Heya Jason, I'm really surprised on how underrated this channel is! These tips are very very useful and keep posting these types of videos! Easy choice of subscribing to you.
I never had a drawing Master before I will self-taught most of my life going with whatever that works for that moment you are very skilled at what you are doing by the way new subscriber
This is perfectly done. I'm doing this digitally however with the tools and art style I'm going for this helps so much and made it so easy. Although a little time consuming and frustrating to get right, when going for a more fluffy beard(What I want for my character) this is perfect... using the blend brush to smudge means I can go over lightly with the pen to give depth, you dont really see the lines but you can notice the difference.. If you have an Ipad or Samsung, I strongly recommend you use layers for individual parts, it really helps to show whats looking good and what isn't but turn off certain layers for a bear and after shot
I really freaked out about my current portrait, first time close up portrait of a bearded person. This helped me soooo much. Thank you, deeply appreciated! Wil definitely subscribe!
This i will definitely test in one of my next portraits! Thank you!! 💜 You make amazing tutorials. There are a lot out there that call themselves that, that don’t deserve the name. Yours are amazing.
You say the kindest words. Thanks a lot. I'm happy my little knowledge was of help. If you try this and you have questions, you can reach me on my IG at jasonlegendaryart
With the V shape, it is kinda near enough perfect for some hairs. As hair can grow in twos and that leaves a V shape. This is a great tip. Looks so good that beard, I don't like drawing guys because of facial hair. But I will give this tip ago and practice it over and over.
I wish TH-cam has more thumbsup buh they only gat one. No problem with that cus in ma Heart I give u more than a thumbsup, I add hug and kiss and love for yah work
Hey Jason I really love your teachings and they helping but I'd love to request you show us more videos on how to draw beards of a person of a different colour like eg.a black person if you get what mean so we can see how to do it 🙏💚thanks
Hey, thanks a a lot I really appreciate your kind words. But regarding your request, it's still the same black hair that grows on black men. The same techniques can be applied no matter the race, don't you think?
I really love and appreciate your thoughtful tutorials, with no hurry and specific instructions. You’re my new favorite art channel on YT. Do you have any detailed advice to shade a pale skin with HB to B6 pencils? My drawings are otherwise pretty okay, but the skin tones are always too dark, even if I use just HB and 2B - even the 2B pencil feels immediately too dark for my use. I just can’t understand how to keep the lining strokes light enough 😅
hey Bayo, look for my video on HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE CHARCOAL POWDER. You can get brushes anywhere they sell make up things. Just ask for round brush and angle brush
This is great! Thank you so much! So I have a tricky question for you… what if (like in my case) the beard has some white hair in it? Like on the mustache area, I just ruined a drawing trying to make it look realistic!
Love this. I have only drawn women because looking at beards give me anxiety 🤣 at some point I want to draw Jesus; the painting by Akiane "prince of peace" but the beard is stopping me right now. I will one day but ill make sure I can do beards before messing it up on my precious Jesus face 🙂 this video gave me a different perspective on beards, will have to watch again in the future !
🤣🤣🤣, it's shocking that I once found women harder to draw. LoL. Not wanting to mess something up will lead to you messing it up, 😂 lol.. But it's true, many of my best pieces come from me trying something new and not bothering if it comes out great or not
It can work. But charcoal is a little too rough for tissue so it will tear easily while blending, just make sure you have enough toilet paper rolls. Lol. But yes you can use tissue

Yeah, I can definitely relate to that feeling. Glad this helped
Thank you for posting this. It is a great help. I can't believe how you use such short pencils. I use an extender when my pencils get small.
This i will definitely test in one of my next portraits! Thank you!! 💜

This is great! Thank you so much! So I have a tricky question for you… what if (like in my case) the beard has some white hair in it? Like on the mustache area, I just ruined a drawing trying to make it look realistic!
Be careful and watch my tutorial so as to get it done better
What's your advice for drawing say, white or light gray or salt and pepper hairs?
Both!
Very good tutorial helpful

Pls can you make a video on how to draw realistic white hair.thank you
Yes I will try
u make it look so easy though.
Lol, it's very easy for it to look like that especially when it's sped up x16
You r amezing💐

Use Grid Drawing Maker app
Awesome drawing my friend

U r amazing
Great video
Thanks a bunch
Superb osm 👌 😍👍
Thanks a million 👍
Mad video🔥🔥 cheers man
Thanks
i like it, its like an upside down sloth
Can u make a video on how to draw stubble
Okay later
Wow
Can u blend with a tissue instead of brush?
It can work. But charcoal is a little too rough for tissue so it will tear easily while blending, just make sure you have enough toilet paper rolls. Lol.
But yes you can use tissue
Awesome
Thanks
Thanks 🤟
🙏🏼🙏🏼
What was with the ruler?
Ha Andrea, you noticed. Yeah, it's so that my skin doesn't touch the drawing. A very inefficient method but hey it works......
thanks bro
👌👌
Amazing video bro but please buy a pencil extender for your too small pencils 😅😂
😀😀😀. You mock me lol, 😂😂. Its true, that's what a reasonable artist should do. But...
@@JasonLegendaryArt yeah I know you're used to using those small pencils I think that's why not buying a pencil extender.
I don't have a brush what can I use.
You can use foam
@@JasonLegendaryArt how can I go with shading dread rocks.
😍😍😍😍😍😍❤❤
Which is this pencil??
I use 2B, 4B, 6B and HB
I thought it was an upside down sloth.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this guy
Looks like Adam waheed
Yes it does, doesn't? Maybe I should draw him
جميل😍😍😍
"Save your strength for later🤣🤣"
Dyauumn yo homie
Lol
👍🏻
Thanks so much
I don't have charcoal pencils
You could use dark graphite pencils like 7 or 8b
Is it just me or did the thumbnail look like a sloth
🤣🤣🤣you got me laughing man.. A sloth? I don't see it,. Anyone?
A hanging sloth… the chin is the head, the mustache is its arms, and the jaw hair is the body and legs
😂😂
Before reading caption, I thought this was a sloth tutorial.
😂yes bro it's a sloth
I was like wha...t ?? In the first stage, it was rough
i accidently clicked on this video LOL
