Going Dark: Living Without Electricity

Lately, with the looming electricity crisis, I've been thinking what life would be like if we could live entirely without electricity. This little series will be updated fairly regularly where I share my experiences with all my viewers and hopefully make mistakes on your behalf so you dont have to make them.

Charl, excellent series. Having been off grid since I met you, we have been simplifying continuously. First, experimentally and later out of necessity. We have been learning to use less joules, but also get benefits from it. I consider gas and petroleum based fuels on grid too, because it's a reliance. So doing with less of that and less power, has been nothing but a challenging but rewarding and empowering thing.
Like some of the others said, we need power for some things but there's always a way, always !
So I am with you on this journey.
