    There's a story behind everything...
(long caption warning but it's rested on my ❤)
I had shot half the season of #OdysseyWithYendi #UntoldJourneys Season 2 and had to pause....
The day I shot this sit down with Usain Bolt, was the first I was getting back to work after a serious health scare. What you see here is pure gratitude to have life and purpose.
I was diagnosed with a heart condition a year ago and it's changed a lot for me. Only last month, I faced something that complicated that condition and brought my own mortality to the fore.
It was a lot to digest.
I was unwell for weeks, but did everything in my power to enable my body to fight. I'm still experiencing quite a lot of discomfort related to the condition, and pains throughout my body (and yes shifting a lot in my seat to alleviate same) but pushing forward is what we do, the best way we can.
I have always had a passion for what I do, and the fragility of life has never been lost on me, but let me tell you that I am working with a ZEAL like never before!!! My fervour is palpable!
When I sat with Stacey Hines on #BeautyInTheAshes she said "Don't Die With Music Left In You".....
On the heels of losing 2 family members within the past week...
BE KIND TO YOURSELF. BE KIND TO OTHERS. TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. LIVE OUT LOUD. PURSUE YOUR PASSIONS. DO EVERYTHING THAT SETS YOUR SOUL ON FIRE. DON'T DIE WITH MUSIC LEFT IN YOU! PUT YOUR ALL INTO LIVING THE LIFE YOU WANT TO LIVE!! TELL PEOPLE YOU LOVE THEM. SHOW UP FOR YOURSELF. SHOW UP WHEN IT MATTERS MOST. DO EVERYTHING WITH LOVE!
    LEAD WITH LOVE!!
Sending each and every one of you copious amounts of love and positive energy, as we navigate a very strange time in history.
This space is for positive change and inspiration. And I pray each of you are inspired by #OdysseyWithYendi.

    It only seems natural
Will not ever forget that feeling and it still is present when you re-watch the races
    No one like you Usain
You changed the games and made it relatable
No pride or sticking out of tongue that grosses me out or cockiness
    Just fun and sportsmanship
Creating teamwork with your fellow runners that they only aim for gold
    Great leadership

I follow Usain on social and have a lot of respect for him. His up-brining and humbleness is something of movie. I always mention the youngsters in Jamaica and the gun crimes, whenever i comment on stories as like Usain i grew up poor “though i’m not really rich now” why i said that, is to say this.
Poor youths in Jamaica don’t need to turn to guns, i was offer guns growing up in my teenage years, i refuse. That person who offered it is now dead. I ended up migrating to UK joined the British Army and is currently a Staff Sergeant. This i never could have imagine could have happen, the journey continues but now of this would have been, if i had taken that firearm in my earlier days. USAIN YOU INSPIRE ME 🙏🏾🙏🏾
