NYX has been the drug store brand that I get most excited about. I think they are consistent and innovative.

Agree with you about NYX and Iconic London. Everything I have tried from both brands has been good quality and well priced. I am a luxury girl but I enjoy Iconic’s complexion products!
I get a pedicure once a month but sometimes I skip a couple months in the winter and do it myself, as for my nails that’s a lost cost I can’t stay consistent there just just not as important to me personally.
I have a very small eyeshadow palette collection but lately I've been feeling like I've seen everything too. Yay for new perspective

@BeautyAndTheFrizz I can't imagine. I'm easily overwhelmed so too many would stress me out and I'd use nothing. When I started back into makeup. I dedicated a drawer to shadows. That's all the space I'm giving myself. If I decided I need more, I need to get rid of something
I do my own nails and love it. Collecting nail polish can get like collecting makeup so beware, lol. My tried and true method is Essie here to stay base coat, 2 coats of color, then Essie gel setter top coat. My fingers stay painted at least a week, 2-3 weeks on my toes!
Really???? I may have some Essie Polish but not the base coat….. I have to try it!!!
Those Catrice blushes look great. Ive only tried their concealer, and its a luxury texture. It could easily be at Sephora. Were they fail for me is the ingredients. Need to check. The Tower 28 powder has my name on it. Def getting that

May you have a great start to your new job. Do you think the ALT Fragrance Cherry Smash is the same as Crystal Smash? They smell very similar. I love Cherry Smash.
The Sand+Fog Perfume Oils are sold at Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I have seen some of these fragrances there for anyone interested to see in person. They are very fragrant.
Charlotte Tilbury's palette looks nice. I agree that she needs to continue creation of the longer version of her palettes. They are so pretty to purchase during the holidays.
You can do by brands, colors or finishes for the lip products. August has a new job title as Promoter or Announcer. :) He is full-time. He is going to do well in business or styling. Does he say what he wants to do for his dream job?

In my humble opinion Ariana Grande’s fragrances smell very similar….not sure if I will purchasing any of her new line of fragrances. I want to try the Nest Madagascar Vanilla body mist but I need a little self control on fragrance buy 😬😬❤️

I agree about NYX. I think they are better than ELF for drug store makeup when i just want to buy something new. The bronzers are lovely and I’m interested in the blushes too once fall rolls around.
Jordan Chiles wears Fenty too. She did a grwm for vogue. She’s a makeup lover and uses a mix of high end and drugstore. I love her makeup, she’s so expressive

Please let us enjoy every moment that the kids interrupt and want to hang with Moms because lord knows they grow up too quick and in a few years, we won’t see them wanting to do pop ups because they will be too grown🤣🤣. I feel you about perfumes as I have allergies and continuous runny eyes and nose all year round. So when I find a brand that doesn’t activate allergies I pretty much stick to them.
I bought some singles from Sidney Grace during the sale, I just love SG, and I use my singles more than palettes right now. Besides the SG singles, BB Botanical, and Adept Legend of ardra, staying on the low buy.
Hold out, everyone. Fall season is soon! Brands should be dropping some sweet 🎨
I might be the only one but I didn't like the Fenty bronzer, powder, and foundation, so Fenty is off the List!
The L'Oreal liquid blushes are very good and they need more shades and under 15 dollars, my favorite blush find of the year!
How are the shimmers from Adept? I love SG ones because they are so opaque and smooth. Are theirs like that too?

Looking forward to Nomad's reveal. They always do great fall/Halloween palettes. Nothing has caught my eye as far as makeup other than Melt lippie in Pumpkin.
I found that my brand for special shades is Devinah. And while I've window shopped other brands, I am happy with their formula.
Also Nyx is a hit for me on most of their products. I finished their Bare With Me concealer recently and thinking of repurchasing it. I'm also enjoying their new Buttermelt Blush and the Bare With Me Blur foundation. And I also like their eyeliner and lip products. I've gone through so many Butter Glosses lol.

@@BeautyAndTheFrizz I do want to try their bronzer. I'm almost finished with my current one, so I think I'll try it next. Also, I will say from reviews that the foundation I'm using is better for oily/combo skin. Hope you like the concealer!!
Yeah, I haven't come across any duds from NYX. I don't have holy grail products from them (the great contenders for those spots break me out, like the brow mascara), but everything so far performs ok.
I did find some of the sand & fog oils yesterday at tj max, I can’t wait to use them with my matching fragrances so excited. We just got power today since Tuesday evening so 🙄so excited to be back in my home.

