Great promo, I like that we can see the bike ridden a bit harder in this video than in previous ones. Its great that the bike is unpretentious, useful and versatile.

Hands down best “stress test” so far from all the himalayan video review on youtube. 💪🏼💪🏼

Would love to have a test ride but it seems all the press folks have the available test bikes for long term review so none left for a potential paying customer. I will just wait for the tubeless tyre model to hit the country, assuming there will be one. Congrats to RE, seems you got the Himalayan to be a very good bike now, shame cruise control is omitted as that would have been the icing on the cake.

I agree a test ride would make the waiting a little easier. Ordered one early January still weeks away

@@mynxl Yes, it's pretty hopeless having a formal Australian launch when there are no bikes to see or ride at dealerships. The timing is clearly designed to encourage you getting preorders in before the competition (CF Moto 450 and the new KTM390) land here.

@@nevillegreg1 the Himalayan 450 has been the most pre-ordered motorcycle in our history, and one of the most highly anticipated motorcycles for 2024. While there have been shipping delays due to the challenges of post-COVID logistics, we have been fulfilling our first pre-orders and we should see the latest orders, made after the 1st of April, be delivered in late May.
We have been working as fast as we can to fulfil these orders, so all of the available bikes have been allocated to pre-ordering customers. Please be patient while we deliver those bikes. Once they are fulfilled, floor stocks will arrive.

      @RoyalEnfieldANZ  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Sorry for the wait @mynxl. We have never had so many pre-orders for a motorcycle before, so there is quite a queue to receiving one. Right now we are working as fast as we can to deliver Himalayans to our first orders from December. With your order in January, it is likely to be coming soon.
Hold on, the wait will soon be forgotten when you're taking on a mountain road on your own Himalayan.

Long term reliability will be an determining factor. I know the old one has a great reputation, but there are a lot of new parts to this one.

I don't think that would be an issue. Indian brands can be easily trusted despite their affordability.

Same here. Told mid march when placing my order. Called many times but the dealer had no info. I got an email last week saying the end of may is the first bunch. Now I’m going to get it right in the middle of winter. Great

RE have orders, but are not letting their customers know where their orders are. There was a release of FB saying bikes ordered before Christmas would arrive last week. Rang dealer who said it's weeks away.

Ha, I live 700Km away from their factory here in India, been 2 months after I booked. Dealer said 2months but , the tentative delivery date from RE is somewhere around early august. No update from RE or the official RE dealerships here, So guess how it's gonna be for orders oceans away....

All dealers have been notified of when Himalayan 450s will be arriving, but unfortunately delivery may vary depending on a range of external factors outside of our control. Please know that we are working as fast as possible to fulfill all orders, as we know many people are eagerly awaiting their Himalayan 450 🙏

Good job RE. This is how one should let the actually capable reviewers ride. Gives us a whole new perspective on what the bike is capable of. Now please bring in the cruise control as GMA within the next year. :)

Overall a great bike from all the riders feed back.Big improvement on the out going model. Pity about the air filter being under the tank and not, to me anyway, an easy job to swap.

The bike is surefooted and nimble, but don't take our word for it, watch MAD TV's take. They were there for this ride and their clip opens up on an uphil with loose rocks. th-cam.com/video/Lvee8rpMnUg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Sqg3Z93sUiaM_x9O

What have you guys experienced in terms of the bike pulling to the right? Nearly 50% of Himalayan owners on the Australian Himalayan 450 forum report that their new bike pulls to the right severely, noticeable when hands are off the bars. Other RE models don’t do this. I’m keen to order one, but the odds of a faulty alignment don’t look too promising.

Wow, I keep seeing all the Australian Press rides all over TH-cam, while after laying a deposit down on 26th December with the forecast of a mid-March delivery. Well mid-March past which was OK, then mid-April went by, and now it will soon be mid-May. Getting disappointed as it's quickly getting cool and still wet. Plans for a run-in ride down the coast to my bro's bush block in the Knorrit Forest behind Taree are looking damp and cold & will end up a winter ride & camp.
But hay, still the right bike for me @ 65 just but losing the best time of the year to do it in. And still no word on things like Tour seat and sump/engine guards, a must-have. My Birthday pressie is losing its glee.
Sorry to be bitching & I know it's out of the control of Dealers & even the Importers, but better heads-up would have been nice without me having to spend time chasing it up.
PS: I spent my life as an Elec Contractor, customers like it if they know you might be late or even can't get there till tomorrow or even next week. They get pissed if you're just a no-show. It's about building customer relationships. Communication. Please take this as reasonable feedback.

@@RoyalEnfieldANZ I went through that 4 weeks ago, my order was confirmed and was told by a RE rep on the phone that it was on its way up the coast to TeamMoto Varginia, QLD. Allow 2 weeks transport and 3-4 days for the Dealer to prep it. It has been the absence of communication from the dealer, even after at least three Ph call to them, & only received a "I'll find out who your sales rep is, and he will get back to you" Shane Channells
