughout the entirety of the show, even after his reveal and him insisiting he didn't need her... she's still willing to impart her knowledge and guide him to seek his desire at the end.) 😂

So, that particular color of blue is just a Jewish Color. If you go to any synagogue, especially a Reform one, there will be a million loaner yarmulkes that are that color, the Shabbat siddurim (prayer books) are a darker version of that color...
It's funny bc every gentile AAA fan I know has pointed to this blue as a link to Wiccan - and it might be, or maybe that blue is part of Wiccan's costume design bc he's canonically Jewish! - but every Jewish fan I know just didn't even notice it bc that blue is everywhere in our lives.

"So, that particular color of blue is just a Jewish Color."
🤔Isn't blue often associated with water & life? In many cultures and contexts, blue symbolizes tranquility, depth, and stability, which are qualities often linked to water. Water is essential for life, and its blue color can represent vitality and renewal.
🧐In the context of witchcraft & magic, blue can also symbolize wisdom, protection, and healing. This makes it a fitting color for characters who possess these qualities or abilities.
👮‍♀This perfectly explains why the color of the witches at Agatha’s trial was blue, as they were likely tasked with the important role of safeguarding other witches.

Just one note for the earth element : the pentacle is the magical tool associated with the earth. Billy has a pentacle on his shirt and from what I've seen, Wiccan is often represented channeling his magic through pentacles too. So it kinda fits for his incoming trial but that doesn't make him the green witch for sure.

This can only be a recipy for disaster, then again I've seen Disney's *Fantasia: Sorceror's Apprentice.*
🧠Giving someone powerful magic without the necessary knowledge or control is like giving a loaded gun to a toddler. It highlights the potential for unpredictable and severe consequences when powerful forces are not properly understood or controlled.

😎Power is irrelevant if you lack knowledge of the 5 element trials on the Witches' Road.
Power without knowledge and experience can be quite limiting, especially when it comes to something as complex as the 5 element trials on the Witches’ Road. These trials likely demand not just raw power, but also a deep understanding of each element and the wisdom to apply that knowledge effectively.
🧠It’s a great reminder that true strength often comes from a combination of power, wisdom, and experience. Billy may have immense power, but without the wisdom and experience that Agatha possesses, he might struggle to succeed in the trials.

In Episode one, we learned that the "DARKHOLD" is a book in the Natural sciences section of the library.
Yes, this is just in Agatha's spell-bound mind but I assume it is rooted from what Agatha knows - and it means that DARKHOLD is related to Earth magic.

🤓My working theory is that Agatha & Rio belonged to the same coven that travelled the Witches' Road before.
The idea that Agatha and Rio had their own personal agendas while traveling the Witches’ Road adds significant depth to their characters. Agatha’s quest for the Darkhold and Rio’s ambition to become THE Green Witch could indeed have driven them to make such sacrifices.
😍The notion that they fell in💖after seeing & accepting each other’s true selves while travelling the Witches' Road adds a romantic yet dark twist to their story. The idea that they both sacrificed the rest of their coven to achieve their goals adds a dark & intriguing layer to their characters. It would be fascinating to see future storylines explore this backstory further and reveal more about their motivations and actions.

*THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE WITCHES' ROAD ACCORDING TO TRICKY D*
🕵‍♂The Road is teaching it's travellers, in particular Teen who initiated the coven, that it is a powerful metaphor for the journey that the witches undertakes, highlighting the themes of power, sacrifice, and the natural cycle of life & death.
Teen’s quest to find Tommy is deeply intertwined with these lessons, and their actions have far-reaching consequences, such as Alice’s death.
🧠The idea that nothing is for free and that death is a natural part of the cycle adds a profound layer to the characters’ motivations and actions. It emphasizes the complexities and moral dilemmas they face, making their journeys even more compelling.
🧐Lilia played a significant role in facilitating Billy’s return by not warning William. Sacrificing the innocent further underscores the harsh realities and difficult choices that the coven must navigate. This duality of altruism & opportunism adds depth to the story and makes the characters more relatable and multifaceted.

