- A woman decided to go against the warning of Houston Firefighters and take her chances at driving through flood waters covering a road in Kingwood on Saturday.

The ones who need to heed advice will not watch while those of us who follow advice don't need to watch. Stupid women! When Harvey came to Tx, it stayed in place pouring buckets for a week...we didn't think we would make it. A young woman didn't pay attention and got stuck and started to bang on her car windows with a flashlight but it is impossible to breach the vacuum and she ended up drowning in her car. She was 19.
She should be arrested for ignoring the warnings and blocking access

I was a fire fighter years ago. People are really stupid sometimes. "I can handle it" are many people's famous last words. Glad there's no alligators there. I've been a nurse now for many more years and the number of people returning because they didn't take their medications, or some other behavior that has bitten them before...and they do it again. Expecting a rescue every time until rescue is no longer possible. and among people who do these stupid things, she is pretty much acting the standard. Entitled. Fires have a similar problem. People refusing to leave, then blocking the roads when they FINALLY "get it" they're going to die if they don't leave and a swarm of them are trying to leave on the only road in or out and fire departments can't get past them....or expect the fire department to rescue them when it's too late and the house is surrounded by heavy flames wind. We get firenadoes sometimes. No firefighter is expected to magically get through them and save someone who trapped themselves like that.

she is from Afghanistan so is my wife. they have the worst attitude and are extremely rude towards criticism. during the 7 years of my miserable marriage she has not once apologized for her mistakes and always blames others including myself for her failures.

So aggravating. I worked EMS for 10yr and then 5yr of “on call” search and rescue for big emergencies like this. People who can’t be bothered to listen are infuriating. I’m glad he laid into her. What a moron. She could have got her azz out and walked. It’s not deep. Why did she need “rescue”?
