This was a great video using material to cover journals. I surprise what you use to make the journal,I would never have thought to use such material.

No one likes ironing. I think most young Americans don't even own one! Here's a trick I saw and use - not for large fabric, but if you have ribbon or seam binding that you want to "iron," use a hair straightener! Love the pillow case cover, Justine. I could use some nicer book plates. I finished the covers I made for February Stashbusting and am filling each one with 2 signatures. Still need to decorate the front and add some charms. So here's my question for today - will you use these for one signature or more? I would love to see a video with different kinds of closures. Maybe there's one in your playlist. Thanks for sharing with us.😁
Oh yes, I've heard that about the hair straighteners. I'm too chicken to try it though... like could it catch fire? 😅 Hmm... I think the smaller ones will be just 1 signature. The big one will probably take 2. I prefer one signature journals because I get bored otherwise 🙈😅 I actually have it on my list to do a blog post about journal closures - similar to how I did the embellishments blog you read. So watch this space I guess 😉💖
@@houseofmahalo - Looking forward to "all about closures!' Justine, it's not going to catch fire if you just run a piece of ribbon through. I set mine on medium heat and sometimes need to run it though a few times to get it smoothed out. Of course most journal makers seem to like the crinkly look better 😁Sending you a big thank you. Because of the Jan and Feb challenges, I finished four 2 signature journals!! Last night I put on the dangles. They need closures 🤣and toppers. I might wait on the toppers until I know who they are going to. I seriously do not think I would have done 4 pretty much mass make without those challenges. I had tons of ephemera and needed to use it up. Hope you are having a good week and your injury is healing.😘
Great inspiration to keep things simple! I made one up while I was watching. Fortunately, I had to go out for a couple of hours, so my clips held the fabric down til the glue went off. Mine's a pillowcase too. There's enough to make several journals and notebook covers. Thanks Justine!

Very pretty! Great idea to mass make journaling covers! I have never considered doing that, but I have so much packaging and it needs to be used or tossed! But this makes sense to me, I can always gift the covers if I find someone who can use them. Thanks for sharing.😊

I love your choice of fabrics and papers so pretty! 😍I have a bunch of those bubble mailers to work on in my stash Ive covered one small one in scented draw liner paper I had stashed away and printed some co-ordinating digital papers to make a signature then added some embellishments turned out nice so more on the way! 💜

Actually I love making to covers the best. The decorating slows me down too much. I have a dozen journals ready for pages to be decorated.
I'm with you on the decorating! That slows me down too... I'm always doubting whether I've added enough or whether I've got overboard lol 😅
