      They're only blurry in this particular video, which leads me to believe that it was a problem with the projector they were using rather than a problem with his slides. Because, all of humanity are descendants of Noah's three sons and the spreading out of humanity after the tower of babel. As the acccount was passed down through the generations in different cultures as they spread out and fell away from the True God, various verisions arose. However, the existence of flood stories from the aboriginals of Canada to Australia, the peoples of Europe, Africa, and Asia bear witness to the fact that there was nearly a universal understanding among 'anicent' man that there was a flood.

    Was there a global flood, I honestly don't know
    But I respect and appreciate the tenaciousness of scholars for not giving up on this hypothesis.
    If shown to be a true event, the world will never be the same as it would be an amazing endorsement of the biblical account.
    My faith tells me to accept it but I do struggle with the idea that it was global.
    I often defend the flood account with atheists by pointing out that the black sea deluge flooded a land mass larger than the republic of Ireland

      The flood was real, as described in scripture.
      I know, today's atheists and modernists will bring up all sorts of excuses to convince the world of the opposite... but their claims are always shallow and rarely backed with actual data. Take Bill Nye for example; the guy is *not* a scientist, but an actor hired to _convince_ the masses of the truthfulness of evolution and climate change with his humour. When questioned about (ie.) the percentage ratio between natural and man-made effect on climate change, he never answers, preferring to change the subject instead. This is what we're up against: Propaganda against the truth, as a way to bury one's head in the sand.
      If there was no flood, scripture is false. If scripture is false, God doesn't exist. If God doesn't exist, *nobody will condemn their sinful way of life.*
      The problem for them is that, -- as seen in this video, and many other places -- in the end, science and archaeology truly gives reason to scriptural accounts. There aren't only physical evidences either, check this out: th-cam.com/video/BIThwuOHrJw/w-d-xo.html
      An event as major as the Great Flood would've been remembered by nearly all nations and peoples descending from the few who came from the Ark. *This is exactly what we have.* This, NO ATHEISTS ever focuses on... because sometimes, some evidences put together are so telling, they can't possibly be successfully contradicted. They prefer to leave them in the dark, hoping that nobody would find them.
      Trust God, friend.
      Water covered *everything.*

      There are continent-wide sedimentary rock layers that are uniform across 100s of miles and found on separate continents. Only way that can happen is through massive inundation of water. Remember: the Flood was not merely 40 days of rain. It was actually over a year long. The Bible speaks of the windows of heaven being opened and the fountains of the deep as well. If the sea floor rises and the continents sink, the oceans can completely inundate the land.

    • @MyImmaculateQueen
      @MyImmaculateQueen 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Qwerty Empirical knowledge is observable, verifiable knowledge. Evolution is a world view, not science and requires you to believe in a theory which is neither observable nor verifiable. It is a psychological tool used by communists and secular humanists to undermine people's belief in God. Darwinian evolution is the foundational lie of communism, responsible for the deaths of hundreds of millions. God created this world in 7 days, the timelines are fake. The science is not there. The great flood created most geological features they claim is erosion. Dinosaurs are fake. All fake bones encased in lead with fake claims of radioactivity. The only truth is in the Holy Bible.

      @Qwerty Every church that has accepted sola scriptura have become compromised, accepting abortion, contraception, homosexual clergy and the list goes on....
      The Catholic Church is the ONLY church established by Jesus Christ but sadly infiltrated to the hilt by the Freemasons.

    • @MillionthUsername
      @MillionthUsername 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Qwerty You seem to be falsely claiming that merely accepting the inerrant truth of the Scriptures is sola scriptura. No, sola scriptura is a Protestant doctrine that says the Scripture is the sole rule of faith. The Church has always taught that both Scripture and Tradition are sources of divine revelation. If you are trying to imply that "science" is a source of revelation, you are way way off.
      And I'm not sure what your point regarding empirical causality is since evolutionists effectively deny any kind of rational causality, and nothing they claim in terms of their beliefs is empirical. They employ sophistry and pretend that their materialistic/naturalistic philosophy is a given and somehow proves their case. The truth is they rarely even acknowledge that they are smuggling in a godless philosophy under the guise of science so that they can explain origins apart from a creator. They even say that Intelligent Design is somehow ruled out because it's "religion," a claim that makes no sense at all empirically.

    • @MillionthUsername
      @MillionthUsername 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Qwerty The question of origins is NOT non-religious. God has clearly revealed in Scripture that He created all things. The creation story is an essential part of Catholic teaching. It's foundational. In fact, if anyone else tells you they know how and when the universe or life or species came to be, they are teaching what amounts to a false religion. Science is not equipped to answer such questions because it is limited to studying the workings of the natural world through observation and experiment. It is limited to the scientific method, and the very reason all variations of evolutionism as a philosophy have been taught as "science" is because the people making these claims either did not know or did not care about overstepping their bounds and venturing into the realm of philosophy and religion.

