Looks like you got Rush Hour 2 scenes in your thumbnail! Not sure if that's a mistake or not. I thought it was a Rush Hour 2 reaction before clicking on it.
Jackie Chan is known for doing his own stunts. In one of his earlier films he jumped onto a boat and broke his ankle. He had a cast on that foot and he painted it like a tennis shoe and just continued with the film. I am surprised that you have never heard of him. He is Legendary
Jackie Chan isnt just a guy who does his own stunts, he also founded, ran and developed his own stunt team to perform these crazy stunts. He is also both a writer and director of several of his films.
You deffo need to see Rush Hour 2 & 3 as well. Part 2 is this time in Hong Kong, very funny. Jackie Chan didn’t hit big time in US until mid nineties, most probably one of the best martial artists ever. Does all his own stunts, everything you see him do, he does it himself. Usually choreographs all the fight scenes too. Has made over 140 films, most of them chinese to be fair. He’s directs, writes, sings, you name it he’s done it all in the film industry, a legend. Definitely check out a few of his other movies. Has a few classic kung fu movies too from late 70’s/early 80’s for me most notably Snake In The Eagle’s Shadow.
ROFL.. weird timing! This morning I had breakfast at a cafe that used to have half of it's chairs mismatched at one point because Jackie Chan shot a scene there and broke half of them during the shoot. I have yet to see him in a movie I didn't enjoy. You should definitely check out more of his films.
I used to own that phone 21:53 and after it rings, that double beep right afterwards indicates that it's not plugged into the wall phone line. The Jackie Chan Stunt Team, also known as Jackie Chan's Stuntmen Association, is a group of stuntmen and martial artists who work alongside Jackie Chan. Founded in the 1970s, it originally included Hong Kong action stuntmen and martial artists, before expanding to include international talent over the next several decades.
Jackie Chan is a great performer. There are plenty of domestic and foreign films with him in them. His primary martial art is a performance kung fu, but he is skilled and an expert in many forms. He always does his own stunts insofar as insurance on a production lets him, and many have been dangerous. Again he’s just great.
Though formalized in France, [ hence the name "parkour" ] it might well be said that Jackie Chan invented parkour as kids around the world would imitate his stunts. And like Jackie Chan, many wound up in the hospital. As indeed, JC has spent a Lot of time in the hospital as he does All of his own stunts. And has broken just about every bone in his body. So yes! You should definitely do more JC movies as you will be Amazed!
Jackie does all his own stunts when he was a young star in china he used no nets no wires and would be scaling h sky scrapers and everything he is crazy and he’s a true martial artist also extremely successful classic Chinese musician
Chris Tucker was close friends with Michael Jackson and would love to imitate Jackson's dancing especially in front of him cuz Jackson always got a kick out of it
Jackie Chan is an absolute legend in Chinese cinema. His use of crazy stunts, comedic improvisation, martial arts and acrobatics in most of his movies is next level. This is a dude who, in a couple of movies, used a two-door fridge to help him defeat a roomful of baddies. .... And pretty much ALL of his movies have bloopers as part of the end credits. Oh, yes, and he was also 'Monkey' in Kung Fu Panda'. :)
And He's not only very Parcour, the French Guys who "invented" Parcour and made it famous in the western world did it because of Jackie Chans Movies He is THE Goat of Acrobatics in Movies and Parcour is just a part of that ;)
There’s a lot of controversy as the Chinese government promised to let Hong Kong have an independent government. 20 years later they have installed their own government and cracked down on the freedom of the citizens. Look into Jimmy Lai.
This is a classic comedy trilogy. Make sure you watch the bloopers at the end of all of them. The thing about Jack is he does all his own stunts. No ropes no wires no stunt doubles. He’s very good at using things around him in a fight.
Jackie Chan is the godfather of Parkour. He does his own stunts and has broken a lot of bones doing it. The difference between Hong Kong and LA is that a good (more reserved Asian) police officer like Lee would rather arrest a criminal rather than risk blowing one up and causing collateral damage like Carter. This was filmed in the late 90's and the LAPD were hated because of their brutality in the early 90s with Rodney King. The FBI didn't fire their guns because they were too prideful and actually didn't care about the situation enough to risk getting shot at in return.
3 parts of this movie that really make me crack up laughing are: 1. When Carter starts dancing like Michael Jackson in the middle of the street after blowing the car up 2. When Lee and Carter are bonding and practicing disarming techniques while Edwin Starr's song "War" plays in the background 3. When Carter says "I know that ain't the bomb. Get that bomb away from me." Towards the end
And trust me, the blooper reels for the remaining two movies are just as funny when it comes to the slip-ups with the dialogue. Also, RIP to Elizabeth Peña and Tom Wilkinson
u should see Jackie Chan in Jackie Chan: Who Am I? he not only starred in it, but he did his own stunts, directed it, and sang in the end credits of the movie.
Jackie Chan actually got his start as a stuntman, mainly for Jet Li. His style of acting is greatly comedic combat. I know your channel is "US" movies, but anything you can watch with him would be great. Maybe check out Shanghai Noon and the sequel if you want US movies with him. The Medallion is also fun.
Chan is a child actor, grew up making movies etc. He is also in CANNONBALL RUN with Burt Reynolds and I believe Dom De Louise… plus many other great actors… popular in the old classic Hollowed era. If you love movies… please do a one day a week Old Classic Hollywood movie night with fantastic movies (Nothing else compares)📽️📸🎥🍿
