Living in The Netherlands, searching for an European dealership, found one in Finland, bought the 210ext, i'm OVER EXCITED! Thanks for al the video's, i appreciate it!
Down here(Australia) our 210EXT has all the features of the 255 except the spot and gas purge, my 210 is a couple years old now hasnt skipped a beat so far... I ended up springing for the matching water cooler(W300)and a 25' CK230 torch can hold hold that sucker absolute flat chat indefinitely :)
Justin, thanks for the video. When replacing my old monster standup Lincoln TIG with pulse, I found out about the 255EXT Dec 2016. Like you, I never even heard of them; have always owned 'blue' or 'red'. I could not believe they could offer the quality for the price they sold for. I'm sure glad I took the gamble and bought it! Great machine; power and control! I have to say that 4 months in, the main diodes went out, but it was all covered by warranty. Would I get this again...oh yeah!
Hi Jason...I’ve owned many welders over the 40 years that I’ve been welding. They’ve all had problems of more serious nature than what I mentioned of the 255EXT.
milehidude just curious, not trying to toss a dig, I was just curious. I was looking into one. I have the HTP 221 but looking for another one for the shop. 4 mo in going bad has to be a QC or shipping issue I would assume. It’s though to compare all the transformer machines (ived owner many) to this. Totally different animal than copper wrapped machines. Have you had any issues since?
Hi Jason. No issues to date. The only thing I would add is that you can’t use pure tungsten electrodes on inverters ... they burn through the electrode too fast. (The manual makes note of this)
Just got the 325 EXT. Everlast goes the extra mile. I ordered on the 14th (they were out of stock with none coming for a few months), They pulled some strings and got me the 325 in less than a week FROM CHINA!
Bought a 255EXT about 8 months ago and been pretty happy with it. 1/3rd of the price of my Chinese built Dynasty, better duty cycle and comparable features. Everlast has stepped up the quality of the accessories, the torches, foot pedal and flow meter are actually decent. Is there better, sure, but the stuff Miller included with my Dynasty weren't the best either. I think Everlasts customer service is better, bought direct and they were nice enough to price match without a big hassle. Thinking about getting a MIG and another 255 from them soon. The videos are always great, thanks, enjoy watching them. Even for the type of fab work I'm really familiar with it's always nice to see how someone else does the same thing, always learning!
Thanks Justin you helped me make my decision. I’m gonna try everlast. I wanted forney 220 but no post pre flow adjustment. I have Lincoln 210mp I bought new 4 years ago for $1400, now they are 2200-2500 crazy increases with Lincoln, the tig200 was about same pricing 1400 years ago now they are 2500 min.
I had a old everlast 200, there was a board failure from the get go which didn't allow for the pedal to work, trigger button worked fine and it still welded just fine, they had me return it on their dime, and I chose to upgrade to the 225LX, this was in 2011 and that welder was excellent. I ended up selling the welder for more than I paid for it about 6 years later. My newest welder was a song on a facebook buy and is a lincoln squarewave 200 and I miss post flow adjustment and the low amperage starts of the everlast.
These mite be great little welders if you can actually get them to ship you one of them. I was tricked into paying for 1 that was " IN STOCK" but turned out a week later these were not in stock and was given a date when it would be shipped out, then that date rolled rite on by then was given another date then that date is now here today then I was just given yet another date that they think it mite possibly COULD be here on. So I'm really impressed to see anyone using these machines on TH-cam I'm impressed that you guys actually got one delivered to you, WOW........🤬
Lov my Everlast 252 mts, it has lots of power and lots of futures, one thing i like about this machine is there are very few plastic parts on it, the wire feed mechanism is all cast alumni and steel parts.
I've been welding for close to 10 years and have always been a Miller fan. Used a 210 EXT, bought one for myself and have never looked back. That was almost 3 years ago and it has never let me down.
The advanced AC TIG pulse feature combines aspects of AC (cleaning) and DCEN (penetration) for heavy aluminum, and is advertised to enable welding of thicker sections than you normally could at the same amperage with standard AC TIG. I'd like to see an evaluation of this feature which seems to be unique to Everlast.
Awesome video. Having a hard time debating between the 210 ext and the 250 ex, I can't justify the 255 as a hobbyist but your video has sold me either way!
Yeah, I've had my 210EXT (2015 model) for nearly three years now and like it well. I especially like that it has the added Triangle waveform for when I'm welding lighter aluminum. The four fans inside the 210EXT, ironically, make it nearly whisper quiet too.
