Sony, Playstation, and Insomniac Games have just announced the release date for the highly-anticipated update: March 7th, 2024. I was expecting a mission where symbiot spider man has to save Jameson and obviously is hesitant about it , it would have been this big moment where Jonah realizes that he took the old spider man for granted
I genuinely wish they had taken more time to make this game cuz MAN, everything after peter took the symbiote off felt SO rushed it was geniunely disappointing to see happen. Im a huge fan of insomniac's spiderman (it's my fav spiderman) and I believe it could've been better even though it's already amazing.
That's exactly what they were doing until Sony decided to do their usual meddling and rush them to get the game released instead of letting them take their time to make the best possible experience for the fans.
@@milesmorales-intothespider9861 exactly, and the funny thing is you can SEE it in the game. The first act was insane and then second act was also amazing and more fleshed out and then the third was done dirty when I feel like it was the most important one
@Itsanasmusic If Sony had actually given insomniac the time to complete the game or delay it until 2024, it would've been so much better and fleshed out the cut content leaks definitely show the insomniac had the right ideas gameplay and story wise but weren't give enough time

I hate how everyone just blatantly hates insomniac for this when the EXACT SAME SITUATION happened with Spider-Man 3 and TASM 2, and yea I know it’s a different thing with movies and games, but everyone blames Sony already for those movies and yet some people just love to hate insomniac for the game, even tho they were the one’s to make the first (and best) Spider-Man video game trilogy
I think the reason alot of these ideas were cut was because they wanted to make it more like it was the venom symbiote in control with Harry going along with it because he knew the symbiote would heal him and it was warping his perspective on things; while the concept art makes it seems like it was more Harry in control with the symbiote’s influence.
One of the concept arts of Venom almost looked like symbiote Vulture from the Web Of Shadows Spider-Man game.
I feel like if they were to do a more horror spider-man game, it would be with Carnage rather than Venom, but idk

I feel like they did this ‘family friendly’ aspect to get more sales so they can make the venom game more into a horror game vibe
"Not having enough time" to finish the game isn't a good enough excuse considering they cut Spidey content for the sole purpose of having more "MJ" gameplay because apparently in Bryan Intehars words "we needed her story" yes cause we really needed an MJ story in a SPIDER-MAN GAME.
The concept art of venom look so unsettling. It looks unnatural and weird. I Almost get a sense of cosmic horror from it. I honestly love it and wish we could’ve seen some of that
I’m surprised no one called false advertising on the final trailer for the game. You’re supposed to have the final boss battle through the streets like we’ve always wanted but that’s not what happens. It’s a closed off area with invisible walls. Again.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 needs a director's cut because a lot of the content was cut from this game. The gameplay and combat was good and all, but the story I'll give it a solid 6/10, it wasn't the best. People said that this game was suppose to be 2 times longer than Marvel's Spider-Man 1, what they should have said was that Marvel Spider-Man 2 is 2 times shorter than Marvel's Spider-Man 1 because that's what it fells like. The story is a 6/10 because they cut most of the content from the story. We were suppose to get more Venom action in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, but there was about 90% of Venom content that was removed from the game. What they need to add in the director's cut if they make director's cut is all the content that was cut from this game and to have a complete story of the the game. We all know that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 needs a director's cut, so lets hope for the best.
100% I’d pay another $40 or even $60 if we were to get something like this.
Not sure how true but I heard that most of the dialogue Tony Todd recorded weren’t all used in the game

1. Deleted scenes as it seems venom was supposed to have way more content in SM2
2. A Venom game as leaks have shown that it’s in the works.
3. The cancelled great web game as we know Venom was going to be playable and apart of that game.

Hopefully Spider-Man 3 will be better than both Spider-Man 1 and 2, I was a little disappointed because Spider-Man 2 had so much potential to be an even better game. More time and interactions with Peter in the black suit, more time with kraven, Harry, venom even Norman to set up Spider-Man 3. ( sidenote I think Harry should've died at the end of the game to give even more reason for Norman to get revenge) Really hope Sony doesn't rush Insomniac just for a garenty cash grab, but I'm confident Spider-Man 3 will be the best superhero game ever made. The game overall was good solid 8.5/10, but Bryan Interhar ( sorry if I butchered the name) stated they were rushed by Sony

I think they changed the story a lot because it would probably be too dark and probably would earn the game a rated M age rating which they didn't want to go for but wanted to get as close to rated M as possible but not to rated M.
Well they would have won an award 💯 they should worry about making the game good.

After seeing some of the scrapped images, I hope someone makes a video of what PS5 Spider-Man 2 could have been. Or what we have in the finalized version, but better.
I have a feeling the Daily Bugle mission would’ve been the original version of the Scream boss fight. Considering how much MJ hates Jonah by the end of the game & how MJ doesn’t interact with the Symbiotes outside of the Scream boss fight & the final mission. I could see the Scream fight being repurposed to where MJ gets the Scream Symbiote & in her rage tries to kill JJJ & as Peter you have to stop her by trying to get the Symbiote off her of her before she becomes the kind of monster she’d report on.
Those Venom concepts looks absolutely HORRIFYING. All of these concept arts look incredible. Definitely would have benefitted going much darker than what we got in the final game. The final game itself is amazing, but seeing all these concept arts makes me realize that this could have been so much better.
My favorite scene is where harry is making everyone into symbiotes right in front of his mothers grave!
as much as I love the game we got (although i feel it needed another mission or two of Peter in the symbiote and another 2 or 3 missions in the Venom half of the story) I think I would’ve preferred what they were going for in the concept art
I wish they implemented all of the venom concept art i love it and i love the venom design mainly because it reminds me of the web of shadows venom which is one of my favourite takes of venom and also my favourite spiderman game.

