It's very nice to see this kind of dedication in action. Stop motion is a dying art form in the world of animation and I think it's wonderful that you're trying to keep it alive. Just like good 2D hand-drawn animation, this is a slow, painstaking process. If it took you this long to do that short clip, I can only imagine just how long it takes the likes of Tim Burton, Henry Selick, Nick Park, etc. and their teams to make their movies - true dedication, in all cases.
I would honestly think making an 2D-style animation would take longer then stop motion right? They need to draw each frame for 2D, while stop motion just requires patience and models to do so?
Both are hard but I argues that 2D hand drawn is far harder. You need to draw everything from scratch over and over again. Nowadays its slightly easier by incorporating 3D models inside making random background object and character easier to animate, since people didt really paid attention to them. Its hardly recognizable.

Not really, in December 2022 I remember seeing a Kazuma and a Megumin go for $40 each (I regret not buying those now because at the time, I was still into plush collecting. Hopefully a restock arrives soon)

Stop motion videos get a insane amount of view on TH-cam and hollywood still some times make stop motion films, its not really a dieing art form.