I’m with you on the melt cream blushes. They are my fav and also I bought a cream blush from Bossy Cosmetics and it’s mind blowing! The formula is easy to blend, feels like a super luxury cream. Only negative , its packaging is crap. But it’s more affordable and it lasts for AGES
I started exploring makeup in my 20s with luxury brands because they were the only ones who had complexion products with different undertones I could get away with. I think most of them aren't worth the price unless you're looking at a specific formula (or a shade) that helps you get a result EASILY.
Drugstore brands are just as good these days, especially those that are owned by big groups (some L'Oréal Paris mascaras could be dupes of Lancôme, which is owned by the L'Oréal group).
I love a lot of Nyx products (especially the Bare with Me concealer, the fat oil, the dewy setting spray, and the sweet cheeks blushes) and I can't wait to try out their new buttermelt collection.
I recently bought the Sydney Grace Love's Journey (I also picked up the new Southern Spring and Heaven on Earth on the sale) because I saw a lot of people raving about it. The hype is real because it's the only brand that shows up on me regardless of how I apply it (primer isn't necessary, I can use my fingers if I want to). Blends Bunny is a close second. Fantasy Cosmetica is third. Glamshop is my go-to for impactful shimmers.
I don't have a big collection but I'm okay with where I'm at now. I don't want more eyeshadows, and I'm doing my best to hold on until Black Friday for any base products.
I'm excited for the What's Up Beauty palette because I loved the dragon's eye palette but it's so similar to what I already have that I didn't get it. I'm trying to keep my makeup goblin in check though because I can name like five brands off the top of my head where I'll be hotly anticipating their fall and holiday releases. That being said, if I bought something from each of them for both seasons that's like $500 and 10 palettes.
As far as I'm concerned, the Basic Witch palette is head and shoulders above everything in terms of quality, then new Unearthly, then everything else is about the same or worse. I've really narrowed down the textures I like in shimmers, so I'm doing a lot better at not buying things that I will immediately regret (like knowing my measurements when I order clothes).
I moved mid July and that really broke me of doing a full face of makeup, and I haven't felt like buying non eyeshadow in a while. Same for skincare.
With nail polish, I've found that the only way I can get myself to use it is if I have a fast drying top coat because I'm super impatient.

Re: higher vs lower priced makeup. I consider higher end to be good for me when I'm looking for a particular shade or nuance (eg I found the exact purple cream blush that I had been wanting from Kulfi) or for specific brand aesthetics (eg Unearthly). Everyday or common colorways like red lipstick you don't have to spend a lot for quality
Moira is a cute brand. I have a bunch of their single pot eyeshadows across the different formulas they offer and a couple of their cream blushes and some other things I have t tried their face products except a water proof setting powder that didn’t wow me. They have a great price point and I found their quality for the eyeshadows very good. I made one order in 2022 (I think) from Touch of Glam. I don’t find the. To be worth the price or the long shipping time I also feel like they screw you on shipping costs. I think the shadows are good quality not er priced. I don’t feel good about their pricing the brand just does not sit well with my soul so I will never order from them again
I bought the longing palette along with the forget me not since it was $20. And i shopped from give me glow because their lip liners were $1 and i got their pumpkin palette. Im done!! Til black friday lolll
I would love to see your lipsticks. By brand initially makes sense but a follow up video with your top 5 or 10 of any brand would also be fun!
If I get more singles, I'll place them in a picture frame and hang them on the wall. I think that would be fun. I saw someone do a diy about that a while ago. I'd have to lay them out in a thoughtful manner too. For me it's all the colors jumbled up in a plain, opaque palette that just doesn't inspire me to use it much.
I adore touch of glam. Never had any issues and I have a decent sized collection of their singles

I haven't gotten a pedicure in 7 years . They hurt my feet . I have real bad sciatica and my foot burns from spinal damages . So I paint them every two weeks myself

Since you’re getting into the drugstore world, for brushes, I’ve had my elf & wet n wild brushes for YEARS! Since the beginning of my makeup journey (10 years now) & the brushes barely wavered! Wet n wild holds up better than 10 year old elf tbh tho.
Talking about drugstore… nyx always catches me off guard & idk why either 😩 fave drugstore brand is maybelline but i love nyx’s glosses & i just got the concealer too! As a powder, no liquid/creams person.. i enjoy it! We need to give em their credit! Altho i heard the eyeshadows are not as great as the rest of the brand.
Also, i do my own pedi every two weeks (can push to 3 sometimes) and i dont do manis bcus they need more attention/touch ups and they scream for it in your face daily lol but i also dont do gel on my nails.. a clear, nourishing polish on my natural nails has been a nice clean look for me.

I'm not watching the Olympics. I was shocked to see a man punching a woman in the boxing matches. I later learned the details of the issue (that he was intersex to some degree, but of course mostly male, which was plain to see, with XY chromosomes) but it just turned me off completely. Then my catholic mom showed me part of the opening where they made a mockery out of the last supper... idk I'm just turned off. They can mock any religion they like somewhere else, who thought that was fit for the olympics?
