Editing the source media and TRANSFORMING it into something different. Designing the videos, rendering them. It all takes time. It all adds up to its own UNIQUE product!
I'm not sure I've ever experienced this with a singer before but... Strangely, your voice works remarkably well with Nightcore edits. There's a notable pleasantness to it when played back at faster speeds with a higher pitch and added reverb. Obviously no artist wants to be told they sound better edited than they do raw and that's not what I'm trying to say. I'm just noting that, when Nightcored, your voice just... works.
Can we just admire the fact that RIELL goes through and hearts everybody's comment? FANTASTIC song btw and I love how you also support the nightcores. My favorite song is Odds Are 😊
Nightcore has been my guilty pleasure for around 10 years now, the way it sped it up just enough to make the vocals a little high for some reason gave me comfort. I think it’s because as a kid it reminded me of anime character voices, I watched anime with my grandma all the time and it brought that feeling I got during those moments, my grandma and I would find different songs and show each other and find characters the songs made us think about. Sadly I’m unable to do anything of the sort with her anymore and it’s been that was since 2014 so I cling onto nightcore tightly, even with my siblings making fun of me for it I couldn’t imagine letting it go at all. She’s still here physically but not mentally so it’s pretty much all I have of her now, I kept hearing your voice in so much nightcore and I loved the music so much I decided I was going to find the artist and listen to the original songs too, nightcore is for specific moments I need comforting and the original I play in my day to day life. When I noticed you supporting nightcore versions of your music is made me so so happy, I know if my grandma was mentally capable of talking about it and understanding she would have been so happy to see an artist supporting it.❤
I love all things Riell, for real (phun), and as such it's a fun caricature. What makes your music and performances really special is the emotion and (freakish!) intensity that you put your into your songs (voice, composition, lyrics) and I am not getting that at Alvin speed.