Lincoln Ritterhouse Start with their website. You can compare specs and decide what you want from there. Then go to Amazon and buy it, or buy it right from the website.
Larry Watson I'll be honest - I love the 221. It's super smooth, has little sacrifice to quality being a multi, but I need more time to really discover it in an unbiased manner so that my review is fair and honest. I do have a huge project coming up where I'll be using it which should be the review.
In my opinion while it is convenient to have everything all in one unit it's also everything dead in the water should something go wrong so it's kind of a toss-up it really isn't that much more money to buy separately in a lot of cases
The advanced square wave AC+DC for aluminum welding is awesome. It allows getting good deep penetration like DC welding aluminum but with the cleaning action.
I just got a 210 ext about 2 months ago and without a doubt its a sweet sweet welder.... the tig and stick processes are very nice. if you are looking at either of these machines id say go for it!
I just bought one of these machines here in Australia. Pretty damn good and the price is unreal... Old 10amp wall plugs here trip out sometimes as its a 15amp plug here, but new outlets that are 10 amp (make up an adapter/grind down the larger earth on the plug like some ppl do) are meant to be rated to 16 amp and i havnt had any trouble on a new circuit. In NZ new 10amp outlets are rated to 20amps my mate tells me so even better for when i shift back!
Good video, I really want a Miller Dynasty for home use. We have 3 different sizes at work and they definitely are great machines, along with all the other blue welders we have. But and this is a big but, I can't justify the cost for having one at home. just to get in at the bottom end is going to cost me about $3,500 dollars. or more haven't checked in a while. Cyber weld is usually the cheapest so that's the pricing I'm using. There other options of course, used Dynasty , but they are hard to come by. Sycro wave, big, power hogs, not as many features. That's the problem with welding with really good equipment it's hard to chose something with less features. Thanks for the review.
I had a Dynasty for years. It was and still is a great machine. I personally can't justify the price anymore. It's too expensive in my opinion for the same thing it has always been. The 255EXT is kind of scary in that is welds better than I remember my Dynasty running. It almost feels wrong to say that, but it's a beast at a fraction of the price.
I bought a itig 200 over 5 years ago and it’s given me trouble free service ever since. Obviously had to get rid of the crap torch.. and it’s no where near as smooth or awesome as the HTP I used previously... but it’s been great. I’m ready to upgrade to a Ac/dc machine but idk if I should save and get the HTP or grab up a $850 Ac/dc Everlast...
Gotta see if the sears nearby can order one of these in for me. Much more convenient picking up from them and ensuring the box ain't beat up than risking having a welder arrive using a courier.

I have been looking at welders and you definitely got my attention with these. In your video you said that the 255 was 100% duty cycle but on Everlast's website it says its 60%. Is this a typo on their site?
PrimeWeld TIG225 might be a good competitor for these Everlast welders. Same technology sold with a CK flex torch and 225a of power. So far I Love mine. I didn't go with everlast because of reviews that scared me.
Yes. Both torches are OEM torches included with the machine. The only thing different is the stubby kit on the 26 torch (not included with the machine). They are actually pretty good torches. I've definitely pushed them well above their ratings and haven't melted them like some of the cheap torches I've used over the years. You can always upgrade if you want though.
Great review of these welders I just purchased the 210ext yesterday and cant wait to try it out. I build mainly drift trikes and small chopper frames with .080 to .120 wall tube so it should be a nice addition to the family. Thanks for all that you do for the utube community.
I’ve been using the Everlast 185 micro for a few years now. Pretty much learn how to tig weld on this machine. Now I’m thinking To upgrade to either of the two machines you’ve reviewed. The 185 works great but lack a lot of features.
Features are nice, but not always essential. It's up to what you actually need to get the job done. I'm kind of a sucker for features whether I use them or not haha.
Just found this channel -- awesome info so far- me and a few friends have a hobby shop where we work on / build our jeeps, we have discussed buying and learning to Tig ... thinking we need a vegas road trip to take one of your classes, and see which machine works best for us
If you drop me a line before you book, I will give you a discount code if 3 or more of you attend at the same time. We currently have 19 machines for you to discover and learn on, and we can run every one of them in one day.
The Fabrication Series Have you tried the tig button yet? I use one on my power tig 250 ex. Its essentially a foot pedal at your finger tip. I do allot of intercooler work on compound turbo diesel stuff. I love the thing.