🧠If Rio is claiming to be like Rome, it implies a central, inescapable role in the story, much like how all roads in the Roman Empire led to Rome. On the other hand, if she’s like Mistress Death, it suggests a more ominous role where she represents the end or death for everyone.

However, it seemed that only someone with a green thumb is needed to summon the gate to the Road, but in order to claim the final prize at the end of the Road each trial must be passed succesfully.
🧙‍♀The cunning nature of Agatha (a trickster witch after my own 💖) & her ability to adapt her plans on the fly make her a truly intriguing character. By initially choosing Sharon, she cleverly manipulated the coven and aimed to regain her witchcraft by draining their powers. The belief that the gate couldn’t be summoned without an Earth witch was indeed a clever manipulation tactic. The moment she noticed that Sharon was enough of an Earth witch for the gate to be summoned she quickly pivoted into wanting to claim the final prize at the end of the Road.

If the sigil was specifically designed to protect Billy and he was the one carrying it, it would likely only affect him. The idea of it affecting both twins would be more plausible if they were conjoined or if the sigil had some sort of broader, shared effect.
😶Since Lilia created the sigil to forget Billy, every premonition involving him were incomplete, it could indeed have far-reaching consequences. Lilia’s creation of the sigil to forget Billy led to incomplete premonitions and ultimately to the deaths of William and Alice, it indeed suggests that Billy’s return has already had tragic consequences. This adds a deep layer of complexity and tragedy to the story, highlighting how actions taken with good intentions can sometimes lead to unforeseen and devastating outcomes.

🤓An Astral Map, also known as an astrology birth chart or natal chart, indeed refers to the positions of the planets at the exact moment of your birth. It serves as a guide to understanding your personality, strengths, weaknesses, and potential life path.
👉However, the term “Astral Map” can also be interpreted in different contexts. Something interesting to note from the upcoming episodes is that, in the castle tower, everyone was dressed as a witch *except* Billy, who was dressed as a fairy. (We love that for him.)
And if blue magic is water then Billy would presumably be in the same category as Jennifer Kale, the potion witch. If the theory that Billy's room foreshadows the Witch's Road, then the Houdini picture might be a reference to the water in Jennifer's trial, as escaping a glass box full of water is a famous Houdini trick. But Houdini wasn't a real occultist, being famously skeptic, so along with the distinct lack of occultism in that trial's motifs it might mean that Jennifer and Billy aren't real witches. In Jennifer's case it's because she's had her powers stolen. But in Billy's case it might be something more. (Also, Houdini was Jewish like Billy, and the showrunner is Jewish and wanted Billy's Jewishness to be clear and explicit, which is why I think maybe the Houdini theming was intentional, and might be revisited more explicitly later since both Jennifer and Billy are still alive.)
I don't know what exactly they're going to do with Billy if he's "not a real witch" but I'm curious. Since Blackheart is Mephisto's son and Billy is made from Mephisto, they might be making him a transfigured Blackheart, thus he's a demon instead of a witch. (Much like with Maleficient again, this would make him a magical being instead of a magical practitioner.) I hope they don't, cause "children of Satan" is a common antisemitic canard aimed at the Jewish people, and I don't think we need that right now. But it's already in the comics so I don't know if they can do anything about it except possibly ignore or downplay it, in which case they might go for the Demiurge angle and lean into that somehow.

😐You'll get that with anything involving Judaism.
My point is that Lilith is the 1st feminist who wants equal rights for women, simply because she's the exact opposite of the subservient Eve.
🧠Lilith & Eve are often contrasted in mythology and religious texts. Lilith is depicted as Adam's 1st wife who was created from the same clay as Adam. She is known for her refusal to be subservient to him, leading to her banishment from the Garden of Eden. This defiance and independence have made her a symbol of rebellion and empowerment in various interpretations.
On the other hand, Eve, created from Adam's rib, is traditionally portrayed as more subservient and compliant. She is often seen as the archetypal wife who follows Adam's lead, although she also plays a pivotal role in the story of the Fall by eating the forbidden fruit.
So, in many ways, Lilith can be seen as the opposite of Eve, representing independence and defiance, while Eve represents subservience and compliance. However, both figures have complex narratives and have been interpreted in various ways throughout history.
🕵‍♂I guess men in religious organisations don't want to be reminded that every man is born from woman, thus partly woman too.
The narratives of Lilith & Eve certainly touch on deep themes about gender roles and identity.
👉The idea that every man is born from a woman and thus carries a part of her is a powerful reminder of the interconnectedness of all human beings.
These stories have been interpreted in many ways over the centuries, often reflecting the values and beliefs of the societies that tell them.
🤓It's fascinating how ancient myths can still spark meaningful conversations today.

