I have a 2017 model. So far I've put a power plug in and a cocktail shaker exhaust. I've also put in a brighter white light headlamp. I have big bikes but I have the most fun on that little SR400 and ride it the most. Everyone thinks it's an old bike that I kept in shape. You should see their faces when I tell them the year lol.

I love the look of your bike and I want to do something similar with my handlebars. I can find the Old Champion Handlebar by Motor Rock and I can find a bunch of 250 Dresser Handle sets. Are both of these handlebars? What do I need to do to get the cables? I'm just trying to figure out what to order.

Hi, very nice. Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking to buy one this summer and also have some tweaks since the bike is nice as it is. First will be the seat. Then, tail lamp, footpegs and maybe handlebar. Two questions; I see you add the Nitrohead seat plus the seat adapter kit. Do you really need the kit to install the seat? I guess the major drawback will be the lack of performance. Is the Stage 4 kit really changing this?. Best

The kit is needed to relocate the battery. But i'm sure it can be done without the kit as well. Still you need to do some small adjustments to the pegs under the front of the seat for it to fit correctly. The stage 4 kit give's you some extra power, but not much. If it's worth it to you or anyone else i can't say. For me it was. As for the bike itself i couldn't be more happy with it. It' fun and reliable and get nothing but positive comments wherever i go. Good luck with yours.

Hi. Did you have to extend the wiring harness, or was it long enough with the Dressler Handle Set? Your bike looks really nice! Great job!

Hi. Had i found a cable, brake hose and wiring harness set that was long enough to fit the old champion handlebars i would have bought it. Instead i had to go for the dresser handle set which didnt include the wiring harness, only throttle, clutch and decompression cables plus brake hose. So i had a local motorcycle repair shop help me extend the original harness on the SR. Thank's for the compliments on the bike.

Hi. Thanks for the reply and the info. It appears that you did your homework well. I can't seem to find any extra long harnesses, or harness extensions for this bike either. So I'll probably enlist some local help too. That's a good idea. Thanks again, and we'll see you on the road. Take care.

How do you like the Mostyn stage 4 kit? Is there a noticeable power increase? Did it require center stand removal or adaptor? Sounds nice at idle.

It's ok. The kit gives you a bit more power - enough that you can feel the difference. No need for center stand removal or adaptor.
