Got me again, Bought a physical Copy of Metal Max based on your recomendations, seeing how good the combat looked was a big tipping point for me... I wanna get Baiten Kaitos but I am kinda hoping I can grab it for 40 CDN lol...
Just recently found this channel due to algorithm recommendations and i wanted to say that i appreciate you bringing attention to lesser known stuff. As an avid game enthusiast its nice to find another channel that can put games on my radar that even an enthusiast may not have heard of. Not just switch stuff but games in general
I'm so happy to hear you found the channel! I'm very honored to hear the channel is helping find new stuff! Thanks a ton for watching and have a great week!
I try really hard just to buy physical games. Im concerned about losing access to e-shop copies in the future. There are some great finds here, thank you!
i get it, but this is just the reality we're facing. these prices are pretty wild too. you can get dark arisen on sale for 5.00 bux digital. what i''d like more at this point is some kind of end user guarantee my digital stuff will always be accessible, and better preservation of old games digitally so theyre at least easy to access and play.
I did play Labyrinth of Zangetsu and its a beautiful callback to the classical wizardry games. It is difficult and a challenge for first-timers in the genre but also rewards patience. Be ready to take two steps forwards and one step back. You can customize your party based on race and starting class but be warned, this game has permadeath and your favorite character may not make it. Especially if you are playing on *Blighted Mode: If your party is wiped out, they are gone for good and must recreate a new batch of conscripts* But overall, I loved the challenge and exploration. There are some puzzles and gimmicks with each dungeon that you will have to solve to proceed. Pro-tip: Always have a thief in your party. Loot is guarded by dangerous traps and the thief is only one who can safely get treasures.
I e always just listened to your videos because i dont have time for jrpgs. I put the timer on and play in 15 minute blocks. There's three in the list I'm going to chew on. Thank you
Good video man. Definitely interested in a few of these now. I enjoy hearing about these kind of lesser known games. There are so many gems out there that get passed over just because they lack the visibility and are just as fun if not more some triple A titles. Thanks!
I'm glad to say that I have all of these on the list. You've definitely helped out when it comes to getting those hidden gems. The problem now is just having the time to play them all.
I bought demon gaze extra the other day after seeing one of your videos, I'm playing it right now and loving it, I haven't enjoyed a game like this since unchained blades
Thanks for the video! I didn't know about the sale, so I grabbed Demon Gaze Extra. I have a lot of the other games on the list, so I'm pretty covered I would say.
Sword of the Vagrant is a no brainer at that price!!! Croixler Sigma looks rad!!! Dead or School is a great price for sure! Dude, you know I love me some ARPGs! Definitely looking into these! Thanks for bringing the sales to the forefront! Congrats on the Sponsor! That game looks super rad!!! #HallowedBeThyGamers!
Great list. I have a few of them and added some to my list to consider picking up. Neptunia x SENRAN KAUGRA: Ninja Wars was mentioned. Was said that you didn't know of any other versions of the game, but I do have a limited edition of this, which came with a small wall scroll, OST, steel game case, art book, and a trading card. Unsure of it's value, but I'm not selling mine.
@HallowedBeThyGame I have Maglam Lord in my collection and you're literally the only other person I've EVER heard mention it before. Was starting to think I was the only person that had this game lol. Great video btw, I just subscribed so I can get more of your content
Ah, people really slept on God Wars. It's delisted on the Nintendo Switch online store supposedly now, but about a few months back before it's de-listing date, they were selling it digitally for 4 dollars.
Nice list with some uncommon ones! It's crazy that you keep punping these out, and there's some games that I've never heard about! I didn't add anything this time, but it shouldn't be long before you make me spend money again, lol! Great video and keep up the good work!
Funny story, when I first purchased my Switch I intended to go all digital, a few years passed and Nintendo announced the closure of the 3DS shop and since that day I've been trying to build my physical library back lol
So happy to see Sword of the Vagrant on the list. Loved the game so much that I bought it twice. Once on PS4 and Xbox One. And soon in the future, I will add the Switch version as well. Hopefully, we can see a physical version for the Xbox so that all 3 versions can be preserved.
I'm about 7 hours into Sea of Stars on Xbox Gamepass and I'm really struggling with it. The music and visuals are excellent, but the combat is kind of average. There is limited variety in combat options and battles drag on for ages. I also find the characters pretty uninteresting. Do these things get any better as you play? I'm struggling to find the willpower to play it for another 20ish hours, but will power through if it's worth the struggle.
I would advise Young Souls, a brawler/rpg hybrid. The game is like 13 or 14 bucks on switch in Europe, Amazon to be more precise, and like 15 bucks for the ps4 version.
Thanks, looks like I've found a fprpg for me :D haven't really explored any of them, because it often breaks my immersion a bit. Also, who's the character in the thumbnail? Haven't seen her in any of the shown games oO
Hey Ren! Infinity Knights Cross looks awesome! Kind of a stretch but would be cool to see you donate the $10K tier and add a custom character to the game haha
With Zangetsu i would agree that the low price point makes it worth getting just keep in mind that it's a game most faithful to rogue mechanics with perma death, traps with rolls that you can't come back from due to forced auto saves, stats that can decrease when you level up. Undernauts and Demon Gaze both fall into the experience inc look a-likes in that they functionally play the same with the unbalanced party setups, the increasing in bullshit mechanics that you need to keep a laundry list to keep track of and they both have story traps (and i honestly dont know why this is so popular in these games). Not to say they are completely bad as i played through demon gaze myself twice, but you play other games like it and you get that samey feel lol.
I bought 7 games last week (all digital cuz is cheaper where I live) one of those is persona 5 and I’m still playing Demon Gaze instead of that 😅… can’t recomend it enough, is kinda slow in some parts wen you have to wait for the story to progress but the dungeon experience part can get really addictive, piece of advice get the 2 and maybe even the 3 partners as soon as posible cuz is the thing that ends up opening the combat and strategy more… also buy the healing staff, is like a infinite potion you can use from your inventory after every fight or traps
Also: I end up making a file with all the echi games I have and half of those are from vita or vita inspired 😅… wen Sony leave seem that devs started to play with how much they could get away with and that’s really cool but you can make at least a top 5 of games from the vita on switch, maybe even a TH-cam short, best of luck’s
In my place, Labyrinth of Zangetsu's around 70 dollars... Yup, it is that expensive..... Makes me wanna cry..... 1 shop sold it for around 27-28 dollar but currently sold out... Sheeesh
While I’m happy enough to watch any of these vids from you cause some of your hidden gem stuff drew my attention to things I really enjoyed, I’ll say this category of “physical copy available” isn’t a particularly relevant distinction for me personally? I say this not to grouse but since you asked us “let me know if this content appeals to you”. Like while I actually DO prefer a physical copy for my Switch games, that preference isn’t so strong as to sway me into buying something I wouldn’t be considering already or decline something I was, so as an element of categorization it’s a bit… arbitrary, for me personally. Just my opinion though.
Sword of the Vagrant looks really appealing to me, though unfortunately for me it doesn't seem to be on Steam. I can see that the Switch is your channel's main focus, though if it's at all within your scope; I'd love a video on games you'd recommend that are also available on Steam~
Labyrinth of Zangetsu is already back up to about $28 on Amazon, sadly. I have some of these already, but haven’t put much time in them yet. Edit: just a day later, and it’s back to $15. Nice!
Honestly games I want on cheap. The yohane game from the idol series. Waiting to see if they'll bundle the entire thing on e shop Unicorn overlord but when it gets lower cost so a long time from now. D or school seems interesting so I may pick it up with the last 7 dollars I have on e shop sale when it comes back. I've been looking for a side scroller to play
Dont really see anything worthwhile in getting Mad Max Xeno Reborn,it was supposed to be the "superior version" (more actiony than turn based) but ended up feeling like a remake they gave up on half way and then released it as is, they even gutted the story from the original.
When does Dead or School get good? I got it based on one of your videos and it was straight up awful. Thank you for all of the videos, maybe it's just a 'me' problem
The only game i can't agree with is metal max xeno reborn, its a garbage version of the game they cut out story and rpg elements out of the game to make it more action based, this version as far as i know is what hurt the japanese sales and killed the sequal. great list otherwise and agree Metal Max needs more love, needs a switch collection or something
D or school for 25 physical? No way it's way cheaper on e shop when it's on sale for 5. Some games aren't really worth the physical cost. God eater three was not worth even the cheaper cost. It drained me so much and I wanted to like it I did but the story felt so bland and gameplay loop just a slog. Probably why I never got into monster hunter

