Drum&Bass is life,,,,, its been 20 years since i was last djing on the radio and the lock down has got me mixing once again. forgot how much i loved to mix drum and bass.
I think we can all agree that 2019 has been a vintage year for our beloved drum & bass. So many corkers on this mix, but the Hybrid Minds v Koven track on the outro is one of the most heart-stopping tracks ever..
It now November 2020 getting close to the end of the year, and I really hope UKF makes a D&B 2020 album for us to get physically or digitally! I miss that a lot, last one we had was in 2017. 2020 has been one of the best years for D&B!
This Mix kicked me right back into my 'mostly listening to DnB' Phase. Was only occasionally listening, in the last few Years, since i was flirting with my other big love - techno. But its great to be back and discover so many new tracks (well... 'new' for me).
I was enjoying this mix so much during lockdown in my country, and it gave me enough motivation to start running longer and faster everyday, trying to keep up the pace for one more song. Now it is filled with ads, which makes it pure garbage.
I can draw conclusions in 2022 - music sounds better before the virus. In my opinion, yearmix in 2019 is the best of the last four years: 2018 2019 2020 and 2021 as well.

What a year for Drum and Bass! Hope it becomes more popular next year, especially out here in southern Germany. I feel like the problem with DNB is that a good amount of people do not know it. I went to a festival with a bunch of friends this year who all only listened to techno or house and i decided to take them to the DNB Stage. They listen to DNB now. LOL
2019 has been an amazing year! Shame they did not make an album this year either! If this was an album I consider this to be my second favorite UKF D&B album. A lot of great tracks here! Shame Solar System, IWY, Daggers, All I want, and Airwaves did not make it! I definitely will make a playlist of my top UKF D&B tracks of 2019!
