well, the 40k example is pretty wrong, like, if you follow the imperium, its goal is good. a better 40k example may be Chaos or Drukhari. as they do not even pretend that there is a "good cause" while the imperium is fighting for humanity survival, a very good goal to be quite honest as I am a human.
