Shimmy, what an informative video! The takeaways from these sellers are wonderful, I would love to see more videos like these! You just became one of my new FAVORITE youtubers! I appreciate your transparency, honesty and knowledge. Thank you so much!!
Thank you! I love all the analytics that you provide regarding POD. You help us to see the big picture in a way that is direct, honest and informative. More videos like this one please!
This is true most of the TH-cam videos are surface they don't get down to the nitty gritty of how to do things with print on demand. Thanks for the great video.
''Don't Reinvent The Wheel'' is The Key, I had been trying to do new things for years and didn't work but now when i started to do what everyone is doing i started to see good results. especially graphic designers spend a lot of time on designing and less time on researching...thats wrong.
Curious about the Shopify comments. Seems profit margins would be pretty comparable to Etsy or Amazon because marketing budget needs to be so much higher when you are driving your own traffic. At least when you first open, there would be no organic traffic for a Shopify store. Any more insights about those data?
What Shopify comments? Profit margins are different mainly because on Shopify we can charge $26.99 minimum whereas etsy is a lot lower. There are ads which need to be taken into account, however, overtime those ads become more and more valuable and the concept of building a list is incredible. The profit margins on those sales are much higher than other platforms.
Excellent! I will most likely switch to Shopify in the future - I'm inspired by your new store & its success! But, for now, I kind of see Etsy as "training wheels," where I can learn about researching & creating designs, what works, what doesn't, & let Etsy handle the advertising. I just don't think I could handle the technical aspects of both Shopify & FB ads, in addition to creating designs. And, yes, more like this!
Hey so I’ve been subscribed to your channel about 7 months now but have been watching you for 11. I don’t remember if you did but have you spoken about Shopify starter pan for $5 per month? If not can you do a video on it please?☺️
I am in your HUB. I bet you want to interview me next year. You are the best, and the HUB is amazing. The people in there are so helpful and energizing.
Great video, thanks! I've heard two different opinions on how often you should create listings on Etsy. Some people recommend adding many listings quickly to boost your shop, while others suggest creating just one listing per day. In your experience, how often should you create listings on Etsy?
Hi Shimmy. Big fan and subscriber of your videos. I have a question that might make a helpful video. I was lucky enough to be tiered up to 100, but Amazon limits the number of products that I can create each day. So, I can only upload one design per day with all its products. Sometimes I have to go in the next day to add more products to an uploaded design. Can you please do a video on how best to manage your Amazon designs and uploads? Thank you for all that you do for the POD community.
Great video, Shimmy! I'm curious to know if all these sellers have platforms where they teach other people how to do it? If you are able to find them, it'd be a super interesting video to hear from sellers who are making a ton of money but currently don't have a platform teaching other people how to do it.
Hey Shimmy. I’m eager to watch these interviews. When do you think you’ll begin posting? Do you drill into the minutiae? I have to say I’m the most curious about niche research. I feel you need to have some knowledge in whichever niche you pick, but I can never settle on a niche personally. I’d love to hear the range of opinions you may have gotten on this subject among others.
I’m releasing the podcasts into The Print on Demand Hug. The first one with Cassiy went live. The next should be out soon It does help to know the niche. But you can learn about a niche too
@@shimmymorris1 $99 a month! I’ll have to review whether I can justify that after getting set up. For the time being as I haven’t actually got set up yet, I guess I’ll have to look elsewhere. Thanks for the video anyway, it’s good content and I appreciate someone who talks realistically about the cons as well as the pros.
@@DuncanHasArms thanks. No problem. There’s a lot more to it than just podcasts. That price tag is mainly there due to the community and personal support aspect. But absolutely no pressure. It’s there if anyone needs it but don’t want to pressure anyone
Some of us cant use advertising due to our tier. The designs i am selling are ones that are different then any others. So it sounds like i m inventing the wheel. Guess you have to do what works for you, and not listen to what others say about it.
The few interviews I watched (not these ones, different ones) said that you don't start Shopify store right away. First you get some traffic on POD platforms, collect some emails in the process, and then shift to Shopify. Is this the right strategy?
I wanna start print on demand but im from a 3rd world country so that means shopify payment would not be available to me do you have any advice which payment provider i should use
shout out Shimmy, your content is so fire!!! i have plan to sell POD on etsy so pls give me some supplier which offering free sample and photo of the product
thank you! I don't know any suppliers doing free samples... In terms of photos. you could take those yourself with your sample. Or you could just use mock ups which is a lot easier
I use it a lot, don't get me wrong. For every aspect of my business. The issue is when people fully rely on it and stop making decisions themselves. A lot of ai designs and results are shite. A lot don't realise that
@@shimmymorris1 Sorry for my abrupt comment. And thank you for your polite reply. Maybe you are right, we should not fully rely only on AI without making the needed changes and edits. Your reply makes sense. I am just sick of people talking AI down as if it's a curse or plague. Those who don't embrace it will be left behind. That goes for any content creator. Video, blogs, etc.
I don’t remember being contacted by you for any interview. What, my 4 sales don’t matter? 😂
haha one day
😂😂😂😂He did not call me too. I don’t understand why, I sold almost 2 shirts 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love it! Thank you-April
I had 3 sales, interview me next ok?
Would love to see more like this, Shimmy. You’ve saved me a lot of time and tears, I suspect!

I am having the same issue and b/c im not utilizing all the products Im not getting tiered up. I think.
Glorious video! More plz! 😍 X
More to come!
Thank you for the video! I am learning new things about myself like how much I do actually liking designing. Maybe I should try out digital products
you're welcome!! Start with research and see how other successful people do it. Designing becomes a lot easier after that
Hello shimmy, is phone cases a good product you would recommend?
I haven’t sold them so hard to say their viability
What about shipping? Global shipping is expensive. Is it better to ship only to us?
We mainly sell in the US as the market is much bigger
So only US so that you dont have to change provider?
I think you have to be a tech wizard especially for shopify
What is shimmy tshirt store called? I want to see the advice in action.
Nice one Shimmy! Hilariously, the video suggestion that popped up after this was, Greg Gotfried lol 😂
haha!
More please!
How to deal with Treadmark and copyright in Shopify store
this isn't very common as no one can just see your store. usually only customers are seeing it. But the same laws apply
Is there a community chat? Discord or other where we can chat to each other and find out how others found the course?
Thank you.
You can join the free group, there's lot of chat in there about it

yes in The Print on Demand Hub
