Couldn’t agree more with your comments as I too mainly sup foil (not got the wing thing sorted yet), I have put my hover through some beatings in large ish surf & a foil plate failure. The build quality is 2nd to none & the weight is spot on. If I change my 2year old board it’ll probably be another Naish Hover carbon 🤙

I’ve got the 75 litre board it’s awesome but I only wing with it. What leash system are you now using Reuben

I still pretty basic with my leash system really. Just a 8' straight leash around calf or ankle. thanks Reuben

Hi Reuben. Very good video. It's not common to see this kind of real information on the net. I have learned wingfoiling in a 130 litre board and want to go to another smaller but not much. I don't jibe yet, but soon. I want to be able to fly easily in light wind (10-15 knots) choppy on shore conditions, so I'm thinking on buying the hover 110 (my weight is 71 kg). I'm not going to use it for supfoiling. My question is do you think Naish made some compromises for supfoiling in this board which could be bad for early winging taking off in light winds? For example rocker, kick tail, etc? Thank you so much.

Hey, so overall I still love this board, it does a-lot well. But now with the development of these new longer thinner downwind SUP boards which many riders are using for light wind winging (like this one th-cam.com/video/tf38Q6CVQAk/w-d-xo.html ) . They are getting up in much lighter conditions. But im still not 100% sure that they are best for winging. TBH we are going to be doing alot of riding on these types of boards over the next months to hopefully understand it more. But at present I feel the Hover are still a good all round board for winging. Thanks Reuben

Ps also helps if you are lighter, like yourself. The hovers still get going pretty early. Heavier riders might go towards these new longer boards???

Hi Reuben thanks for the review. I am 91.6 kilos/202 lbs what would be a suitable size sup/wing board in this range?

Hi Mark, are you just starting out or do you already have experience?

I see you ride Armstrong Foils.. is this really better than the armstrong 5'8 fg 99l and the 5'5 88L Fg ?:)

Yeah I love my Armstrong foils especially in the surf. Regarding the Armstrong boards. I do find their boards work really well and I enjoy using them for winning. But I find that the volumes of the boards for me I'm a little in between when it comes to Sup surfing and the short cut off noses I find hard to paddle and punch through waves when paddling out. 99L is too big and the 88L I feel will be too short in the surf at 5'5.
But I do feel the footstrap and foil box placement with the AS bang on!
O but I do have any AS Prone foil board though!! lol Thanks Reuben

Hello, what is your weight? I’m 73kg looking for a SUP foil board, intermediate rider.

Hi, I weigh 75kg and I find this board perfect for me. I could go smaller but I like to paddle in the surf and with a wing. Thanks Reuben