6:28 Hear me out. Miles has Li pinned down, and he starts beating him down BUT! With each punch, it briefly flashes to when Phin was punching Miles in Miles Morales during the final battle. He realizes what he was doing and backed off, seeing as he was almost being like Phin, revenge seeking and all.
Dude we’re gonna be having some DLC’s later on in the future and practically maybe we’ll have a venom DLC

I really could see these ideas being implemented into the rumoured Venom game. Maybe more of a story based game rather than open world. Like the Guardians one.

See, I believe the reason why we didn’t see half of this stuff in the actual finish game is because of sweet baby overlooking the game. I believe Peter wouldn’t have been as week if it wasn’t for them, trying to push the new generation since they are moving to have miles as their main Spider-Man, but at the same time they didn’t have to make Peter NERFED. Also, I wanted to point out that their window date for October being the release date was not what they attended out for us. I believe it was supposed to drop in the beginning of 2024 or in December.
But for whatever reason they released in October
If you want to make a huge game, take your time, don’t rush it and consider always making updates to it!
I hope Spider-Man 3 won't suffer the same fate.
I hope agent venom aka flash and Gwen and Eddie and silk and spider punk is introduced in the rumoured venom game and becomes agent venom,spider punk and spider woman and silk and are all playable in spider man 3

I would love to see stuff like this but some people out there are just too sensitive they won’t be able to handle it even though they don’t have to buy it but it wouldn’t be enough for them. Some will move on, but others make a problem over it.
While the version we got is great but definitely could have been better. Especially seeing those concept art. It would have been extra dark and little over the top. But at least in the one we got also has dark and bit of horror elements like Kraven getting decapitated by Venom, symbiote Peter and MJ chase, etc.
To be fair, every piece of media has concept art showcasing how better it could have been. Like last we saw was few concept art for No Way Home and while it's a great movie, still has missed opportunities.

tbh the game is great. and i do like sm1 and mile morales game. but sm2 feels like a DLC ain't gonna lie, everything is great. but the drama is missing... like me personally didn't feel any sort of emotion while playing the game. it does hit a spot for a bit... but the game feels.. super safe. still a great game and fun ofc.. solid 7,8

when i first saw the opening clip of harry and norman it was scary asf, but that was the scariest part of the whole game, so yea i wished they went darker honestly the game feels rushed but it’s still an amazing game
Hopefully theres a directors cut of the game to give us all of this. I still love sm2 and think they did the best they could while being rushed by sony
i do think sony forced insomniac games to make this game have a lighter tone and be more kid friendly. correct me if i'm wrong but im pretty sure i saw an interview a while back with Bryan Intihar and he addressed this.

So, after watching this my conclusion is that they had the game of the year on their hands and then just looked at the trash bin on the side of the desk and threw away this concepts arts and the hole idea of the game instead of what we got. " Small mistake " I guess. Maybe next time dont let the trainee enter the room, or sony/marvel/investors.

The third game needs blood and the animated spectacular Spider-Man suit with underarm wings and hopefully in the venom game we get a spectacular Spider-Man venom suit for venom
maybe like the SV suits the Spectacular suits will be designed and animated like the show
People blamed insomniac but the blame really goes to the publishers they rush the developers to put stuff out faster for a faster return on investment basically they’re impatient to get their money back not realizing they are stopping themselves from making more money than ever by taking their time and the developers need the publishers money so they can make great games so it’s a problem that is hard to fix since there is a lot of greed in the gaming industry

These concept arts definitely confirm that Sweet baby inc completely destroyed the potential success of this game with their “woke” narrative and ESG scores as these concepts definitely feel more align with the first game’s story/ writing style and tone than the copy and past of the first two games plots but different villains and different Spider Man media inserted in as fan service, Peter being nerfed so he’s incompetent, Miles and Mj being OP and have to rescue Peter and all the forces modern day politics that showed down our throats.

I hated the fact that the trailer showed them struggling to fight venom. Only for it to somewhat look like a piece of cake because of how rushed the game was. Then Miles got no love lol so the people who really wanted miles to be more apart of story never got that opportunity.

Spider-Man 3 needs to drop the babby part of the game and go darker. Even the symbiote parts were childish and toned down.

Seeing this makes me very disappointed in the game. The ending should have been longer and set up with Harry and his father being pushed apart.
Simply put YES the concept art would have been far better then what we got They where cut because sbi disapproved it because they are in charge of Marvel's Spider-man 2 naritive which is why the games story was Dog shit
And they need to put MJ as she originally was which is a girl inspiring to be a model the whole reporter thing is attractive on Lois Lane but not on MJ in my humble opinion
Hot take, but looking back after a couple months Spider-Man 2 was really mid and nothing special story wise. The gameplay was a definite improvement from the first two, but Spider-Man 2018 had a better storyline.
