- The Tennessee Titans took two dart throws in the seventh round of the NFL Draft on versatile athletes. First, James Williams out of Miami, who will be converting from safety to linebacker. Williams displays a physicality to his game while also being incredibly versatile. Jaylen Harrell has great football character and straight line speed with the ability to develop his technique.

interesting to see that james williams(7th round) and kam chancellor(5th round)have similar draft profiles not saying he will be close to kam but there athletic profiles are very similar
He was the first ex player that came to mind when we drafted this guy.
Yep you can see why. today's NFL just faster though so he will have to be a LB.
Williams would have been a day 2 pick if it wasn't for the overall up and down season from the Miami defense. It wasn't all him, his partner in crime who still got drafted in the 3rd round (Kam Kinchens) after going down halfway through the season. Him and Kinchens side by side when healthy were very much Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor like. Best safety duo in NCAAF at one point.
