    Thanks for saving me the hassle of creating this video! My first iteration of this was a DIY slightly improved TasticRFID thief (modelled after the bishop fox one) which took a lot of soldering but could also automatically clone a card upon a successful read so I could just pull it out and use it. That said, the end result was too bulky so I hooked up the maxiprox to an ESPkey exactly like you did and decided to do the cloning manually after. Much neater and less prone to hardware mishaps. I'm really liking your channel! Keep up the good work!

      @@amihirata haha try looking for those eBay stores that sell liquidated company assets. I live real far from the US but used a shipment forwarding company to get it for me from the US because yes, the maxiprox IS really expensive. And to be completely honest, I haven't found ridiculously great results with it either. One main thing about it is that it seems to not read EM4xxx tags for example. It pretty much only sees HIDPROX and T55xx tags which actually emulate the hid prox. My advice? Get an AliExpress reader that understands both and you're likely better off than you would be with a maxiprox. But you will not likely get a massive range but you could always "accidentally bump into someone" *wink wink*

      It looked like the back of that reader used epoxy for embedding. That would make it a little harder to get to the buzzer to be able to the turn it on and off.
      I'm wondering how hard it would be to build the electronics into a small module so that just the antenna is that big. Then build the antenna into something less obviously a big square reader.
      If you are stopped and someone looks inside your messenger bag explaining a hunt pad away might be tricky, but if they see a small box, lying in the bottom of the bag and the antenna is built into the side walls you might get away with it.

    hello ! Once you obtain the tag information, what software or hardware do you use to duplicate the tag? or did he repeat the signal to open the door? I managed to carry out the project just as you did, I copied the tag but then I don't know how to repeat the signal or duplicate the tag...regards

    • @mr.s1961
      @mr.s1961 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      if you're using espkey it's already built to replay whatever Wiegand data was captured. If you use the espkey inside an actual production reader, then it would open the door. If you have a mobile reader, then you would take that data and make copies with a writer (as MaxiProx is JUST A READER). There's tons of China write for $5-10 bucks available once you know the frequency and card needed (or just get a t5577 if LF). Or if you want to be expensive, get one of those flipper devices. If you want to learn more about RFID in general, then get a proxmark3.
