I fully understand. I was forced to level up by a chic like you. I was a depressed alcoholic when I met her. She made me snap out of the spell I had been under for years! God works in mysterious ways. And I'm convinced He has a sense of humor 😏...she wasn't even my type, yet I still fell in love with her. I had to listen for a while. I was in love with some one and a third party helped ruined it. I can't blame it all on the person though. I was in such pain all I could do was work on myself, so I went back to school and earned a degree. Saddest part is, we all grew up together and one friend became jealous of the other. I didn't know what it all meant either it took me awhile to figure it out myself and when i did i started reaching back out to him. We spoke all last year. But kept it platonic we were both married to other people. In January i let him know i felt like there was something more between us but wasn't sure how he felt.
