Nice review Erick with a CK. Next time come to kisumu I offer you a Toyota carina for reviewing. You viewed premio Nyoka and I think you should do the same for it's sister "CARINA"
Hehehe, nice outro apo na Polisi.... I totally agree, the pricing of the Premio is on the higher side...then considering the risk factor ya wizi... Afadhali Sylphy
I love watching your videos. Have been following you for an year now. Great content, just avoiding repeating same point soo many times and it will be great. Keep up
I have briefly checked your Sylphy review and in my view, the Premio still wins.. This particular model you were testing is a 2007 model, and you are testing it against a 2015 model..that's 8 years difference.. The 2007 model almost matches the 2015 model in acceleration despite being pre-driven and hence the tear and wear.. You talked about the gearbox only, how about other Nissan parts that are known to be fragile, such as bushes and probably the suspension? All those bring about an unprecedented costs that could be significant in the longrun, especially considering that Nissan parts are quite pricey. So for me, with 1.4M, I can go for a 2014 Allion (Premio Sister) and will have the peace of mind of not worrying about the gearbox, suspension, durability, and resale value (btw resale value is underrated until you are faced with a problem and would not necessarily want to sale the car, but use the logbook to secure some quick loan).
8 yrs difference and the only change toyota made on the premio is the xenon lights , 2015 sulphy would still beat toyota premio 2015 in every aspect except on the reliability part
Great stuff/ content you do erick. Always watching and rewatching your videos man. On the next videos kindly give a review to a toyota auris 2014 onwards.
Great review. On re-driven, kindly can you do a review on the honda CRV pre-2006 model and also the Subaru forester sg5. Maybe a head to head comparison and the better buy. Looking forward to that
Hey Wakabi, am a car enthusiast and your content is very informative well detailed and entertaining kwanza Ibra jamaa wa plastic 🤣 ....keep doing the good work am really learning alot from you guyz about cars
That police officer is called Ngare. He has an old Touring wagon, Toyota. He extorted money from me. The same spot. I even know him by the voice. Ni mkora mkubwa sana. He goes around arresting and extorting money from people driving along the show grounds roads. He targets those doing practice.
Resale value ya premio umebuy 2.2 maximum you can sale after 5 yrs is 1.5m , the nissan you buy 1.4 after 5 yrs uuze 1m there is no diffrence in resale value, the vehicle which holds value is Benz C200
hapa kidogo mumeonea premio, ebu show me a similar age sylphy, the build quality ya premio ni chuma and it ages well sylphy you'd think imekaa kwa barabara 25 years panels out of place
Ulitafuta premio mzee KCB ungetafuta mpya kiasi. Juu Sylphy ilikuwa mpya compared to this premio. Na ujui kama mwenye alikupea kama ata anafanya service vile inafaa.
Hi Erick,I am one of your fans from day 1 and I can attest that you have a particular hate for premio, and you command your view of the car over the one that Ibra has.Kindly let everyone have their view....my take
We're it not for the pricing... I feel like his hate for Premio led him to give it a lower rating than it deserves. I mean give the car some credit. It put a a solid fight and its a 2008 car vs a 2015 Sylphy surely... With all the wear and tear.!!!
i have questions 1. when your cvt breaks down(for hybrid vehicle) and you want to replace it can you instead use an automatic transmission 2. how can you import new cars 3. can you change a front wheel drive vehicle to AWD or 4WD
An attempt to answer you: 1. I don't think so. Hybrid vehicles have their unique transmission systems (Electronically Controlled CVT - Read more on this). 2. Do Your Own Research to find reputable firms or people who do this business. Do Your Own Research Diligently. 3. It's possible. But it's more COST EFFECTIVE to just buy a car with AWD or 4WD to begin with.
Hiyo part ya mwisho was it scripted 😅😅... Subaru ya mambaru imewapata. Anyway, excellent review guys, I also think Toyota is extremely overated and overpriced. I'll go for the Nissan any day
Sylphy for me. No pressure about theft, beautiful interior, fairy priced. Can live with the gearbox issues as long as I mitigate with ur advice. Premio is overpriced by far.