If you are going to watch a buddy cop film, there is only one way to go: Running Scared (1986). No spoilers but cast is great, story is great, soundtrack is great.
Jackie Chan will go down as the greatest stunt-man in cinema. The stuff he's survived will chill you to the bone (he's broken pretty nuch every bone and even punctured his 💀). Always watch the credits for the outtakes. His career goes all the way back to Enter The Dragon (Bruce snaps his neck 😉), but I think you would enjoy his 90's work the most. Rumble in the Bronx, Who Am I, Operation Condor, and Mr Nice Guy are all great picks from his 'fighting around the world period' (Jackie visits exotic locals to film in like Australia, Africa, etc). Also great is Jackie's Police Story Saga. 1 & 2 are good, but 3 (Supercop) and 4 (First Strike) are amazing.
Just so you know, Jackie Chan does all his stunts by himself (almost.) He's broken almost every limb you can think of and acted in around 100 movies since the 70s, I love the old movie more (even though they are in Chinese, but some of them are dubbed to English), don't get me wrong, his current movies are amazing too, just not as good, but it's only my opinion.) In short, search for Jackie Chan movies, if you liked this one, you'll love the many, many others.
you kept saying he is good at parkour but he is actually the unofficial creator of parkour a lot of it came from people copying him in his older movies
Thanks. You beat me to it. I've seen this actor show up on several movies, but I just can't unsee him in Shawshank Redemption. So little screen time but a big impression.
Oh you're in for a treat if you watch this trilogy. Jackie Chan is a phenomenal stunt coordinator. He has always done all of his own stunts from when he first hit the scene back in the seventies. Can you get a chance to see some of his earlier films some of his more modern American films, you will love them. A more recent film that he did that is amazing is the Foreigner. Chris Tucker is absolutely hilarious, you will enjoy any and all of his films as well
The Guy at start (blond Guy) that you thought you seen. Is the Guy from shawshank Redemption. The ”Sisters”. Bluntly Said…The Guy that ”kvack” , Tim Robins. And ended up in a wheelshair 👩🦽. 😊 Love from Sweden 🇸🇪
Jackie famously does his own stunts, doesn't do wires or anything like that, has to insure his stunt men because Hollywood won't, and he uses everything and anything to his advantage as you will have noticed. And he's funny too. He's the best.
Tom is a toddler compared to Jackie...keep in mind that when Jackie originally was performing stunts, it was in Hong Kong with minimal if any safety equipment, no cgi, with bed matresses as pads and thin piano wire if it was used at all. There were no unions or "safety captains" and NO insurance company would cover him or his team. They were black listed and all medical bills and "compensation" were paid out of pocket by Jackie himself which was novel because before the JC stunt team, stunt performers were thought of as expendable and left to care for themselves if they could. Previously.. no one gave a crap about them. Jackie and these guys were truly nuts and often lived each day as if it were their last thinking "I might die today"...which he nearly did and more than once.
Oh please don't compare Jackie with tom cruise. Jackie has been doing the craziest stunt you can only imagine since 70's, falling from trees and clock tower, broke many of his bones and fractured his skull, clinging onto a helicopter without safety measurement (check police story 3 aka supercop), jump between buildings and buses etc. plus acting, directing, writing, singing, doing martial arts and being the stunt coordinator for many of his movies, so don't compare them. Tom is just the beginner when it comes with Jackie
Jacki does all his own stunts & if you ever watch his foreign films you'll see some close calls & injuries. Ong Bak is a great marital arts film as well, staring Tony Jaa. Another great martial artist is Jet Li & he has done some American movies you can watch on the channel.
Near the beginning watching this Reaction, I've watched the Movie a few times, regarding "Jackie Chan" I suggest "Rumble In The Bronx", THAT MAN CAN MOVE!
As many have probably already said. Jackie Chan does his own stunts. You really need to delve into Jackie Chan movies Rumble in the Bronx for instance, not the best movie in the world, but it's Jackie Chan at his finest.
Thank you for all the support. Make sure you check out my 2nd channel www.youtube.com/@awesomeshows
Have to watch Sons of Anarchy
Looks like you got Rush Hour 2 scenes in your thumbnail! Not sure if that's a mistake or not. I thought it was a Rush Hour 2 reaction before clicking on it.
I hope you consider watching “Chernobyl “ it’s only 5 episodes but an outstanding series
Rush hour 2 is even better
Jackie Chan is known for doing his own stunts. In one of his earlier films he jumped onto a boat and broke his ankle. He had a cast on that foot and he painted it like a tennis shoe and just continued with the film. I am surprised that you have never heard of him. He is Legendary
Rumble in the Bronx if I'm not mistaken.
Jackie Chan is a legend.
He does all of his own stunts.
All three of the Rush Hour movies are great.
Jackie does ALL of his own stunts! He is a LEGEND!!
You DEFINITELY need to watch more Jackie Chan movies. I think you would thoroughly enjoy his humor and his fight scenes.
I recommend Around the World in 80 Days! xD
Legend of Drunken Master is my favorite.
"he's very parkour" I think Jackie was doing this before parkour was invented.
Jacky was doing his stunts since the 70s. He's been doing it way long before the term Parkour became a thing
Jackie Chan isnt just a guy who does his own stunts, he also founded, ran and developed his own stunt team to perform these crazy stunts. He is also both a writer and director of several of his films.
Jackie is a legend, does all his own stunts, was once a student of Bruce Lee.
You deffo need to see Rush Hour 2 & 3 as well. Part 2 is this time in Hong Kong, very funny.

