I really appreciate your hard work and I love your lessons. This concept has been kind of difficult to grasp for me but after watching other videos, this lesson kind of summed all up in such a clear way that I start seeing the light (finally!). 정말 감사합니다, 멕시코에서 인사해요.

      @Shah Bhuiyan He basically omitted the subject “I” in the second clause, because he is the speaker. Korean sentences usually omit the subject “I” for avoiding redundancy and in order to sound more natural

    Hello, if this denotes a reason, then in this case, can "는데" be changed to "아/어서"? And will there be a difference in meaning?

    • @timeforkorean

      Hi thanks for your comment. I have a video that explains the difference btw 은데/는데 & 어서/아서 so please check out the video and if you still have questions, always let me know :)

    hello! i already know how to use 는데 but why do korean people sometimes say 는데 without any sentences after it?
    오 맛있는데.?!
    오 너무 예쁜데요.?

    • @timeforkorean
      @timeforkorean  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a great question! For your first example 맛있는데..?!, it has a nuance of “I didn’t expect much or didn’t think it would be delicious but it’s so delicious!”, so it’s unexpectedly and surprisingly delicious.
      Second one is the same. 너무 예쁜데요..?! “It’s so (surprisingly/unexpectedly) pretty..!”

      I’ll try to make a video on the usages of the ending -(으)ㄴ/는데요!

    고 싶다»고 싶는데why it is wrong?

    • @timeforkorean
      @timeforkorean  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Simply because “싶다” is categorized as an adjective. With adjectives, you need to attach -(으)ㄴ데 instead of -는데. Hope it helped 😊

  • @swastikarupal3114
    @swastikarupal3114 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For your example : 한국어가 재미있는데 한국어를 배우세요, can one use 재미있던데 instead of 재미있는데?

    • @timeforkorean
      @timeforkorean  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for your comment! Yes! That works too. I was going to cover grammar -던 soon but simply put, it implies “based on my experience” so it’s a suggestion based on something you have done in the past.