@@TrickyD That's... literally the thing I was talking about her being "rewritten." Lilith was originally a demon associated with child death, miscarriage, and SIDS. She was likely inspired by Lamashtu, a Mesopotamian goddess/monster/demon. She was considered a scary monster, one that was most harmful to young mothers and their children.
However, an unpopular medieval rabbi and author named Ben Sira wrote a satire (Alphabet of Ben Sira, or Alhapbet of Sirach) where Lilith was Adam's "first wife" and her desire to top in bed was a sin. It was unpopular in the Jewish community for its sexism, its mistreatment of the popular and important Eve, and because it went counter to existing rabbinic interpretations that stated the original Adam was bi-sexed before they were bisected into Adam and Eve.
But this unpopular satire became super popular with Christians who viewed it as a "secret and hidden origin story" that the Jews kept hidden from them. It later morphed so that Lilith was a feminist icon, and people started saying she was secretly the goddess Ishtar. (While never worshiping Ishtar, of course, who they always could have worshiped, instead focusing on Lilith.) They conceived of The Jews as having rewritten our own holy texts to erase this divine demonic girlboss and thus we are the origin of all sexism and misogyny in western culture. (Even though Jewish women typically have much more authority in Jewish culture than in most Western culture, but supercessionism is a common form of antisemitism and it frames Jews as the ancient source of all of Christianity's flaws.)
So yeah, your entire view on Lilith was based on antisemitic lies about a misogynist's overhyped satire. You know those yaoi shipper who write Eric Cartman as a sexy feminist icon who accepts everyone who is different? You're doing that. You're hyping up fanon Eric Cartman right now.

🤓Stories get rewritten all the time.
Modern Christianity is rewritten stories of Judaism, Greek & Roman mythology. I just find it fascinating how stories & religious narratives evolve over time and influence human society.
🕵‍♂As an apathologist, someone who isn't interested in proving whether God(s) does or doesn't exist, I rather focus on the societal impact of these stories rather than their historical accuracy, allows for a deeper understanding of how these narratives shape cultures, moral values, and social norms. .
😎Religious stories, whether from Judaism, Christianity, or other traditions, have shaped cultures, moral values, and social norms throughout history. The way these stories are rewritten and adapted often reflects the changing needs and values of societies. For example, the transformation of Jesus’ teachings to fit the Roman Empire’s context is a clear example of how religious narratives can be molded to serve political and cultural purposes.

    *IS BILLY THE SORCEROR'S APPRENTICE?*
🤔It seems to me that the theme of Billy in *AAA* and the theme of *Fantasia's: the Sorceror's Apprentice* are the same.
Both Billy's desire to resurrect Tommy and the Sorcerer's Apprentice's use of magic reflect a reluctance to face difficult emotions or responsibilities.
My analysis highlights the shared themes of avoidance, consequences, and the need for learning and growth.
    *Billy's Desire to Resurrect Tommy*
    - *Avoidance of Mourning* : Billy's wish to bring back his brother Tommy can be seen as an attempt to avoid the pain of mourning & loss. Instead of accepting and processing his grief, he seeks a magical solution to undo the separation.
    - *Emotional Drive* : His actions are driven by deep emotional bonds and the pain of losing a loved one, which makes his motivations more personal and heartfelt.
    *The Sorcerer's Apprentice*
    - *Avoidance of Hard Work* : The Sorcerer's Apprentice uses magic to avoid the mundane task of fetching water, driven by impatience and a desire for convenience. This reflects a reluctance to put in the effort and learn the necessary skills.
    - *Ambition & Impatience* : His actions are motivated by ambition and a lack of patience, leading to unintended chaos and a lesson in the importance of responsibility.
    *Common Themes*
    - *Avoidance* : Both characters use magic as a means to avoid facing difficult emotions or responsibilities. Billy avoids mourning, while the apprentice avoids hard work.
    - *Consequences* : Both stories highlight the consequences of using magic to bypass natural processes. Billy's actions could disrupt the balance of life & death, while the apprentice's actions lead to immediate chaos.
    - *Learning & Growth* : Ultimately, both characters must learn important lessons about the responsible use of power and the importance of facing challenges head-on.
😎My comparison underscores the shared theme of avoiding difficult experiences through magical means, and the eventual realization that such avoidance can lead to greater challenges.

