15 years into his career, Taha Shah Badussha celebrates immense popularity as Tajdar in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi. In a poignant and personal interview, he speaks about the journey/struggles thus far.
Bhansali's digital debut is a fictional series on Netflix set against the Indian independence movement against the British Raj in the 1940s. It revolves around the tawaifs living in the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore (current day, Pakistan). The scheming Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala) rules over an elite house of courtesans - but a new rival threatens her reign as rebellion brews in British-ruled India. Principal actors also include Sanjeeda Shaikh and Sonakshi Sinha. Also actors Adhyayan Suman, Shekhar Suman and Fardeen Khan.
Taha is an Indian actor who primarily works in Hindi films. After making his debut with Y-Films romantic comedy Luv Ka The End (2011), by Yash Raj Films. He then appeared in Dharma Productions’ comedy-drama Gippi (2013) and Baar Baar Dekho (2016). Badussha also starred in the ZEE5 series, Taj: Divided By Blood (2023).
