This is why I love soaps. Watching actors play a character for so long with other people who have been in their roles for decades is amazing. There is no other genre on TV that does that except for maybe Greys but it’s different. I will watch soaps as long as they are on the air.
I think he realized how much pain she was in. All through the years she put Lucky up on a pedestal. Lucky was her heart for so long. Lucky once said that Jason was her drug of choice. I don't agree. I think it was him. Laura got beat down for a while too. She ended up in Stefan's arms. I think the whole affair with Nikolas happened because in the beginning Elizabeth felt sorry for him, then she struggled in believing she and Lucky could make it after all that happened between them.
This is true love. Elizabeth cheated on him with 2 paternity scandals within 4 years. Yet, he’s being so kind to her here, because her being alive is more important to him.
Elizabeth cheated once Lucky cheated first with Maxie and she ended it with him saying their marriage was over after seeing them litterly in the act then she slept with Jason she never cheated on him with Jason at all I'm so sick of seeing people saying otherwise pay attention to the scenes.

Liz is one of the strongest characters on show. This shows that even the strongest of characters are not always so strong and do have weaknesses and are human and flaws and make mistakes. Shows how real her character is.

Lizard intentionally climbed many flights of stairs in a total blackout to have sexual intercourse with Jason, then Lizard intentionally had sexual intercourse with her husband’s brother. No, what I found reckless was her saying yes to Lucky’s proposal in the first place. The writers set her up to « cheat ». She wasn’t in love with Lucky in the first place. She should have just been with Nik or anyone else but Lucky. That’s what I hate about Liz at times. She doesn’t follow her heart and she lies to escape her own truth.
I put the blame solely on the head writer. He set out to make the show into some kind of alpha-male fantasy, but he was patient about it. He slowly destroyed characters like Zander, Laura, Scott, all of the Quartermaines (except for Jason and Princess Emily of course), Liz and many others. He even tried to write her off the show, believing he successfully turned the audience against her, not knowing how big her fan base actually is. And I'm not saying this as a Liz fan, but I am impressed with Rebecca Herbst.
They did this to destroy the character so nobody would care when they fired RH. They didn’t realize how badly that would backfire. Was she wrong? Yes. But Lucky didn’t go through this kind of meltdown when he cheated with Sarah and then strong armed and guilted Liz into believing he couldn’t stay sober without her Jake, leaving Liz to go back to his cheating ass after sleeping with Maxie for months. Lucky was a failure from the moment he came back after “dying “ in the fire. I really don’t feel too bad for Lucky here - he kind of deserved it.

These scenes were so good, and at that time, I was still waiting for Liz and lucky to get back together because I know that they could get through this pregnancy and betrayal. Especially when Aiden was found out to be Luckys, I wanted them to get back together until lucky basically blamed Elizabeth for all the problems that were going on and for the toxicity in their relationship. I wish Liz and lucky didn’t get destroyed to the point that they can probably never get back together again, because these scenes like I said were so good and I wish that Liz and lucky could have found a way back to each other and lucky going on the rebound and marrying Siahbhan. Then, Elizabeth faking the breakdown was low; very low
