After losing 120 pounds 5 years ago I weigh myself everyday at same time of day and use the 10 day moving average to see where I am really at. While losing the weight I weighed every two months. I knew what needed to be done and did not really care what the scales said at that time. It took me two years to lose the weight and now I have maintained my weight loss for 3 years. For 5 years I have only eaten real food which is food that only has one word in the ingredient list. I eventually lost my hunger and started eating OMAD. The key to weight loss is to eat foods that do not make you hungry and are nutritionally dense 100 percent of the time. If you are nutritionally deficient you will be hungry. If you make poor food choices even once you will have cravings and you can NOT win the battle when you have cravings and hunger. Remember this, Eating a Boring Healthy diet 100 percent of the time will lead you to an Active Exciting Life. Good Luck.
struggled with weight, facing common lies about fat loss. this video echoed my journey. the speaker busted myths about carbs, extreme diets, and the scale's sole importance. resonated with the need for sustainable approaches. aspect health subtly influenced my path too, embracing gradual changes. now, prioritizing mindful eating and realistic goals for a healthier life.

I'm so glad you liked the info in the video. For IF, I recommend starting at a 16:8 and using whatever timeframe that works best - usually it's going to include when you're asleep. Te number of meals is up to you, but I usually have 3 meals and a snack. I share how I do it in this video so you can see h ow someone can fit it into their day: th-cam.com/video/PQ7kvFyljow/w-d-xo.html :)
I'm going to disagree with you. I know how my body reacts to any carb. I used to be prediabetic. Cutting carbs made a huge difference. But also weight gain and loss has alot to do with thyroid and hormones and so much more.
Absolutely - I'm speaking to the general health population here - if you have a specific condition, like celiac, carbs are certainly going to cause an issue...but that's not the case for the majority of people.
@@laceybaier_great response but generally it is not celiac, autoimmune or diverticulitis,... It is a brain condition, trauma, stress, lack of happiness, lack of good intensity in life causing the person to have an addictive personality/ behavior. So far in my experience, never have I ever seen a diabetic or pre diabetic that ate correctly and exercised sufficiently. I'm still searching and have even offered a reward to my parents to find me a person who eats correctly, performs proper training 5 days a week and then becomes diabetic as a result. It just doesn't happen. Several series of specific bad events for several years led up to the issue.
I'd have to say I see very similar trauma related to weight gain with my clients, too. But that doesn't mean avoiding carbs is correct for everyone. You bring up a good point.
The numbers in the US are just scary. America is absolutely addicted to sugar. I think if more people understood sugar addiction they would understand the changes they can easily make to become healthier.
Then you went to a bad doctor. Also note, lifestyle/ behavior modification should be the first level of treatment not just obesity but for skinny fat (under muscled equally bad), hypertension, PCOS, diabetes, weak immune system, cardiovascular issues,...and a long list. In many cases, the first required change is: divorce (toxic relationship or unsatisfied relationship), change jobs to reduce stress, move to a new location to avoid vehicle exhaust, pollution, contaminated drinking water, climate has a major role,,... Basically get happy, while at the same time start exercising, then food choices, then quantity and then quality.... Of course stop drinking alcohol, Coke cola and smoking. However all that said, can't tell you how many Hundreds of times the lady said - "but doc, can't you just give me some medication to get me started?" Sad but true😢
Sorry to anger you, but I tin kit's also important to be aware of the lies so you can take the steps that will actually work. It angers me, too, which is why I wanted to provide the truth here
@laceybaier_ I am sorry. I was angry at the lies. Lol. I understand why you made this. Glad you informed us. I knew all of it already. It just makes me mad that there are so many that believe the lies and won't see the truth.
Can you please do a video on lemons ? And why people say to drink lemon water?

I 100% agree!
I think it's horrible that the first go to for a doctor is bariatric surgery instead of behavior modification.
Agreed - the first solution should be nutrition and fitness :( and don't get me started on prescribing thyroid pills! lol

Yep, it's also a systemic issue. :(
