Definitely need grounding adapter for ev charging I use one supplied by ecoflow for their series of power banks, works fine on model 3. If you want to keep charging whilst having the car locked just leave sentry mode on, it keeps our 12v fridge going nonstop on trips when stopped overnight, drain is minimal (more drain from sentry mode than fridge).
Your model S not charging may be down to it expecting an earth which the power station will not be able to provide. You may be able to adapt a plug that you could put into one of the other sockets. Brian
Oddly enough we’ve been looking for a 1000w solar storage generator for use with the caravan rather than using site to-be-paid-for electricity. Charge off solar during the week and use it on a weekend trip, maybe even top it off overnight at home on cheap rate power too. Just the price thats off putting !
😂most 'Granny chargers' require a dedicated earth connection in order to work. If there is an earth connection on the 'powerstation' then maybe a metal tentpeg with a sheathed cable attached to connect to said power source woulð suffice.
AAAHHHH! Nostalgia. I was flying Chipmunks out of RAF Church Fenton, Tadcaster in the 70s and visiting discos in Leeds on my nights off. Remember that well.
The “Froot” is ideal for storing your charging cable but the charge port is at the rear! Have the Americans got used to reverse parked Teslas without thinking there’s a robbery going down?
Hi, again, Sam, sorry about the issues. we just ran another test on Amazon and it worked for us, so there's some other issue.did you use Amazon or direct to their website? Dave
TH-cam Bjorn has a 1 & 2 kW battery bank. He regularly runs EVs until they stop. They work although I think he had to buy a different cable.

As you say not for everyone, but useful for those who need the extra power when using tools or travelling.

That’s my suspicion Brian so I’ll go back to Aferiy and see if they have a solution. I know Tesla states you can’t charge Model S from a generator

Could do with a portable vacuum cleaner Dave 😂
The promo code doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve had the 2400 model in & out of the basket three times. 😢
Hi Sam, can you contact us on the email address davetakesiton@gmail.com please and we'll check it out, Dave

@@davetakesitonhi Dave I used my Amazon app. I’ll give it another go tomorrow and see if I can get it working.
Many thanks
please let me know if it doesn't, Dave
Have a Kia EV6, i can do all of this with 3.6kw V2L
Just got a email from shell recharge price going up to 90p per kW
No and certainly not at 1,300 Euro for 2.4 Kw storage. Much cheaper to get a V2L adapter starting at 37 Euro.
Only 2kWh (don’t quote power instead of capacity). Bi un ion ick or co nah and get 3.6kW.
You need a grounding plug to charge an EV from those
