I have an Ork and a Black Templars army from 3.5rd edition and with my current income (or lack thereof) can't invest into a brand new army. But if one of the best 40k channels on TH-cam can bring their Firstborn into the table, then so can I!
Me who still runs predators, devesrators, and razors in my 10th list 😮 The loss of ASM STILL makes me salty. I was so ready to run my 5th Ed list again
@@boonballer My army is all firstborn too so am in a similar boat. Thankfully the new jump pack intercessors are basically identical datasheet-wise to assault marines, unless you had a special weapon in the squad), so the old assault marines are still perfectly usable.
This narrative was incredible! The voice lines recorded really stood out to me and I'd love to know who recorded them! I absolutely want to watch all of these and will get membership when I can. You guys keep elevating the standard for batreps and I'm so glad I found you guys.

Amazing. I’m an Astartes player but you have to root for Nick. My heart broke when his valiant resistance was not rewarded in what turned out to be a crushing defeat. After watching at least 5 of Nick’s games, I can tell he desperately needs a new set of dice

Getting ready to prime and paint my Marvel minis (once I buy my paints, that's a whole NOTHER series, lol). Already put the game on the table, and it is freaking addictive. Can't wait to try more factions and figures!
I don't play the game. Just paint the minis. But I love watching these. You make it just as good and entertaining to watch as though I was watching my fav sports team.

Not to disparage the batreps since they're so awesome, but there hasn't been a single well-built guard list on play-on that I've ever seen. A lot of the wargear, unit, and tactical choices made are really questionable which make even a decently played army from any other faction really perform against them.
Love narrative games but not gonna lie the objectives seemed heavily favored for the blood angles it might just have mad it worse they went second though
So just so I understand this, all 6 episodes will be free but members get very early access to the battle narratives with the free episodes tickling in slowly?
@@PlayOnTabletop maybe release the remainder of the series for free later down the line (for example six months from now)? I understand the incentive for paying subscribers getting early access to the videos, but not everyone can do that, and we still want to be able to enjoy the narrative you want to tell.

We rely on Memberships now to maintain enough resources like our team of editors, our commentator, and our producers along with having to rent a full studio space. Membership stability and growth means we can continue to produce our main shows like 40k in 40m for regular public view. We want to give people a reason to join Membership and stay members through exclusive content. Maybe there is a future where we can make a different model work but as of now, we need and want to reward members who are a big part of funding this channel so content can keep being made.

I feel like Nick was playing very differently. He wasn't taking any obvious CP rerolls while his opponent did every one. Like he absolutely should have CP rerolled the one demo shot on the terminator captain, there was no reason not to. He really didn't use any stratagems except for the reinforcements strat.
I'm very interested in how the campaign map was built/put together. Was that printed? If so, where can I get the files? That city layout was exactly what I've wanted for a long time.

A full assault space marines army vs some guard infantry and like three tanks. Love the narrative just gonna focus on that lol but knew where this was going from gate.
When I was young, I was playing a lot of carboard games and I just started to hate RNG with throwing cubes. not because I was unlucky, but because I was starting to see issues that no matter what I do it's still on RNG side, which is stupid, I want a full controll so no RNG, just pure knowledge and strategy like in Chess. I wonder how it would go if everything would be just 100% success, no cube throws just instant play without throws of RNG, how tactical it would be.
Wow, they really hammered down the poor Rogal Dorn's firepower didn't they? Its main twin battle-cannons only having AP -1 definitely hurt massively here with both the rhino and the predator just shrugging off most of its firepower. Out of interest, at 29 mins the heavy bolters from the turrets fire down on the terminator squad...who save with a 2. Does the heavy bolter not have AP-1? In which case, would that not mean a 3+ save for the terminators?
Not going to lie, I feel like even though the Blood Angles won this battle in that they drove the enemy from the field, I think ultimately it was a strategic defeat for them. They lost an entire squad of veteran marines and multiple Sanguinary Guards to some common dime-a-dozen rebel planet. Edit: As well as an entire squad of terminators and a chaplain.
Love that the Imperium didn't have any space marines available to help Termina, but the minute they try to go independent...
