  • Step into the tranquility of nature's embrace as we embark on a soul-soothing fly fishing journey along the picturesque waters of Wilson's Creek. Join us in this video as we reflect on a slower-paced day, where the catch might have been modest, but the experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
🌊 A Peaceful Adventure: Sometimes, the best days on the water aren't about the quantity of fish caught, but the quality of moments shared. Despite the slow action, we found ourselves immersed in the soothing rhythm of casting lines and listening to the gentle flow of the creek.
🎣 Crafting Our Skills: While the fish might have eluded us this time, we didn't leave the creek empty-handed. Every cast, every flicker of the line, every graceful movement of the fly rod brought us closer to honing our craft. Fishing isn't just about the catch; it's about the continuous journey of improvement and connection with nature.
As the great Zane Grey said:
" If I fished only to capture fish, my fishing trips would have ended long ago"
A good reminder when the fish aren't biting, stop and look around and think about the true reason as to why you are out there.
Join us as we relive this serene day on the water, where the camaraderie of fellow anglers, the peaceful ambiance, and the timeless art of fly fishing merged into an unforgettable experience.

Even a bad day of fishing is a good day on the water. Throw a couple mends into your drift there and you’ll bag ‘em next time!

Oct-June is delayed harvest and it’s great fishing for stockers. It does hold a few big wild fish but cold winter months are the best for them and stockers. Summer months it’s best to hit the feeder creeks up high. Always fish up stream even with the stockers they are spooky.

Can’t beat a day fly fishing the mountains of NC. Ashe county and Jackson county got a lot of nice water. Had good luck on big horse in Ashe this summer. It has delayed harvest, hatchery supported and wild trout sections on it. Tight lines

Those are stocked waters my dude. You’ll have to hike a little bit if you want to catch trout in the summer

I enjoyed this video. It’s nice to see that not every outing is successful. After seeing you catch the sunfish I was thinking maybe the water temperature was too warm for trout. You may have needed to find colder water.

U saw on the way out why I don't fish that area. I would much rather fish some of the less popular areas

Too much false casting for sure. Hire a guide a few times