Love your channel man. I already purchased an Everlast mig setup cause of your suggestions and was just looking at the 210ext last night. Any experience with water cooled torches on that machine? I saw Everlast has bundle special going on right now
Thanks for that video. I’m torn between the 255 everlast and the htp221. Can you do a video using the different wave forms? Also props on the very beautiful aluminum welds! Spot on man!!
rockstarrcustomz I have an AHP. It's a decent machine, but I'd grab an Everlast for better control and long life. It's a more serious machine than the AHP.
The Fabrication Series . Excellent, I’ll do just that. I picked up the rouge bender on your recommendation and it was excellent. I trust your judgement.
I'm considering the HTP 221 but I am a beginner, I'm also 62. Should I buy the 210EXT and save almost $1000, or get the HTP. At my age I don't want to be "stepping up" later. I need something that will last me. I am working on old cars doing sheetmetal repair, and may weld/fix things around the farm. I have a Hobart 185 Mig already. Thanks Justin for all the great reviews, I try to watch them all. Joe in Colorado
255ext over htp all day. I am a professional welder and bought mine 2 years ago. Same performance as 280 dynasty and a fraction of the price. The dynasty is actually missing a few features in comparison.
@Brandon S -Another useless comment. Happy to hear you would not take a Everlast over the others based on NO experience with the welder. Go back to your room and play with your legos. I bet your the same type that is partial to one of the big three trucks and the other two suck...again based on nothing. He said-she said. Why did you even watch the video douche
You wont have to worry about outgrowing the 255ext. Htp is an awesome machine also but a little down on power. Plus the 210 ext is way cheaper. Htp is quieter though.
How would the rumored PrimeWeld 325 Amp TIG compare to the 255EXT? Lots of new features and a can go to very low amp territory. I think you are aware of it. 👌🤪
so how are the stick welds on these? are they both able to run rods such as hard surfacing rods, I know they can run 6010 and 7018, but looking for something that can do hard surfacing on heavy equipment but also do tig welding, would you recommend the 255 or 210 for someone that may not use it often but wants something with a smooth and high output? thanks! -Caleb A.
Curious on something here. At what point in tig welding do you throw the basic theory of 1 amp per .001 thickness? How is 250 amp enough to weld .500 aluminum?
Looking at getting an inverter for some aluminum repairs. Is the 255 still a go to machine or whats a good choice these days for an ocasional repair. No big fabrication just my home shop. Thanks in advance for any reply!!
I got the 210ext and find the noise that the always on fan makes to be annoying. It also trips a gfi in an adjacent 110 circuit to my 220 circuit. Maybe grounding the device would help.. I doubt I would purchace this welder again, I'd probably stick with overpriced Miller.
+Oldsmob455 I do wish the fans are a bit quieter, but in my shop, nothing is quiet. It's not as loud when everything else is going on, but understandable that it would be kind of annoying in a garage or at home. My Lincoln MIG is actually louder than the Everlast machines combined haha.
Sounds like you have issues with the wiring in your shop. You should have that checked. As for the fans, I'll take the continuously running fans for the high duty cycle over the gimicky "fan on demand" the Miller offers. My shop isn't a library, so it isn't quiet. As for the overpriced Miller, and YES they are WAY OVER PRICED, it can also trip your GFIC 110 circuit. Circuits don't care what color your welder is.
I purchased a welding machine everlast mts 225 in Russia, from video reviews on this device, I found out that some welders have 2 AC waves and some have 3.. my case there are 2 waveforms ac.
please tell me why there are different ac waveforms on the same welder?somewhere there are 2 and somewhere 3
im looking ar purchasing a my first tig. I like the reviews on the 210ext, but am also considering the everlasting power pro 265si. have you had any experience with the 265si. the plasma cutter would be nice to have.
Silly question I know... Butttt just how loud are those fans in real life? and did they update these machines so they don't constantly stay on or is that still the case? thanks!
Solid! Had a small memory issue with the 210 which Everlast corrected by sending a board. The machine still worked all day - just couldnt store settings on the other 8 channels. The 255 has been without any problems at all.
Thanks for getting back to me. I just watched you HTP Invertig 221 video, and I think I like that machine even better. I was looking at the HTP years ago.
Hey Justin , I to would be very interested in you findings about the Advanced AC Pulse as im only self taught im struggling a little with setting this feature up. I have the 210 EXT and i to am very impressed with this machine with the knowledge i have so far, ive had some people tell me i must be using a Miller or Lincoln to have the ally welds come out so clean and there jaws drop when you tell them its an Everlast and like you said, they then say who or what brand is that. Any how thanks for the videos you do , much appreciated Cheers from Australia Troy
About damn time someone made a video showing the max power on these green monsters!!! Thanks a million, everyone else just shows how low it will go. POWER!!! Its what drives the USA!
