Ya CP 77 full mod kit will be incredible . that open world , and the animations quality there has insane potential .

if this will take 10y again then tone of people will lose interest about that game :(
And i dont see any reason for this to take 10y again , because Cdpr fully switc to UE.5 and red engine its not used anymore at all by them. So no reason for this to take forever again till we see the red kit for cp 77.
I have played games all my life but first time I'm interested in learning how those games work and the massive work developers put in. If I was a kid and hadn't been on my career path already, I would have made this my career.

Yes you can, if someone have the animations on blender u can port them to the game, also you can make a script to walk on walls, i bet someone is gonna figure out

Can anyone help me im on blender .42 and when I install the plug in and right click in the outliner I dont get the .re importer option. ive reinstalled the plug in multiples times and blender itself, and ive ran as admin to try. everytime I open blender it tells me new plug in installed please restart blender
Solution!!! You HAVE TO have 4.1 installed no later version at time of writing this

For the love of God, can someone please tell me how to access this menu at 03:52? I have 2 versions of Blender, 3.4 and 4.2, both have the Addon installed and enabled, but that "Import re" option does not appear X(

when i install the animation add on and restart blender i dont get an option to import .re files either by right clicking scene, ''openfile'' or the import option. I do have files saved to my workspace and they show up everywhere else except blender. Any tips?

I had the same problem but you fixed it by installing blender 4.1
this is great as a demonstration.....BUT ...theese kinds of modifications tto the game are more likely to SCREW UP instead of improving movements of people and ESPECIALLY THOSE OF MONSTERS.
capturing motion of a person who is running is one thing....but manually placing keyframes and/or re touching is HARDLY gonna give a credible running animation
so i'm interested is there a way to TRUELY IMPROVE animations where they need improving ( even in small things like MAKING CERTAIN ANIMATIONS SLOWER )
...for example both geralt and roach need some slower and more controllable animations when running ( or even walking ) in narrow spaces or even in front of the smallest obstacle ... they get stuck.
and THIS getsr 100 TIMES WORSE DURING COMBAT.....
during combat geralt is UNABLE TO JUMP OVER SINGLE STEP UP....OR TO HIT THE STARIS WHEN RUNNING.
so for a start...what is necessary are smal corrections but DONE WITH COMPLETE PRECISION.
and i'm interested are there tools for that ?
How would that workf for batch operations though ? I remember seeing a "long" time ago some attempts at retargeting Geralt's animations for female skeleton (e.g to be used along Geralt Doppler mod), but if we have to export/reimport animations 1 by 1 this is gonna be a nightmare to make...

I have the Redkit import and export plugin installed in blender, but I cannot import re files like you can. The “Import .re animset file” option is not there when I right click. But in preferences it says that the “Red Engine animation importer exporter” add on is installed

soon as i load up and do load all groups in live or game the redkit crash and when I do load up the layout looks always purple whats going on whats the advice you can give people with this prob

Why can't I import re files even if I have installed redkit plug-in? I don't have this option when I click rmb
I got it. I had the latest version (4.2) of blender and this plug-in has not worked with it yet

I can only guess. There is an "active" entity (probably an empty one). When he opens the animset, the editor detects that the entity has no "animated component" with that specific animset and it asks if it should add one. By selecting "No" he's telling to not touch the active entity and instead to wait for him to provide one, which he did later on by picking up Geralt from the dropdown menu. Why Gerant has no animated component with that animset? Probably because that animset is used for most of human enemies. Animations have "npc" in the name after all. So an animated component is probably a way to "connect" an entity and a set of animations.
And here I thought that moving from RedEngine to Unreal would be a headache for CDPR.

For modmakers it's tutorial. I've got everything in this one, cuz I've been working with W3 animations long before RedKit3 released. Now we can do what we were dreaming many years ago.
