You all are hitting your stride with these videos. The last several have been a great balance of personality and instruction and all that malarky. Awesome job Becca and everyone involved!
I have designed a card game based on Tom Clancy's End War and we also made a video as to how to play it... plz check it out n let me know what you think th-cam.com/video/_mbbhdW7KKk/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the video, I wish we'd stumbled across it before puzzling all the rules out ourselves. Well, most the rules - some are still pretty confounding.
You all did a great review of the game. I just purchased it and after reading the rules for an hour between 4 of us, we were stumped. The game is a bit complex, but the reviews for it online are very positive so we're hoping we can understand it sooner rather than later! I'm still confused on how combat works in the game. Nice professional video that did a mostly complete overview of a complex game though! :)
Just got this myself last year and I love it! My wife, brother, and I stayed up till 5am the first night we got it. It's tuff (especially if you read the instructions wrong like I did and deal out more encounters than called for, oops), and there is some RNG to it just like D&D. But once you get the hang of it it is a blast!

I like Becca Scott Kearns presentation, attitude, etc. The issue I have with these vids is that there is way too much focus on the host. For this kind of video to serve its purpose, 90% of the video needs to be on the board and items.
Thanks for the video! Might have to pick this up as it looks awesome. And i think i'll just show everyone this video on how to play instead of even attempting it myself, lol. :)
I just miss Wil... TableTop was a lot more interesting for me. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate these and I'm sure Game the Game is just as fun to watch, but TableTop was just so much more convenient than having to set more time apart to watch a full play through on Twitch compared to seeing a new episode pop-up in my notifications and be able to watch it when I want or can...
It's vids like these that prevent me from buying games I wouldn't enjoy. This is like simple version of D&D that someone decided needed to be more complicated... Eesh
It's worth noting that she explained the FULL game, not the quick game option also included in the rules. The quick game skips a lot of the unnecessary stuff like Location Cards, Dragonfire tokens, etc.

yeah but this doesn't help me understanding the game concept, because the only thing I am thinking the whole time is: gosh is she beautiful. I always thought to be a core gamer means to have no life, or put at least several 100 hours in gaming...at least this is what I have done with my life and that led me no where. She has so much energy, more then I ever lost in gaming...what?
Just in case anyone is wondering about this game currently, it's mediocre at best. It handles deck building pretty poorly overall. Many better options. If you're just set because it's D&D, you may find some enjoyment out of it, but honestly, it's not worth playing.
3 years too late but for anyone reading this DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Concept is fine. Artwork is good. General idea behind game play is fair and balanced for the most part..... the problem? Its way to fucking hard. It is actually border line impossible. I bought this to help transition my nephews into table top games and get used to terminology in the DnD universe which the game does do. The issue is if you follow the rules to the letter you need to play perfectly and have some RNG on your side to have a chance at winning any of the scenarios. Even the very first opening campaign is stupid hard without any potions or magic items which you need to complete campaigns to get..... bottom line it is ridiculously over tuned.
This isn't intended to replace tabletop. Its more to just tell us about games and how they play before going out and buying them. You can watch them play it on twitch.
Stop it. Get help. This is stuff you can easily read from a rulebook/manual. I didn't want to say anything on the previous ones, but this is getting silly. Create content. Don't just make what is basically an introduction to TableTop to quickly explain rules without actual TableTop. Jesus.
Balry : easier, but not really helpfull. It just covers the basics and your group will get annoyed with explaining the details to you CONSTANTLY through the game. Seriously, I've been there, done that. There's a reason the books can't be magically turned into a short vid. In the long run, it just pisses off everyone.
Tan Ghil these are good for people who have never heard of or played the games before, like me. i can tell if i’d be interested in playing by watching these. these short videos make perfect sense
Tan Ghil This is an introduction to a show that is streamed on Twitch, so the other half of the "Tabletop equation" does exist. They play the game live on Tuesday night and rebroadcast it several times during the following Wednesday (not that I can remember the name of it, or if it's Tue/Wed or Wed/Thu)
Try reading the manual without buying the game. It isn't always easily done. This gives people a look into how the game is played and thus can be a way for them to see if they want to buy it or not.
The show they play the board games they are featuring here is called Game the Game on twitch on Wednesdays at 6pm PST. It's free, yes they will promote Alpha, but Game the Game has been on the twitch channel as long as Critical Role.
You all are hitting your stride with these videos. The last several have been a great balance of personality and instruction and all that malarky. Awesome job Becca and everyone involved!
You know she's not going to sleep with you, right?
Shh don't tell him that
Not all men objectify women. You should try it some time.
I should try objectifying women?
Drive Thru Review - I agree!
It's awesome how emotive Becca is.
I have always been interested in playing this game! This makes it much simpler to understand and I am adding it to my list of buys!
the Oh yea jOh ust half a mile from the from the away from thistle re inm ost e Magicians and largest of best buy
Oh cool like a D&D bit simpler.. whoa, ok slow down..