@@reubenkamau7070 Have u driven a B 17? If u get a chance, do so. U will understand why we are saying Toyota is an overpriced hype. Car these days are not created to last a lifetime. Cars like 504 were created to last but even premio is created to be replaced every 7 years or so.
Eric, am waiting to see your review of the latest premio. Good stuff lakini hapa ulionea Premio. At the minimum you could have compared a new premio than a re-driven one.
Huyo polisi anafungua mlango wa gari yako kama nani.....i think you should do a video of what the police can or cannot do when they stop you according to the law. (Unless they have detained you)
I really love watching your reviews cause I really love cars and to be specific great performance cars,,, can you please do a review on volkswagen jetta, I really love the car but I don't know if its a good car to buy in Kenya especially in terms of maintenance ( availability of spares, their costs and also availability of mechanics who are conversant with that car in Kenya). Thank you.
We're it not for the pricing... I feel like Wakabi's hate for Premio led him to give it a lower rating than it deserves. I mean give the car some credit. It put up a solid fight and its a 2008 car vs a 2015 Sylphy surely... With all the wear and tear.!!!
been driving premio J 240 2005. the max i ever spent on mechanical repair was 10K. 500km service usually 3k. Driven for 277000km so far. Spacious interior and boot. Interior not beautiful. Expensive to buy. Not expensive long term. Not bad for daily use. I cant complain
@@jamesmwangi7678 thank you James for your feedback, I'm looking to get one soon though I was not so sure if its gonna dent me on fuel on daily errands especially on Nairobi roads
Fiel consumption(cheap or expensive) depends on your budget. I would say its not as efficient as modern cars but quite okay. I fuel 12 liters from Nairobi to Nakuru on a normal weekend trafic with 4 occupants
You guys keep forgetting the wear n tear of Sylphy or any Nissan body compared to Premio/Allion. Tafta premio KCE original paint and Sylphy KCZ original paint then we talk.
The wear and tear issue is "Hot air" , how long a car lasts is as a result of how it is looked after.. The two cars are made with the same material on the exterior.
Hio mia nane inabaki wacha ninunue nayo gearbox za sylphy kwani nitanunua gearbox ngapi 😁😁 plus hizi gari sizinaenda japan miaka saba bila issue? soo yeah 2.2m is theft
It wins of the reliability and theft. The Nissan Sly wins on all the other areas. 600k ni gearbox sita of which it may fail once in its life time
Good job guys as usual.i would like a review of Toyota rush seems to have a good ground clearance and would like to know more about it please
Nice review Erick with a CK.

A good thought
@@harunkimathi8515 They presented a biased review.
The Premio is a better car generally than the Sylphy but the sylphy is a better value for money: Comfort, Fuel Economy, Buying Price, Cheaper gearbox
8 yrs difference and the only change toyota made on the premio is the xenon lights , 2015 sulphy would still beat toyota premio 2015 in every aspect except on the reliability part
In my view,I admire the 2016 generation because of the new look at the headlights. But it's so unfortunate that it was discontinued.
Why was it discontinued?
I also don't know.
But EriCK surely, a 2015 Nissan is going head to head with a 2008/2009 Toyota. Gari ni reliabilty, even today i would opt for the Toyota.
Sylphy wins by far......coz the time u were driving it u told us that it was on eco mode.......Sylphy iko Juu.....

You never touched on the valve matic engine which runs on the premio 265 (X&G) grades
This is amazing. Toyota ni gari. I am always choosing the Premio over Nissan Sylphy.
Remove the mats, accelerator to touch the floor. You have to factor in such variables. It can do less than 13.76secs.
If you want reliability and money is no issue buy this but if you budget is tight and you are willing to fix cooler in the gearbox buy nissan syliffy