I hear that. I got lucky and brought Duel Princess just before it got delisted on the eShop.
Now I can never delete my switch lol

It could work the other way too…probably easier to loose a hard copy then a downloaded version if you got a little brother like mine 😊
How would you lose access to something you have downloaded?
I did play Labyrinth of Zangetsu and its a beautiful callback to the classical wizardry games.

Yooo that sponsored JRPG got me the moment I saw the fishing.
Super hyped for it!

Yah! I'm so glad to hear!
Love some Jrpgs. Great video!
Seeing Dragons Dogma and Sword of the Vagrant advertised at $30+ dollars is mind blowing. Frequently $5 and $2 respectively digitally.
Oh man, all of these look fire!! I imagine it's only gonna get harder to find good physical deals on Switch games this late in its lifecycle.
So happy you enjoyed the list!
Loved this! Picking some of these up!
Thanks for the video! I didn't know about the sale, so I grabbed Demon Gaze Extra. I have a lot of the other games on the list, so I'm pretty covered I would say.

Your recent list videos have been amazing! I got Demon Gaze from Red Art’s sale when it began, and I can’t put it down! Phenomenal gameplay! 😈 👁️

Woh! I'm jealous, incredible game 🔥
Just make sure you change the title in a year when all of these are probably wildly unaffordable. Thanks for the vid as always!
Haha will do! Thanks for watching!
I still have my limited run copy of the Grandia HD Collection. Glad I snagged it up.

I'd love for Xbox fans to get a physical release of it. It's so good! It'd be so cool to have it on there preserved.
Lots of good options. first person dungeon crawler not my bag but great suggestions overall.