      @Qwerty It was once in the Canon of Scripture and has a lengthier version of Noah and the flood and its destruction of cities, etc.. Also the author is taken to the 3rd heaven and sees that the earth is ball that goes around the sun and cannot imagine how people stick to the surface of a ball. He is even more to see planets, galaxies and deep space until all creation is just a small nut sized point of light. Heaven dwarfs any and everything and is beyond imagining. The earliest copy is from 400 bc in Ethiopia.

      @Qwerty not canonical but still scripture like many other writings.
      The canonical books refer to enoch in many ways and quote parts of the enoch scriptures.
      Same as the church investigates all the scriptures, you can do the same, nobody forbits you.

    • @crucemsanctamsubiitallelui3664
      @crucemsanctamsubiitallelui3664 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Qwerty Some were never scripture but still in the canon, but still quoted in what you call scripture.
      If Enoch is quoted in the scripture it is scripture and for example the ethiopian church still has enoch in the canon and that church is as apostolic as the roman, same as orthodox has more books in canon than the roman.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_canon
      Comparing the codex vaticanus with current day bibles is an example how things develop in what is canon and what isn't and how words are changed, even in what you call scripturefrom the catholic church. That's a fact. Specialy names that have an important meaning. Words like Elohim, Yaweh, Adonai, El, Yah etc etc etc
      As I said the canonical books, scripture and non scripture, quote from and refer to books, epistles, letters that are not in the canon.
      1 of the many examples colosians 4
      And when this letter has been read among you, have it read also in the church of the La-odice′ans; and see that you read also the letter from La-odice′a.
      You sound a bit extremist in your opinions.

    • @crucemsanctamsubiitallelui3664
      @crucemsanctamsubiitallelui3664 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Qwerty The armenian church, coptic and many other churches are in communion with the roman, if the apostles went to some place it was to the armenians. Let it be the armenians that have more books in canon than the roman.
      Not that difficult is it!
      And as I said, nobody forbids you to read other books letters etc etc.
      There are many reasons why some are and others are not in canon, some are lost, others contradict, some found many years later hidden in monasteries and tombs etc etc.
      But if you want to know why Barnabas is not in the canon, you will have to read it. The church did the same thing, simple!
      Many books, letters etc are not lost, the church has them. Because some contradict does not mean all is invented, gnostic based, wrong or whatever.
      My opinion is, after 2000 years you will not know better as the early christians or the apostles.
      As Paul himself says, For I am the least of all the apostles--I do not even deserve to be called an apostle!

    • @crucemsanctamsubiitallelui3664
      @crucemsanctamsubiitallelui3664 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Qwerty Well I'm saying. If all apostolic churches say the same, it is probably correct.
      As far as I can see, none of the apostolic churches have gnostic based writings in the canon.
      And enoch is a book that clearly inspired many and quoted many times as you can read yourself in the catholic bible.
      Why exactly it''s not in the canon? I don't know. But it would be nice if the church explained the book to avoid all kind of wild alien stories emerging about Enoch.

      It's traditionally believed that Moses wrote Genesis and that the information was handed down to him from father to son going back to Noah and ultimately to Adam in the garden. But Moses was also in contact with God and his writings were affirmed by Jesus (who was God incarnate) so it seems pretty clear that they were of divine inspiration if not origin.

      It simple. The Earth is flat. The land was one piece. The water was the Earth splitting continents, opening and gushing water from the ground. The firmament above is filled with water so it also was unleash. If you read the creation in Genesis, you would know how we came to be. But tradition has it the Earth will be destroyed by fire the next time. This time however there won't be time to repent. The flood was a delayed death where people had a chance to repent when they start to drown. But fire is instant and there is no time to feel remorse for our sins.

      You obviously misunderstand his point about eyewitness testimony. Also, in regards to Moses' Historicity, we have the testimony of God's infallible and inerrant Scriptures and the testimony of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Scholars use to claim Pontius Pilate wasn't real as well as many other people mentioned(they were proven wrong and will be time and time again) in the Bible because they are materialists and unjustly presuppose that the Bible is unreliable because it mentions the supernatural and they don't believe in the supernatural. Archaeology always supports biblical claims, science as well. Evidence doesn't speak for itself but rather is filtered through a person's worldview, this is why Atheists make claims about the Bible's unreliability using so-called evidence when the evidence doesn't even support their claims or dismiss evidence supporting the Bible due to their unjust unbelief in the supernatural. I'll explain what he meant about eyewitness testimony if you like.