It feels like the elements of the trials have only been loosely tied to the witches’ specific abilities. Alice is a protection witch, she had the fire trial, perhaps because of the nature of the curse on her family, and her mother’s death in a hotel fire. But her speciality is not “fire magic.” Jen is a potions witch, so I guess her having the water trial makes sense, but it’s not like her ability is to conjure or control literal water. Lilia is a divination witch and she’s getting the air trial. Doesn’t really seem connected to her speciality. Jac said Agatha is a “spirit witch,” and she has the spirit trial. The lore there feels very murky. Billy having the earth trial could be connected to his dormant abilities as Wiccan (other commenters have expounded on that), but it could also be connected to his specific trauma, like Alice’s was. In the trailer it looks like his trial takes place in a morgue that at one point caves in with dirt, threatening to bury the witches (who emerge from body bags) alive. Pretty obvious connections to his personal history.
I think it’s hilarious that Agatha was so fixated on Rio and averse to seeing her ex that she literally ate Lilia’s coven list, but Billy being the black heart (maybe drawn by Lilia because it was the last “alias” used for Billy?) makes much more sense to me. He’s been more part of the coven than Rio, who as Agatha has said is a mere “tourist” on the Road. She’s been tagging along to stir the pot, and I agree that she wants to collect Billy’s body. Billy on the other hand has been the instigator and most enthusiastic member of the coven, and in this episode we saw how he and the other coven members were connected long before they gathered in Agatha’s basement. “Circle sewn with fate.”

