A buddy on mine had a makeshift dining table that he encouraged people to write or draw on, back in the day. After beating ME3, I drew Marauder Shields with the words "Never Forget". I wonder if he still has that table... Doubt it.
The most tragic part of the story is that he starts the fight as Marauder Shields but finished the fight as Marauder Health signifying his the character arc he went through, he died without his identity and that’s why we must remember him for it

I remember playing ME3 on insane back on ps3 I went through the game like a cake walk, until I met this final boss, he killed me over a dozen times, I will always remember Marauder Shields as the last boss of ME3 insane difficulty.

Believe it or not, I managed to die from him when I first encountered him. I played on maximum difficulty, and it turns out there that it is impossible to kill him without reloading, and if you hesitates for a second, he will definitely kill you. so I basically saw the real ending of Mass Effect 3
@@VELVETPERSON Lmao I finished the game like 4 days ago on Insanity and I fired exactly 50 shots and counted my shots just to see for myself. You don't need to reload, at all. Stop lying. Edit: Hell, in the normal game it reloads automatically when you run out of ammo so it's even more obvious you're lying. Even if you didn't have unlimited ammo at the end your 'hesitation' wouldn't matter because the game reloads automatically for you when you run out of ammo. So again, get better at lying.
@@Skylingale maybe this is due to the fact that in the original version itself, even before the extended ending, there was a reload, but then it was removed with patches. I will even try to find a video on TH-cam, and if I don’t find it, I will specially install the very first version of ME3 and record the video to confirm my words.

I am one of the few, who played it when Extended Cut was already the default, and before reading forums and comments where people would’ve told me I should hate it. So I loved the ending as well.
The extended ending doesn’t fix the core problems with the ending (loss of narrative cohesion, shifting the the central conflict at the last minute, shifting the core themes at the last minute, protagonist agency, arguably shifting the protagonist at the last minute, shifting the genre at the last minute), so I’m pretty sure you’d have like the original ending too. Regardless, I’m glad you had a good time. People should enjoy the games they play. And that’s not even going into the nitpicking. And Mass Effect asks for nit picky criticism because it designated itself as nit picky sci-fi with every aspect from its visual design to the fact that you had codexes on the deck layouts of the various ships. If it wanted to be Doctor Who wave a magic do-dad at it sci-fi it wouldn’t have told us how guns used Eezo, the social structure of Salarians, the various engine kits of starships, or how Asari reproduction works. Sure, there’s a space magic element, but it’s basically the Eru Illuvitar of the ME universe. It makes all the cool fun stuff possible, but it’s not the main character. Eru Illuvitar didn’t show up in Mount Doom at the end of Return of the King to take the ring from Frodo and demand that he choose to jump into one of three pools of lava, “The pit on the left will let you control all orcs, elves, and dwarves. The pit on the right will destroy all orcs, elves, and dwarves. The pit in the center will make everyone part orc. If you don’t jump I’ll give the ring to Sauron.” That didn’t happen because it’s fucking stupid, but that’s what we got in Mass Effect. Sorry. I really am glad that you had a good time. Mass Effect 3 is a really good game. I still replay the trilogy every year.

Not because we enjoyed giving the devs and moderators hell, it was simply that they screwed up hard and we wanted them to know. After watching that presidents Mass Effect character tier list video, I have been racking my brain trying to remember what this character was. I’m only on my second play through of the trilogy and I’m working my way through the third game now, so I was certain I missed something in all the chaos that was the final mission. This is what they were talking about?! That’s so ridiculously stupid! I don’t know whether to be amused because this reveal was so anticlimactic or angry that it’s just more rage posting about how much people hate the third game’s ending. well in LE, at least (probably in original too) you are locked out of the "Sheppard lives" ending, granted its HARD in LE i was trying pretty hard my last run, and was just over 400 points short
@@TheMhalpern Its not that hard you just have to make sure you do everything first, and make sure you have enough Paragon/Renegade to save both the Geth and Quarians, what makes it difficult is you have to do everything right to maximise your points in the previous games, saving the Rachni Queen and Kirrahe's Squad in ME1, finish ME2 with all upgrades and Crew Alive etc, if you go into 3 with an optimal save file and make sure you do all the optional missions (evesdropping missions, scan all planets, finish all DLC etc, theres no reason your assets shouldn't be high enough).
Soo kinda unrelated, but I started playing mass effect 3 LE and I noticed that you can't no longer do melee combos? Maybe I'm having a fever dream but I remember having a different animation on 360 when you press the melee button 3 times🤔.

my first run he killed me a few times, then i learned at least on normal you've got unlimited ammo, so i constantly shoot where he pops up

To be fair during my insanity runs he usually manages to delay me by killing me once or twice.

@@TheMhalpern Its not that hard you just have to make sure you do everything first, and make sure you have enough Paragon/Renegade to save both the Geth and Quarians, what makes it difficult is you have to do everything right to maximise your points in the previous games, saving the Rachni Queen and Kirrahe's Squad in ME1, finish ME2 with all upgrades and Crew Alive etc, if you go into 3 with an optimal save file and make sure you do all the optional missions (evesdropping missions, scan all planets, finish all DLC etc, theres no reason your assets shouldn't be high enough).
Soo kinda unrelated, but I started playing mass effect 3 LE and I noticed that you can't no longer do melee combos? Maybe I'm having a fever dream but I remember having a different animation on 360 when you press the melee button 3 times🤔.
