As a resident white...let me start with the fact that my opinion could change tomorrow. But a few of my favorite "black movies" (in quotes because I'm going with cast and storyline, not necessarily who was involved behind the scenes) are: 'Paid In Full', 'Life', 'Sometimes In April' and 'Judas And The Black Messiah'. TV shows: 'Black Earth Rising', 'The Wire' (obviously), and I'll throw in 'Fresh Prince' and 'My Wife And Kids' in terms of shows that impacted a younger me. Not trying to "I would've voted for Obama 4x if I could" here, I just find it sincerely difficult to make lists off the top of my head. I know I'm leaving out a million gems.

I’m my house we having a saying called “Sugar Saturdays” It’s the only day that we eat take out and junk food. I workout 5 days a week and walk an average of 15k steps a day, rain snow or sunshine I’m outside. I cook all my meals and drink only water or tea. I also roller skate, ride my bike and play tennis and try to live a overall healthy lifestyle. I’m almost 40
Does Carbonated Water count as water intake? 👀 If Tony wasn’t a comedian he would be an absolute beast at promoting water. All the water companies need Tony 😂😂😂 When Tony said “You poo butt, bubble booty thick hip bastards” I cackled hehe
My very favorite in that genre is Harlem Nights. I also really enjoy Hollywood Shuffle, Don't Be A Menace to South Central, all the Friday movies. I would have said Purple Rain if that counts? Not sure if Black Panther applies cuz it's Marvel. I'm Gonna Get You Sucka is really funny too. So clearly I'm into comedies
Please do a movie night/ review for “Dont look up” 😂 it’s a great movie I think you would like and be funny giving a review on. It’s about how distracted the world is when real stuff is actually happening. And how it would be if the world was ending and only a select few people know it’s about to happen and tries to warn everyone lol it’s good
And you are discounting a great soundtrack, I get that some people might overlook it, but your looking at the love song side, but "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka" has one of the Best soundtracks ever put together. the mix of old and new of that day and time was hype and yes I dated myself with that movie, that music, and the word "hype".
I watched Selina recently with my girl, Tony. You ain’t missing nothing. I got annoyed because there’s like 4 different performance scenes. I couldn’t take it. It’s for the fans and I respect that.
I’m definitely the costar in my own story. I’m the Billy Rosewood in Beverly Hills Cop type costar. A couple one liners and getting pushed around the first half of my life. Yeah I’m Billy. I needed an Axel Foley.
So I have a lot of people meet me find out I am a Purple Heart Disable Veteran, they always ask, would I have changed my mind if I would have known I was going to get injured like I was, I always say, I wish I had better health, but I love being able to go to the VA for all my health care because they take such great care of me and that I am always getting check ups and regularly. And the amount of healthy programs that I get because of the VA I am in a better way. Don't live a life without insurance.
Any list without Michael Jackson is being different for different's sake. To see Michael Jackson live at the 1992 Bucharest show with all those people fainting would have been ridiculous on the historical tip. I would just go and watch people going crazy. Even if you didn't like Michael Jackson you'd be watching the most famous human in the world outside of Jesus. That's gotta be in your top 3.