"It feels like the elements of the trials have only been loosely tied to the witches’ specific abilities."
🖐The trials have been specifically chosen for each witch represtenting the element.
They are tailored to highlight their unique strengths & challenges, showing how each witch’s abilities are tested in ways that are meaningful to their character & their element. It also emphasizes the importance of balance and the interconnectedness of the elements in their trials.
"Alice is a protection witch, she had the fire trial, perhaps because of the nature of the curse on her family, and her mother’s death in a hotel fire."
🤓Fire has been a crucial element for humanity since the dawn of time. It provided warmth, light, and protection against wild animals and other dangers lurking in the dark. In magical practices, fire continues to symbolize protection, transformation, and strength.
For a Protection witch like Alice, the🔥trial is a perfect representation of these qualities. The color red, associated with fire, embodies courage, strength, and protective energies, making it an essential part of her magical toolkit.
The attributes of the color red align perfectly with her abilities and the challenges she faces:
      - *Courage & Strength* : Red's association with strength and courage is essential for a protection witch like Alice, helping her overcome obstacles and defend against threats.
      - *Protection* : The protective qualities of red make it a natural choice for spells and rituals aimed at shielding against negative energies.
      - *Fire Element* : As a fire trial, red symbolizes heat, transformation, and the power of the sun, all of which are crucial for a witch who uses fire to protect and transform. Incorporating these elements into her magical practices can enhance Alice's abilities and ensure she remains a powerful protector.
"Jen is a potions witch, so I guess her having the water trial makes sense, but it’s not like her ability is to conjure or control literal water." Jen's💧trial is perfectly aligned with her abilities as an Apothecary witch. The color blue indeed holds significant meaning in various magical practices. Here's a quick recap of its key attributes:
      - *Tranquility & Calmness* : Promotes relaxation and reduces stress.
      - *Healing* : Brings balance and harmony to physical and emotional well-being.
      - *Protection* : Wards off negative energies and provides safety.
      - *Water Element* : Symbolizes emotions, intuition, and the unconscious mind.
Incorporating blue into magical practices can be incredibly beneficial, whether you're seeking tranquility, wisdom, healing, protection, or a deeper connection with the water element.
"Lilia is a divination witch and she’s getting the air trial. Doesn’t really seem connected to her speciality."
Lilia’s🌬trial as the Divination witch is perfectly aligned with the attributes of the color yellow.
      - *Happiness and Optimism* : Linked to joy, positivity, and a cheerful outlook.
      - *Mental Clarity and Intellect* : Connected to wisdom and intellectual pursuits, stimulating mental activity and clarity of thought.
      - *Solar Energy* : Associated with the sun, harnessing its energy for protection, wealth, and abundance.
      - *Creativity & Inspiration* : Enhances creativity and inspiration, aiding in spells related to success and personal power.
Incorporating yellow into magical practices can indeed help tap into these energies and enhance spell work. It seems like the color yellow is well-suited to her diviniation ability.
"Jac said Agatha is a “spirit witch,” and she has the spirit trial. The lore there feels very murky."
It seems like Agatha's role as a Spirit witch and her 👻trial involving the color purple are deeply intertwined with her character's attributes. Here's a summary of the key points about the color purple in magical practices:
      - *Spirituality and Psychic Awareness* : Linked to spiritual growth, intuition, and psychic abilities.
      - *Mystery & Magic* : Represents mystery, magic, and the supernatural.
      - *Wisdom & Enlightenment* : Associated with wisdom, enlightenment, and higher states of consciousness.
      - *Royalty & Nobility* : Historically linked to power, luxury, and prestige.
The color purple's association with mystery, intuition, and divine connection aligns perfectly with Agatha's character and abilities. Her use of purple in her magic and appearance underscores her deep connection to these mystical properties. Agatha's ability to absorb other witches' magic and life force is a powerful and dark aspect of her character, and the color purple enhances this sense of her being deeply connected to higher states of consciousness and spiritual insight.
It's fascinating how these symbolic elements come together to create a rich and compelling character.
"Billy having the earth trial could be connected to his dormant abilities as Wiccan (other commenters have expounded on that), but it could also be connected to his specific trauma, like Alice’s was."
Alice's trial wasn't connected at a specific trauma, but to her speciality and magic color. Furthermore, Billy isn't the Green witch, since his color is blue, which certainly isn't Earth magic. The color for Earth magic is green, which proves again that Rio Vidal (aka the river of life) is THE Green witch.
Rio Vidal’s connection to the color green and🌍magic is deeply intertwined with her character’s attributes and the narrative. The color green’s association with growth, healing, nature, and the heart chakra underscores her connection to these powerful energies.
      - *Growth & Fertility* : Linked to fertility, abundance, and new beginnings.
      - *Healing* : Promotes physical and emotional well-being, bringing balance and rejuvenation.
      - *Nature & Earth* : Connected to the energies of the Earth, promoting sustainability and ecological awareness.
      - *Heart Chakra* : Associated with love, compassion, and forgiveness, central to emotional and spiritual healing.
Incorporating green into magical practices can indeed help tap into these energies and enhance spell work. It seems like the green witch's trial is well-suited to her abilities and the attributes of the color green.
🖤The symbolism of the Heart Chakra and its association with💖, compassion, and forgiveness adds a rich layer to her story, especially considering her complex relationship with Agatha.
The idea that Rio is the “black heart” because of her inability to forgive Agatha for sacrificing her son Nick to obtain the Darkhold is a powerful and emotional aspect of her character. It highlights the depth of her pain and the strength of her unresolved feelings.

I would have presumed the shift to cop drama was Rio's doing, informing Agatha that Wanda is "dead". Presumably, she would also be aware that Billy would do the rest in helping Agatha out of the spell. My guess on tropes of Agatha at places of death like the Titanic may have been her helping Rio ensure that things that needed ti happen for the cosmic balance of Death.
Agatha otherwise put some sort of protection from Rio through the Darkhold, which might be when she wanted to distance herself from helping Rio.
Also, could Billy have a sort of tripple goddess thing? His birth mother is the mother, the crone would be Agatha, and Maiden would be Wanda consider the birth wasn't through the normal way.

