Adding a relic of something once held by Cambiar might be a fun idea considering where your colony is now. A sort of callback to that first frozen playthrough.
I was thinking the same thing! If RNG actually does this it'd be like hitting the lottery, though with so many updates and save restarts since the first iteration of this adventure I highly doubt it'll happen unless Pete specifically inserts Cambiar as an offscreen character in order to make his appearance possible.
@@antonym4220 I'm pretty sure that the Cold Bog series was on a new world start from the first two series. So it's not actually possible for Cambiar to appear without being edited in deliberately.

I tip my hat to you for the research and disclosure regarding the credibility of PBI before asking for donations. well done. Sick & tired of "NGO"'s that spend donations on salaries for "admin" staff or similar...
I wouldn't ask you to donate to a cause that I wouldn't donate to myself, so that was very important to me. I'm very happy to have found PBI and that their mission fits so well with this series.
I appreciate the sentiment, but you do know that charities take admin to operate? The alternative is having a roster of un-paid volunteers who get burnt out and leave at the first available opportunity, resulting in inefficiencies and poorer charity outcomes. Why would you be upset at low-to-mid paid admin staff having a modest quality of life, over CEOs getting considerably wealthy? It seems such an odd choice.
@@AB-gf4ue Totally understand your point, here is mine: I have been personally involved in various national and international NGOs. My honest opinion: 60-80% of them are corrupt to the core and would not pass basic financial audit if done correctly. Hence I pass on 99% of request for donations- not because I don't believe in the cause but because I don't trust the admins that know whats going on. This is why I commend Pete for the due diligence. Surely 1 overpaid CEO is bad, but 10 admins who get their jobs for connections they have and not ratting out the Cesspool they're in is IMO even worse. Yes I do have a big problem with those low-to-mid paid admin staffers and sadly it comes from 1st hand experience. :(
@spezial-m9146 what's your alternative then? It can't be 'not paying people for their work', or is it? I don't see the link between high level systemic corruption and your particular distaste for low ranking workers.
Pete, your RimWorld content is the only thing getting me through this depression of mine. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being such a unique and warm presence. I can't wait to see your take on Anomaly!
Excellent 1st episode Pete! I adore your Rimworld series so much. I've watched them all. I have severe ADHD and it's one of the few videos I can watch non-stop in a single sitting. I like the idea of Maniac brining everyone to the sea ice to try and get Vullek to leave the group for a more populated area, but Vullek being too invested in the whole Archonexus search to give up.
I thought I was already subscribed after I saw one of your Xcom series, I'm glad that you are still around and making videos and it was just because I wasn't subscribed like I thought as to why I wasn't seeing your videos. I am glad to say I corrected the mistake.

Hey Pete! Consider making this ideoligion a raider one, it would add a nice taste to it, and raiding doesn't have to be frequent, so we can still get the ice sheet experience. Love your videos!
Let me first say I love every second of this, fantastic job with that plan. Question, have you considered running a deep drill without getting anything scanned? Should give you chunks you can use as material.
I'm wondering which of the pawns was the psychopath, that saw the second piece of the arconexus map point to the sea ice and said: "yeah, this is doable, we can do that. We only need to bring 11 advanced components, and then we will murder these neighbors to get their steel and food. Then we are golden... Very excited for this playthrough, rimworld is unfortunately not very interesting to watch on easy biomes, which even more unfortunately happens to be most of them.
A bunch of transhumanist raiders with an affinity for ultratech weaponry living on the ice sheet don't strike me as the type that would, or even could afford to, be sympathetic to one of the only natural food sources on the ice sheet. Maybe if veneration by ingestion is possible.
@@nsmith131 That's something that's always kinda bothered me about how venerated animals work in this game. I did that, too. Normally I do not do this here as tax reductions for donations in Germany allow for higher value when giving to an accredited account. But as I like Pete and I like polar bears, it justified an exception.
What a serious start for the series. Only Pete could approach this with such planning and execution. Considering the gruesome nature of the Anomaly DLC and this colony having sanguophages and stuff, +1 vote for editing in Cambiar as a character. He'd fit right in, tho probably later in the playthrough.
Pretty cool to see the hardcore severity of polar colony survival strike immediately and hard. Also almost felt like the newly un-Boyofied colonists were letting out all the pent-up aggression and itching to be mean after being exclusively nice for so long. Also fun to see Elpis taking after his sister and dragging a whole elephant while only 5. Awesome to see your plan executed essentially perfectly. Also glad that the colony STARTS in high gear already, after all the low-tech and slow-climb-up colonies before. This'll really help facilitate exploring all the fun additions of both Biotech mechs and body modding, and Anomaly's new stuff.
Since YT doesn't seem to allow PayPal donations (at least I didn't see how) and the 250$ goal was already reached and breached (Hell yeah, people!), I donated directly on their website. Very fitting tie-in with going onto the ice sheet. Gotta say though, I *really* wouldn't want to be one of those pawns.
