It’s not a boring resort at all. There are live shows every night even for kids. And the pools are nice. The water park is decent. Plenty of food and drinks all day long if you like to sit by the pool and eat. The rooms don’t have good wifi signal. The wifi works best in the lobby and outside. Very noisy every other night because they have the Riu parties(I didn’t sleep well). The town is very touristy so be ready to bargain. Downtown is full of souvenir shops and the bay has lots of restaurants and water sports and boat excursions. Walmart is a five minute drive from the hotel and the taxi drivers are very friendly. There is an American outlet mall connected to it as well. It’s pretty safe there since the town is basically a tourist town. I hear people coming back from night clubs in the middle of the night so it’s pretty safe although I wouldn’t want to stay out too late and stray away from downtown. Ask your Uber driver for the cheapest pharmacies as some in the downtown will charge you double. Just go to Walmart to be honest. As for food, it’s practically different every day. So there is a lot to choose from.
Cabo San Lucas is very touristy. It's full of American tourists and is catered to American people. It's relatively safe and easy to get a taxi. People are friendly. Young adults go out to the clubs at night and I haven't heard anything bad happen. But you always should stick to your traveller instincts, if it looks sketchy, don't go there. I think as long as you're in the resort towns you're safe. If you're thinking if swimming in the ocean, you might want a different resort. The beaches at this part of Mexico are too dangerous to swim in due to the large waves. But there are many pools for swimming. Thanks for watching!
@@skblarge I think it was about $10 USD to down town. $5 to the Walmart. You better make a deal with the unmarked taxi outside the hotel gates and keep their contact info. We used the same driver almost every time. The hotel can also call you the city taxi which charges more.
Far too dangerous at the hotel. But there is one closer to the city. Also if you go on a boat excursion they have a private spot for swimming where they will bring you. The currents are still very strong for kids.
