I don't know why people keep saying AP sounds just like Steve, nothing could be farther from the truth. Steve Perry will always be the best, the voice of Journey.
The best thing about watching Journey in concert was that they were almost better live than just their records. And you know why?? Watching Steve Perry on stage perform the fantastic fresh music. Visual.
He has the voice the whole package even now today he he has the voice the looks he is down to earth you can tell he enjoy the simple things in life thank you steve for your beautiful self everything that you are handsome man
He was late 27 to late 30s when he fronted Journey. I have been watching all these live shows on yt. I saw them live when I was 12ish. I don't even rem the other bandmates I was just in awe of SP. I wish now that I could rem seeing NS play guitar. I am glad these guys didn't get famous at age14 like groups do today because that maturity shows up in the songs and their on stage charisma. And mostly what I love about this group is there is never rude/lude gesturing. Like the idiots making the V-sign with wagging tongue. That is so cringe and childish, esp when 30yr olds are doing it. These guys have always led with their talent. The way Lights transitions at 2:59 into SA (my fav J song) makes me cry it is full of emotion.