The foreigner, rumble in the Bronx, supercop, Shanghai noon, and drunken master are some of his best works.
Don’t forget Jackie Chan’s first American film: Cannonball Run. He didn’t even speak English yet.
would love to see you react to some early movies of Jackies like Drunken Master its a lovable classic imo (:
Rumble in the bronx
Whos with me????
Love Rumble in the Bronxs
@@belindalopes6774 as do i
But not as much as i love you😁

Jackie is a true legend of cinema, a master. Enjoy the ride. Check him out with Owen Wilson in Shanghai Noon and the sequel

That a staple of Jackie Chan movies bloopers and doing all his stunts.

Oh, yes, and he was also 'Monkey' in Kung Fu Panda'. :)
Through the course of his career, Jackie Chan has broken most of his bones, some more than once. He is a master of several martial arts.
Jackie also always shows the bloopers!
One of my favorites!!

Jackie Chan does ALL of his own stunts
Canonball run was not jackie's 1st movie. His 1st on screen role was in 1962 when he was just 8 years old. It was called Big and Little Wong Tin Bar.
You should definitely check out the rest of the rush hour movies they are hilarious 😂
"The Asian gentleman"? Jackie Chan IS "the main actor." Chris Tucker is the sidekick.
You need to watch “Die Hard with a vengeance” (die hard 3) if you like a cop/partner/buddy movie. It’s one of my favorites!
The bloopers in the movies are one of my favorite parts 😂❤
Jackie is a legend, does all his own stunts to this day. Has broken numerous bones including has a hole in his skull.
16:38 I go to Chinatown in Philly all the time. Yes, they have really good food, especially soup dumplings.
Police Story* and Rumble in the Bronx are 2 other Jackie Chan movies you should watch.
*Police Story (1985) not Police Story (2013).
Great reaction James to a very funny Rush Hour movie
"it looked like the Asian guy was doing his own stunts..." my soul hurts. You need to watch more Jackie Chan movie pronto, start with his older stuff.
Jackie Chan is famous for always doing his own stunts to the point where now almost no movie studios will insure him
Need to watch the next one it's great too
British ruled HK until 1997, which is when this came out
Totally didn't know that

Jacky do all his stunts.. Except the time when he was injured. He doesn't do parkour he's Jacky Chan. He's been doing it since the 70s.

You’d be amazed if you looked up a Jackie Chan fight compilation! It’s insane..the stunts are crazy dangerous! He’s kinda of super human;)
Eel is delicious. It's just fish. It's a common protein in sushi and is also a delicacy in some European counties.
Did you notice the FBI agent was the lead "sister" from the Shawshank Redemption