Agatha will realise she has to save the twins but that her power alone isn't enough to stop Rio, so she will use her end of road wish to instead bring back Wanda, knowing the Scarlet Witch to be much more powerful.
Sacrificing her power to save Tommy and Billy would be enough to have Wanda reconcile with her, so that Agatha can be more the mentor figure she is in the comics (assuming these characters have more stories to tell in the future, which I hope they do).

😶Agatha provided a soulless body for Chthon to get the Darkhold and stored Nick’s soul in her familiar, Señor Scratchy, so it makes sense that she might now want to transfer Nick’s soul into Billy, or technically William’s body. This adds a fascinating layer to Agatha’s character and her motivations.
🤔It raises questions about the lengths Agatha is willing to go to achieve her goals and the ethical implications of her actions. The idea of transferring souls and using familiars in this way adds a lot of depth and complexity to the story.
🤓My theory has always been that it was Chthon in Teen's body and the only way to exorcise him was to resurrect Wanda so he would voluntarily leave Teen's to enter her body so he could wield chaos magic again. With Billy’s abilities as a chaos mage, it does seem plausible that Chthon might target him instead. The dynamics between these characters and the potential for possession make for a compelling narrative.

@heathersarnavskiy7879 I thought it looked like a W for Wanda or William at first, but after the episode that doesn't really make sense. For one thing, the sigil is on a lot of the art we've seen, so Wanda would have had to have travelled into the past and influenced the making of the art, which seems like a lot of effort. Additionally, it doesn't really make sense that Wanda would put a sigil on Billy hiding him from everyone, including herself, when she'd want him near to protect him (like, every bad thing that happens to Wanda after Westview is a direct result of her searching for, and not being able to find, her children - so to find out that was because of a choice she made would feel kind of weird because why make that choice?). The only way it makes sense to be Wanda is if she realises Death/Rio will come for William's body and is trying to hide him, that could work I guess, and the sigil looking like a W is just a coincidence.

[sufferin' sapphics, Batman! A shameless concept album plug]
    🎵For your ears only :
Speakin' of sapphic gangs, any one here heard of *Eisa Davis & Lin-Manuel Miranda* Movie-to-Musical adaptation : *Warriors?*
Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis have created a concept album called *Warriors*, inspired by the 1979 cult film *The Warriors*. This album features a gender-flipped take on the original story, with the Warriors and the respected gang leader being all female.
The album was released on October 18, 2024, and it blends various musical genres, including rap, hip-hop, salsa, merengue, ska, R&B, and funk. It's an inventive project that brings a fresh perspective to the classic story.
While it's currently a concept album, there's speculation that it could eventually be adapted into a stage musical, similar to how *Hamilton* started as a concept album. If you're a fan of *The Warriors*, this new take on the story might be worth checking out!
🤓With the exception of *Grease* (1978) & *Westside Story* (1961) I don't like musicals, but The Warriors is 1 of my Top10 movies so will check out his female version if it appears on film like *Westside Story.*

"I want to know why Agatha calls Lilia a coward."
🕵‍♂As a divination witch, Lilia’s abilities likely allow her to foresee potential dangers & avoid physical confrontations. This could be why Agatha calls her a coward, as she might perceive Lilia’s reliance on her divination powers as a way to escape direct conflict rather than facing challenges head-on.
🧠Agatha, who isn't afraid of gettin' her hands bloody & bein' more confrontational & action-oriented, might see this as a sign of weakness or cowardice. This dynamic adds an intriguing layer to their relationship and highlights the different ways they approach challenges. It also emphasizes the contrast between their personalities and methods.

