I challenge all “ tankers” to name one team which tanked and benefited from doing so. Secondly, tell me how many teams have won a chip, and lastly, how many teams have more than one. Play to win. It took years to win our chip, add to that deft and timely trading. It didn’t happen overnight. Even coach Casey who ushered in the “ pound the Rick” era, never made it to the promised land. Let the kids play Go Raptors Go
Thank God you guys understand that development matters, and that means winning to a certain extent. People who pull for the all-out tank just don't fully understand statistical probabilities.
You all do realize that if you trade Brown, Boucher and even Jakob or Olynyk and play younger players they will play hard learn more of each other’s tendencies and still lose while build winning habits…. Can be a bottom 6 team and still get a very vital piece to add to the core.. and if you trade the above players you may even get another to add… it’s a really deep draft… it’s not like you have to give away the farm to get a high pick.
I think you're overlooking how good the top 5 are in this draft class and how much Raps could get as sellers, Olynyk, Brown, Mitchell, and Boucher could convert to some low first-round picks.
I agree the top 5 of the draft class is tantalizing, but wouldn't that make it harder to get 1st-rd picks in return? If it's a concenus deep class, I'd expect more teams wanting to hold their picks. Plus, with the new second-apron stuff, middle-class contracts in the NBA are harder to stomach so less market for them. Bruce and Davion (RFA) are on expiring deals and will be rentals or need to be paid. And given Olynyk and Boucher's age/limitations I'm not totally sold on being able to get 1sts in return. Totally get your perspective for sure but it feels dicey given tanking, especially vs. the bottom-barrell squads, doesn't guarantee any of those top prospects. - Zulfi
i dont think armchair GMs understand what "Tanking" means. all it does is underminds the winning culture you need. flagg on a loosing team, is still a loosing team. you doing a great job on these, keep it up boys

For me, I don't like tanking. I say we play like we want to win and see how it goes. We are on the right track.
