Jeb, I know you probably won't read this, but you don't know how grateful I am. This movie has been very important in my life, because it made me fall in love with cinema and ALSO made me want to be a filmmaker. At this moment, I'm writing my first projects, and I swear to Dieu I just can't imagine my life without this film. And now, my favorite YT content creator [I know you hate being called a ''youtuber''] makes a video about it. Thank you so much! Big hugs to you and everyone else at the MEF House!
I had to study this movie in my university film class years ago. I had to write two papers, and participate in a class discussion about this movie. You made it so much better! Thank you!
I am begging you Sir, one southern man (I am assuming bassed solely apon your accent, sorry if I got it wrong) to another. Please, for the love of the virgin Mary do a video on O' Brother where art Thou? Hearing you put your own spin on a childhood favorite of mine would put a big smile on my face! P.S. Keep up the good work. I watched this movie with my grandma when I was young. (Too young) And I appreciate the amount of effort you put in.
Second movie from Hitchcock explained for "hopeless romantics". I kind of understand why, that guy put a lot of his own creepiness in his films (blonde fetish anyone?).
I've never seen this movie before, but I do remember a certain reference of it. Animaniacs: YW&D standing over a cliff. "Do you get vertigo?" "Nope." "Me neither." "Yeah, I saw that movie three times and I still don't get it." After watching this, I think I can safely say, that's normal. Jeb's the best there is at explaining stuff like this, and I could still barely follow. This movie was made to cause confusion. Also, at the time I started writing this the counter said there were 15 Comments, but there were 32 by my count.
I saw an interview with him talking about this movie and, Bell, Book and Candle whom he worked with Kim Novak as well. He was feeling uncomfortable about playing a character at his age being with a character so much younger. I believe Bell, Book and Candle was the last time he played a romantic lead. It was to creepy to him.
Avatar (the Pandora version) explained for tree-huggers. This was very very well done, Overboard is still one of my favourite MEF Keep them coming, I love you too muffin
BLESS YOU, JEB! I have ALWAYS hated Vertigo because I find it too ridiculous, plus I think Kim Novak is an AWFUL actress, LOL. But THIS commentary makes the film entertaining and easier to digest, plus its sweet, short and to the dumb point. THANK YOU. 🤣😂😛
@@tarawalker7193 really? Oh darn. I recently came across his videos, and binged them all at once. That might have been one taken down. I bet it was great..thanks for letting me know
Jeb I just became a new subscriber to your channel and I have to tell you please never stop making videos you have made me laugh so much during a hard time in my life and I thank you for that. Your fantastic!! Keep up the good work!!
@@katemaloney4296 Actually, it was $17.50. That amount was not scripted, but was changed by Frank Capra to get Jimmy Stewart's reaction. In fact, it surprised him so much in real life that it caused him to kiss her. That was a real, genuine, honest-to-goodness reaction on Jimmy's part! 😚
What the heck was that ending??? Weird place to end it Can you do Blair Witch Project Or 1948 Monkey’s Paw Or The Witches (with Jasen Fisher, Mai Zetterling, and Anjelica Huston) Or 1945 The Body Snatchers Please Love you 😘
Before we begin lemme' start by sayin', if you haven' watched 'The Wraith', you was raised wrong. The stars of our movie today are: the son of the guy who made a movie which this movie definitely didn't rip-off.
As we approach the true festive season called Halloween, maybe it's time we get to some flicks from the darkside. Dracula(1931), Frankenstein(1931), Black Sabbath(1963), The Exorcist(1973), The Omen(1976), The Shining(1980).
I can't watch a Hitchcock movie or even AH Presents tv episode without yellin' "I see you creepin' Alfred!"

Yes, I love it when you're doing Hitchcock movies. Is there a playlist for it? Explain more, please. Please Explain Rear Window and Sunset Boulevard 📽
Oooo Sunset Boulevard YES!!!
I think he did both, just have to do a bit of a search with the way these TH-cam channels are so poorly sorted 🤔
@@rachelgarber1423 I've already seen his Explanation for Psycho and The Birds, and now Vertigo.
@@noam7804 it isn't, I know. It's Billy Wilder's movie. I was just asking Jeb to Explain the movie along with other Hitchcock films.

Please never stop doing this.
Jimmy Stewart was straight up creepy in this movie.
he's a great actor, he can play characters who are fun, likeable but also creepy.
