Another great video John. You convey information very well. After watching this video I think I have the confidence to give making cabinet doors a try when the time comes. I'm still working on building my outfeed table from your plans. Other than a couple of rookie mistakes it's going pretty good.
Thank you, it’s hard to understand all the hinge types so this helped. For ie my bath vanity has a frame and a decorative frame inset into the cabinet by a 1/4” and so my drawers and one door need to be inset deeper to fit into the decorative trim that wraps the entire cabinet. So I’m struggling to know for the partial door (I’m going to make it appear like drawers by ripping in a detail to match the other side of drawers) but I’m unsure the best way and which hinge I should try. I might have to get a few options and test it out before committing and ruining my door. My vanity I made very closely to Shara’s here on YT, it’s a few years back, mid century modern style and I made the custom trim like she did only her door is overlay because hers is attached to her center partition that separates her drawers, where as I want mine to hinge on the right side where the trim is. It could mean I have to use an entirely different hinge, I’ll figure it out but thanks this does help to understand the types and for what purpose. I’m a stickler for inset almost always but for shop cabinets I could always go for overlay too
Awesome video and instructions… thank you!
Great tutorial video John. Thanks!

Great video!
🙌🏼🙌🏼
I need a good table saw, my craftsman contractor saw can’t make these types of cuts accurately. Love the step by step instructions very easy to follow
Good miter gauge and just make sure your blade is square to the miter slot! But yea I get ya, my old saw was a pain to dial in
Your craftsman table saw put a Vega saw fence on it ...
Much improvement
I swear I learn something new with every video of yours. Excellent information. Thanks John!
Really great tutorial on cabinet doors. Good explanation on the various types that can be made
Thank you!

I’ll have to try and find her build to understand more what you’re wanting to do!
It's great that jigs are thought of and used. But you are showing how you use another wider piece of scrap wood to get the job is great.
There’s always another way!
What hinge would you recommend for upward swung doors? Building a van. Thanks!
Hmm I’m not sure on that, sorry!
Link for spacers, please?