Just purchased a 325EXT, having a hard time finding a happy setting to weld .125 Aluminum tubing. Have you welding anything simular with the 255EXT and if so, can you share all your settings
Are you limited only to the use of “Chinese” tig torches with Everlast or can you use CK or Weldcraft torches without modification or special dines adapters? How about pedal? Does it have the random Chinese connector that no one uses making it hard to get a replacement pedal because the plug is not used by anyone else? I see these as 2 very important wear and tear items that need to be able to get spares if needed or upgraded.
H i Justin like your review on the Everlast 255EXT and 210EXT I'm a beginner welder and do it as a hobbyist only. Just got the Everlast 255EXT because it seem to have everything I will ever need. Still learning to TIG Weld. The manual said I should hook up earth ground to this is that something I should do? I also got the NOVA upgrade kit but there was no 17 torch with it Like my Lincoln that did and I like the way it feels. I seen in one of your video you recommend CK Torch should that be the one for me to go with then the Everlast ? last question will you be doing a next review on just the 255EXT?
I'm torn between the lightning MTS 225 (mig tig stick) and the powertig 255ext (tig and stick) the powering has slightly better specs, but the lightning is the same price and has mig capability. Any guidance would be appreciated
Does the 210ext weld 6010? So would you rather have a 201ext, lincoln squarewave 200, or a powerultra 206pi? Kind of want aluminum capability if I ever come across it
Justin! Thnx for the great review! I’m going to purchase the 210. Mr. Tig recommended to upgrade to the 17f torch. He claimed that the stock torch was garbage. What torch did you use in the vid or which do you recommend for the 210? Thnx.
What is the difference in low range amperage between the machines? On the website the 255 advertises 3 amps DC and 5 amps AC, but the 210 does not mention in the specs.
The 255EXT will START with 3 amps in DC and START with 5 amps in AC. The 210 EXT will START with 5 amps in both DC and AC but can operate down 3 amps.in DC and down to 5 amps AC. So in theory the 255 EXT can have a milder DC START than the 210 EXT. Not a huge difference though as 5 amps is still pretty low.
Living in The Netherlands, searching for an European dealership, found one in Finland, bought the 210ext, i'm OVER EXCITED! Thanks for al the video's, i appreciate it!

Thanks Justin. I bought the 210 EXT shortly after watching this video. It must have been about 9 months ago... I'm very happy with it...
Mr. Tig recommended that the stock torch should be replaced with another, 17f. How was your experience with the torch that came with the machine? Thnx
I really want to know more about that everlast 255ext welder. That looks like one sweet welder.
Would love to see you review the Power Tig 350EXT. Nobody on youtube has done it yet that I can find..

@@sbranham86 I bought a HTP 221. It's an amazing machine. Thanks for the advice 👍🏾💪🏾
Can you do a review on a Everlast power mts 211si?

I have been looking at welders and you definitely got my attention with these. In your video you said that the 255 was 100% duty cycle but on Everlast's website it says its 60%. Is this a typo on their site?
100% at 200 amps, 60% at max. I caught that too...
Everlast's website indeed says, "Industrial 60% Duty Cycle at 250 Amps" ...so ya he goofed in the video, haha.
It would be awesome to compare the everlast digital power pro 256-d with 255ext
New to the world of tig. Can you go over more of the different specialty functions. Sine etc. thanks
PrimeWeld TIG225 might be a good competitor for these Everlast welders. Same technology sold with a CK flex torch and 225a of power. So far I Love mine. I didn't go with everlast because of reviews that scared me.
I agree. Returned repaired welder not what you sent in. Poor company response and top board failures. The PrimeWeld seems like the way to go.
Are you using the accessories that came with the unit? What are your thoughts on the torch setup (torch, cable etc.)
You posted 1 year ago have you used the welder and a update on it ?
I’ve been using the Everlast 185 micro for a few years now. Pretty much learn how to tig weld on this machine. Now I’m thinking To upgrade to either of the two machines you’ve reviewed. The 185 works great but lack a lot of features.
Features are nice, but not always essential. It's up to what you actually need to get the job done. I'm kind of a sucker for features whether I use them or not haha.
I’d love to see a video on the welding table you use in this video. Have you made a video about this table?
+Virgil Landry Yes. It's called "Inexpensive DIY Fab Table"
I just ordered an R TECH 210 machine here in the UK and it's almost identical to the 210 Everlast
Hoping to add a 210 to my stable soon.
