I hope this helps! You can change up the braids in the back by doing the beehive like shown, side to side or even straight backs and sew it down (which I do have a video for > th-cam.com/video/HgiY4ORtTLY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WMoEYGAmE9g7PK3M (in the initial insertion of the needle, go through the loop though). Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!
Niiiiiiice!! You got this! I have my camera to see the back… have you seen the “hack” where you can mirror your phone to the tv with your phone camera to see what you’re doing for the back of your head?
Thank you for showing from start to finish!!!!! not sure my child will let me try crochet braids on her hair again after the last fiasco, but if she does, this is how I will do her braids.
Yes the struggle is real!!! Me and my girls have below shoulder length/bra strap length hair and it is natural and thick. I really struggle trying to conceal the real braids underneath, hoping this helps!
So real! I’m still trying different patterns and ways of install so I’m not using too much crochet hair. Thank you for watching! If you tried it… how’d it go?
This video is so helpful. I have been trying to learn how to install pre-looped braids in my daughter's long thick hair and my attempts have been getting better but far from good. Crocheting the ends in is genius (I have been trying to weave them into another braid or keeping hair and braiding it up as a single braid and you can def tell lol.) ❤️
Thank you! Have you tried this braid pattern or something similar? Have your attempts improved? Is there anything else you need help with when crocheting her hair?
@@HeyChrishinda she's been wearing it natural for mths now, I'm gonna be out of practice again lol. I've def improved tho, just need to work on keeping my braids tight and placement even. The pre-braided crochet was a game changer.
This is awesome! Thank you so much I've been looking for a braid pattern that would make my hair flat for crochet because my hair is shoulder length, not as long as yours but this is perfect ! Follow your instructions step by step perfectly! I would have liked to seen the install of your crochet. Sometimes I have a habit of just hooking my crochet on every little braid so I would have loved to see how yours turned out. Thank you Chrishinda🎉❤
Yesssss! Glad I could walk you through it and that I could help! I don’t mind a bit of a space, so if you feel like you are just putting too many, just space them out a bit. 🫣 I usually try to do a video of the braid pattern, install, & takedown, but next time! Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!
My daughter has long and thick hair too and she just asked me to do a crochet style for her but I needed a better pattern (to follow), in order to braid her hair and the final look is natural a.k.a flat/level all around! Thank you so much for posting and showing this tutorial! ❤✨️🙌
I’m so late to the game….but have been really trying to find a quick and efficient way to braid my hair down…I’ve got the invisible look down in the front…but always seems to have trouble with what to do with the back braids. My hair is shoulder length and thick as well. Most recently I sewed my braids down…buy boy that took a min. Thanks so much for this…going to try it out.
THANK YOU! This braid down was amazing for my length ! I tried a different braid down from another braided who also does a great job on her hair. However I didn’t take into consideration that she didn’t have as much hair as I did so I ended up taking all of my hair out a couple of days later and I found YOU! NEW subbie here. 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
Thank you. This was the most simple and easiest braid pattern for thick hair. One of the best foundation braid patterns on you tube. Thanks for going step by step and showing all the angles. This will be my go to braid pattern. 🙂
I’m glad I could help! I like to be as thorough as possible. Check out the stylists I linked as well. Did you try this braid pattern or a variation of it?
I’ve just been wearing crochet for about 2 years, so I feel you with trying a bunch that don’t work! Check out the stylists I mentioned as well. Thank you for watching!
Thank you!! I’m a beginner braided to and want to convince my daughter that crochet is the way to go. (My first attempt was an epic fail). I am going to try this.
Guess who loves you??? ME!!! My cousin has your length and thickness and stays wanting crochet and sew-in styles and as I only do them for her finding braiding patterns that would lay flat enough was a struggle, so when I tell you I shouted "YESSS!! OMG, YESS!!!" through your WHOLE video I mean it. 😂🤣 The respect on mentioning the stylists you were inspired by and your detailed explanation of your process, including future improvements was spectacular!!! I have subscribed and will make cousin do the same. 😂🤣
🤣🤣 this made me smile! I’m sooo glad I could help! Thank you for commenting! Yes, different braid patterns have my cornrows so bulky…my hair is thick, so it’s still not “flat flat,” but definitely better! Let me know how it turns out!
Thank you! & I don’t remember… but I’m still a beginner braider, so it took a while. Straight backs would’ve took a while too. I’m patient when it comes to doing my hair.
This is the only one I’ve been able to find where the hair is anywhere close to being as long as mine. THANK YOU

I am going to use a variation of this pattern. I now feel confident that I can braid my own hair in a circle.

So creative! Please share a braiding pattern for wig wearers. I am struggling with the various lumps and humps for my WL hair
Thank you! If/when I wear a wig… it’s a headband wig, so it would be this one or straight backs.
Thank you for the detailed information ❤
