I think we as Christians should definitely do more research, but it is shocking to find out at hindsight that Phil had a daughter.

@@jimmyroberts197 He cheated before he was a Christian, Mrs. Kay knew what he had been doing and forgave him when he asked for forgiveness in the 70s. And guess what? Because he's been open and honest about his past life (before he was a Christian), there is no kind of scandal or hatred about what happened. He and Mrs. Kay were actually expecting someone to come back from his past, and they were both happy when they discovered he had a daughter. They aren't saying it's right to do what he did, but they're focusing on the good that came out of that evil.

@@jimmyroberts197 I'm sorry about my apparent poor wording, but that's not the point. His wife forgave him, his family forgave him, because he confessed everything. He asked for forgiveness, and his family loved him enough to do so. They helped him to overcome his sins, and he settled down his rowdy living.

They call him a vile racist for something he said that they took out of context. They said something along the lines of "He said when he was young black people were happy in the South, so
he's obviously racist.", but they fail to mention that he grew up in a community of mostly African Americans, where everyone helped their neighbors. He probably never even thought about there being different races until he was older.

I love this show!
This testimony touches me. I found my biological family through DNA. My biological father has since gone to be with the Lord; He rededicated his life to Christ just before his death. I found out through his family that most all the grandparents and the children, my biological aunts and most family members, follow the Lord. Last year I got to meet some cousins, and an aunt for the very first time at 51. I can not remember a time in my life, that I didn’t understand there is a God. I like how Phillis stated it. That the grace of the Lord’s salvation extended to her. I remember getting on the church bus, that was going through my neighbor hood, and I would be the only one going to church in my family starting at 6 yrs old to present. I remember going to a church barefoot when I was 6 or 7 yrs old on a Sunday morning, just cuz I felt something good was happening in the house of the Lord. Thanks to Jesus for everything!!!! I am more aware now of the grace and mercy our Father was extending to me in those early years.

Exactly my story, but 74 years later! Just met my biological father's family. All because of my son's DNA test. And like you, wonderful acceptance.

Obviously it would but she stuck with her man through thick and thin. She is a good woman and because of her strength I believe it gave him strength. They do have pretty good morals. May God keep them rightly guided.

@@thehighhopes5336 We're not, we're congratulating him because back in the seventies he admitted he was wrong, asked his wife for forgiveness (she did, indeed, forgive him), and allowed his family and friends to help him become a better man. In case you didn't know, his cheating was never a secret. He's openly talked about the evil he'd done for years, and about how the grace of God saved him from his sins. "I spent my early adulthood getting high, getting drunk, and getting laid, in that order... I didn't realize what a _trap_ it was until I escaped from that way of life."
The high Hope's, Phil is just another human who has made mistakes and I'll be the first one to admit I'm the biggest sinner I know. We ALL have sinned and that's why we need Jesus Christ to cleanse us of our wickedness. Phil is a changed man through Christ and let's celebrate that instead of attacking him for his past. Christ forgave him and that's the most important thing. Jesus loves the sinner, but not the sin and when we receive Him as our personal Lord and Savior we're washed from our sins by His blood and made new in Him.

I'm 100% certain they have compensated her and her family to the fullest with money from the show and the business!! What a great story. Just imagine meeting your daughter after 45 years with her being a christian in good health and spirits. The first hug between her and Phil, there might not have been a dry eye in the room! So awesome
100% certain? She is on the record seeking no compensation. What difference does it make and why mention it. Whether it happened or not. If she wanted to cash in she would have done it at the height of the show.

I think it's awesome. I personally would like to show Phyllis (correct me if I spelled her name wrong) my welcoming of her being part of the Robertson clan as a fan, even though we didn't get to see her on the show.

As to what was said about her "seeing" Duck Dynasty, appearance's are deceiving. As Christians we are called to look as God does. The Bible says "man looks on the outward but God looks on the heart".
May have been, there had to be that transformation of rebirth before this daughter was revealed. That both, toward her and her looking toward the family, there could have been the looking with the eyes of the spirit and not the flesh.
I am curious to see what Phil having a daughter will be like. And for the guys to have a sister. Gotta be surreal.

Honor your mother and your father, irregardless. That's what this video shows. Look at these men not judging their father, but standing beside him understanding that love FORGIVES, FORGETS, and FORGES ON!
This is an amazing story, and I, like Phyllis, found out about my biological dads family, three years ago. He had passed but I was accepted, by my new sisters, that I had never had before 🙏🏼😁🙏🏼😁

I certainly hope Ms Kay could forgiveness. The oldest son was born as they say on the wrong side of the sheets. The family doesn't care about it and still love one of others.

There were a few instances in which it's entirely possible due to my indiscretions.
Poor Mrs. Kay. And poor Phyllis. Both women suffered so much hurt because of the actions of one man. Thankfully, Phil is now a forgiven man but it’s hard to erase all the years of hurt to Mrs. Kay and Phyllis.
My mom didn't even know she had me until I was 30.

Having an affair is a sin. Having a daughter out of that affair is a sin. None of this is a Crime. The whole story boils down to this; Out of sin forgiven they found redemption. No changing of the Bible. Because of what Jesus did for us on the Cross they have been redeemed. How many Sons and Daughters are out there that have not found their Father? Jesus is your Father. No DNA needed!