How long are the classes
The Fabrication Series
Have you tried the tig button yet? I use one on my power tig 250 ex. Its essentially a foot pedal at your finger tip. I do allot of intercooler work on compound turbo diesel stuff. I love the thing.
Please do a vid of the 210 ext setup and the settings you use for aluminum
J2GXP I'll see what I can do.
Can you let us know of any issues you've had with either of these machines in your shop? Thanks
Have you ever tested
Everlast POWERPRO 164SI. Just looking for a all around Tig and Plasma cutter for a home shop for personal projects.
Thanks Greg
I’ve been debating between the everlast or the AHP for my next welder. The old miller ab/p is a little large to be moving across the shop at 850lbs.
rockstarrcustomz I have an AHP. It's a decent machine, but I'd grab an Everlast for better control and long life. It's a more serious machine than the AHP.
The Fabrication Series . Excellent, I’ll do just that. I picked up the rouge bender on your recommendation and it was excellent. I trust your judgement.
Those look like really great welders.
Great review dude, and awesome graphics too. Thanks!!
Are there any situations where a sine wave would be useful over a square wave or soft square? Am I going to miss it?
Can I weld 1 5/8"x .83 chromoly rollcage with the 210? Which is the best bang for the buck? Should I finance or buy out right?
How about a review of the Everlast 221 sti? Multi-process mig, tig and stick machine
looking at getting a 200DV this winter myself.
Right on.
Nice to see working with 110 v how a/c welding limits top out at? If there would be any difference 255 vs 210 .
great machines I have the 255 and love it
Awesome! It's a pretty serious machine.

How would the rumored PrimeWeld 325 Amp TIG compare to the 255EXT? Lots of new features and a can go to very low amp territory. I think you are aware of it. 👌🤪
Justin , Please make a video on the welding classes the pro’s and the con’s
John Bladykas Pros and cons of a welding class? I'm not sure what you mean.
The classes you took in welding were they worth the training. You brought to welders when you were taking the classes
We offer welding classes here at the shop which is what bought the welders for. I've been welding for 18 years.
so how are the stick welds on these? are they both able to run rods such as hard surfacing rods, I know they can run 6010 and 7018, but looking for something that can do hard surfacing on heavy equipment but also do tig welding, would you recommend the 255 or 210 for someone that may not use it often but wants something with a smooth and high output? thanks!
-Caleb A.
Curious on something here. At what point in tig welding do you throw the basic theory of 1 amp per .001 thickness? How is 250 amp enough to weld .500 aluminum?
Excellent job. Great video
Looking at getting an inverter for some aluminum repairs. Is the 255 still a go to machine or whats a good choice these days for an ocasional repair. No big fabrication just my home shop. Thanks in advance for any reply!!
Hey can you try running the Advanced AC pulse on that half inch aluminum @ 200amps see if that does it without needing to go higher.
Part Out I've had a bunch of requests to run the advanced features in a vid. I'll get to it as soon as I can. It's on the list.
Awesome
Everlast welders look like blue colored R-Tech TIG Welders colored green?
I'm using a 220volt outlet for my welders. My Miller doesn't trip anything, especially not adjacent 110v circuits with nothing plugged into them.
I owned a first gen 201 EXT and thought the fans were really annoyingly loud also. Are the current 210's just as loud?
why didnt you get another unit if it was making funny noises... everlast has a much better warranty than millers
Butttt just how loud are those fans in real life? and did they update these machines so they don't constantly stay on or is that still the case? thanks!
Justin, its been a year. How is the Everlast 255 EXT, and 210 EXT welders holding up? Any issues?
Any how thanks for the videos you do , much appreciated
Cheers from Australia
Troy
Hi could u do a review on the Rtech 260 ext , looks very similar to the everlast ! Thanks
I haven't seen a USA seller yet .Maybe somebody else has a source?
500Hz, a B note, 4th octave, slightly sharp.
What about the advanced pulse ive seen on the everlast tigs??
About damn time someone made a video showing the max power on these green monsters!!! Thanks a million, everyone else just shows how low it will go. POWER!!! Its what drives the USA!
Can you adjust post flow on both? Yes. Just noticed
Any guidance would be appreciated
the tig torch's that you are using in this video, are those the torch's that came with the welders?
I wish Everlast would put out a smaller model like the 185 with all 4 AC waveforms!
Are both of those machines using a air cooled torch? When do I need a water cooler?