🤔Lilia’s creation of the sigil could stem from a mix of guilt & self-preservation. Sacrificing William to bring Billy back would be a heavy burden to bear, and the sigil might serve as a way for her to cope with that guilt by allowing her to live in ignorance of the full consequences.
🕵‍♂The added benefit of the sigil protecting Billy from other witches could be seen as a fortunate byproduct, providing an extra layer of safety for him. This dual purpose of the sigil adds depth to Lilia’s character and her actions.

*IS BILLY EVIL FOR CHALLENGING THE NATURAL ORDER OF LIFE & DEATH?*
It seems like Billy's desire to resurrect Tommy in *AAA* echoes the lesson Wanda tried to teach in *WV* about the consequences of resurrection. In *WV,* Wanda refused to resurrect Sparky, teaching her children that death is a natural part of life and cannot be reversed.
Billy’s actions in trying to resurrect Tommy certainly raise interesting ethical questions. However, labeling him as “evil” might be too harsh. His motivations stem from love and a deep emotional bond with his brother, rather than malicious intent.
In the MCU characters often grapple with complex moral dilemmas, and Billy’s struggle is a reflection of his humanity and the pain of loss. Challenging the natural order of life and death is a common theme in many stories, and it often leads to unintended consequences.
Billy’s actions show his desperation and love, but they also highlight the importance of understanding and accepting the natural cycle of life. It’s a nuanced situation that adds depth to his character and the overall narrative.
The follow-up question then would be:
    *DOES ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPT ABSOLUTELY?*
The idea that “absolute power corrupts absolutely” is a common theme in many stories, including the MCU. Characters who gain immense power often face the temptation to use it in ways that can lead to corruption and unintended consequences.
In the case of Billy, his desire to resurrect Tommy comes from a place of love and desperation. However, if he were to gain absolute power, the risk of corruption would certainly be a concern. The MCU has shown that even well-intentioned characters can be led astray by the allure of power, as seen with Wanda’s own struggles with the Darkhold.
It’s a complex and thought-provoking topic that adds depth to the characters and their stories.

I think William was Nicholas before he was Billy. Hear me out, Agatha's GF, Death couldn't stand to kill the boy so she hid him, see the conversation at the party about Thank you for 'Everything', I think he was indicating he was adopted. If the timeline wasn't so off I'd almost think Agatha's mother killed the baby boy, because only girls get to be witches or some such, and she used the book to bring him back, and that was her crime.

"Death couldn't stand to kill the boy so she hid him, see the conversation at the party about Thank you for 'Everything',"
🧐If Nick wasn't sacrificed to Chthon, how did Agatha get the Darkhold?
🤓In *AAA,* it's revealed that Agatha Harkness obtained the Darkhold, also known as the Book of the Damned, through a tragic sacrifice. Agatha traded her son, Nicholas Scratch, to Chthon in exchange for the Darkhold. This dark pact is hinted at throughout the series, particularly in Agatha's hallucinations and the mysterious circumstances surrounding Nicholas.
🤐The Darkhold is a powerful tome of dark magic, and Agatha's willingness to sacrifice her son for it underscores the lengths she would go to gain power.

@@TrickyD I was stretching for the direct connection to her mother, but the Disney show seems to be hinting at a 'you heard the myths, but you don't know the true story' angle for Agatha. I could be entirely off base, but it really feels like there is something more about William and the parents we have not been let in on in the show. That's the fun of these theories, the show runner is already playing fast and loose with Agnus's story anyways, and has admitted to simplifying Billy's.

Agatha trading her son for it is a legend told by people who hate her and consider her evil.
It’s possible that she in effect traded his life for the Darkhold if her pursuit of it resulted in his death. Which would fit with her hallucination in the first trial. It’s also possible that his death is why she sought the Darkhold’s power. Of course a few hundred years of being called witch killer not mention being pursued by the Salem Seven could have been enough motive to power up too.

🧐Regardless of the hearsay, Agatha’s actions in *WV* & *AAA,* certainly paint her as a complex and morally ambiguous character. Her willingness to use & discard other witches, including her own mother and coven sisters, does suggest a darker, more manipulative side.
🤦‍♂What I find ironic is that we've seen Agatha kill them all and yet some still aren't convinced that Agatha is an evil manipulative & powerhungry witch.
