@@thehimer3903 Yamaha certainly designed it with more programmability and control than meets the eye. A sheer labyrinth of potential! Makes me think there must have been some SY series-compatible midi controller on the drawing board that never made it to final release... It would be fun to do some digging and find out!
Thank you. I recently bought the TG77 because it is a very underrated synth, and one day, people will understand how valuable it is...
Even the sequencer!? Incredible. The SY77 really is nearly limitless with its modulation options.
Love this machine.
Sometimes I think they intended their sysex implementation to be used to a massive extent

Wow! It's amazing that after more than 30 years there are new techniques to do amazing sounds with this beast. Thank you, The Himer.
The SY never gets old
@@thehimer3903 it's my favorite synth.
Mine too. But it took me some years to realise its potential
@badass taco that´s always a problem ;-D

Someone who uses system exclusive messages as a remote control deserves a loyal admiration.

Cool trick thanks for sharing. This thing is heavy and a bit menu divey but it sounds great. Heck I even like the 80s drum kits on the SY77.
You may check out my other video on the SY as a drum machine 😅
it would be curious to try to record Sys ex on multiple channels at the same time in multi mode and see if the machine holds up
Well i bet it cant handle very much data. but it might be fun to try
Wow sequenced modulation in 1989!!
It's a pity the sequencer is not loopable.
Well in case of patterns you can loop them.
@@thehimer3903 Luckily yes🙂