@@krypticstudio you posted that at least 3 times. spam .

I love Becca Scott. She's great.
best deckbuilding game ever. keep up with the videos becca!

Did you have any specific questions about combat?
Just dumped into this game. Is it any good? It looks a little complicated. I LOOOVE D&D.
My brain is literally melting.
Why is it so complicated ?
Could anyone recommend smth easier to understand but similar fantasy game ?
Hold off on losing that pencil, you'll need it....
So its basically Shadowrun Crossfire set in the Forgotten Realms?
YES! I have been waiting for this! I got this game at GenCon and just could NOT figure it out. Thank you G&S!!!
Really? Jesus you must be inbred or something, it's pretty fuckin' simple...
RDR911 was that really necessary? No.
So its Shadowrun Crossfire rebranded for D&D. Got it!
so this is exactly the same as Shadowrun Crossfire? or the reverse
Incredibly succinct!
Reminds me of Warhammer Quest: The Card Game. And yes, I know D&D was around a wee while before.
Gameplay is very similar to another Catalyst game: Shadowrun.
I miss spellfire.
excellent and perky synopsis!!!
Shadowrun: Crossfire, D&D edition.

The hardest part about this game is the rulebook.
Is just me or are the cards she is using larger than the actual cards that come with the game?
Have you seen the helmet on the table? She is obviously a gnome.
I like Becca Scott Kearns presentation, attitude, etc. The issue I have with these vids is that there is way too much focus on the host. For this kind of video to serve its purpose, 90% of the video needs to be on the board and items.
I think I'll stick to regular D&D, it's simpler! O.o
anyone knows her name?
Thanks for the video! Might have to pick this up as it looks awesome. And i think i'll just show everyone this video on how to play instead of even attempting it myself, lol. :)

Who is this chick? She really knows her stuff..
A fully co-op adventure game that plays more than 4 people? I have to look into this.
Plays up to 6 well and even down to 2 decently well.
It's vids like these that prevent me from buying games I wouldn't enjoy. This is like simple version of D&D that someone decided needed to be more complicated... Eesh

Your game sucks, player elimination is a big no no
i love her. please love back this random youtube commenter
Interesting, like DnD Boiled down to Wrath of Ashardalon board game boiled down into a card game.
Don't forget Dungeon Command that also has cards but no dice. It has limited tiles and minis though.
Hi I'm going to show you how to play a card game from a really far away perspective
How to play me! Nice! :’D
Beccaaaaa
Great showcase of cards but explains nothing of what is what.
That is dodo
So... it's Dnd, minus all of the fun things about Dnd? Sign me up!
RedKing, yeah... I should probably change that... xD

Slow down and stop yelling
Nice redhead BTW :D

Very cute girl!
agreed .. whats her name?

Why do you say it handles deck building poorly? What are your critiques and what are some better options in your opinion?

Simple!
Not.
I'm happy I bought this before I saw this video months ago. I would not have bought it after seeing it gone 9ver by not Wil
have a cute chic do instructional video... guaranteed views. Eyeroll. 0 stars.
I'm sorry but tabletop was waaay more entertaining and informative
This isn't intended to replace tabletop. Its more to just tell us about games and how they play before going out and buying them. You can watch them play it on twitch.
You're right Stuka, the show this advertises on Alpha (Game the Game) is designed to replace Tabletop, which is why people hate this show.
Can't listen to her.
Gimme dat sweet sweet cringe
I really hate deck builder games. Not sure I would enjoy this one even though I love D&D
Well this seems more complicated than just playing D&D...
Think I’ll find a new video. She’s talking way to fast, and I don’t just want to watch her talk the whole time, rather see more of the cards etc.
Dragonfire is one of the worst games I've ever wasted my time playing.
when i play games i want to have fun,,, not remember dozen of rules and exceptions,,,,, feels to much like work than play
I want to lose my dice and get this girl!!! :-D
Becca is looking mighty fine. Nice game too.
This chick doesnt play this for sure.

Don't forget to pay $10/mo to watch the actual show this is an ad for on Alpha!
No thanks.
