Hello Liesl! I love that you shared your struggle with us, although I’m so sorry that happened to you. How frustrating that must have been. I can certainly understand why you wanted to put it away from you for a while! Hugs! 🤗💕 Your composition is gorgeous! I’m so glad you painted it a second time! 😊 I appreciate that you share your love of watercolor with all of us so freely! We've learned so much from you each week! You not only share your talent, but you even encourage us to experiment and give us tips and share your techniques too! Just remember that we're cheering you on, even if we aren’t in the room with you as you paint and come up with new ideas, sketches and compositionsI You're a jewel! I’m so grateful for you!
❤️❤️❤️ Oh Laina… I know I’ve said this before, but it’s still true, what would I do without you?! You are just always positive, kind, and encouraging, (and I’m sure you share these characteristics with many other people in your life as well!) You are a true treasure in this world. 💕 Blessings to you my friend, I hope you have a terrific weekend. Take care!
Good morning beautiful Liesl! It is Thursday and Liesl is painting beautiful bluebell flowers and how lovely is your painting! ❤ I really enjoyed the technique you used to paint them! It is so delicate and vibrant! Thank you Helene
Happy Thursday Helene! I hope you’re doing well. 🥰 I’m glad you liked this painting and I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to watch. Take care and happy painting! ❤️
This is wonderful to watch as the paper, water, pigments (or intentional lacks thereof), brushes, shapes, all meld and merge and delineate into a very grand piece. So talented you are with brush in hand. And your voiceover is gently, albeit firmly, encouraging. The back-story is very much appreciated, too. As is the music, composed and played by you. Thank you.
Aww, Stephanie…. I have to say, you are very good with words! Your comment reads like a poem! Truly lovely. I appreciate your kindness more than you know. ❤️ I hope you have a terrific weekend! Take care my friend.
I am watching this video a second time. And, as of earlier today, independent of this second video watching, I have sketched a freehand-drawn version of the flowers and leaves but with three (instead of 5) flowers, in order to explore masking fluid for the first time, and to practice more pigment and water and brush control. Watching the tutorial again for this piece, yes, the description of the uncertainty regarding the piece's unfolding is very very meaningful. The sharing of that vulnerability encourages this watercolor neophyte. I also look forward to attempting the more transparent version of the same painting (which I found to be more intriguing than the one with masking fluid). Thank you so much for sharing so many nuances of your talent, including that of composing and playing lovely musical scores.
I’m so glad you’re going to give this a try Stephanie. 🥰 I hope you have fun painting it! I really enjoyed painting it both ways. I appreciate your support very much, Thank you. 💕 Happy painting my friend. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you for sharing your struggle with this painting. When I watch you paint you make it look so easy, good to know it's not always. I appreciate you and your calm demeanor teaching style!!!!
Thank you for your comment today Beverly. 🥰 Yes, even I make mistakes and have struggles sometimes! I think it’s important for people to know that. 😉 Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to watch. Take care and happy painting!
@@lieslsartisticstudio I wonder if there's anything to slow drying time for water color painting like there is for acrylic paint? I live in New Mexico & the water almost dries immediately. We have almost no humidity! Even running a humidifier doesn't help! Our annual rain fall is about 13 inches and most of that is during July. I've never seen any mentioned in lessons. TIA Deb
@@debpaolucciojanomethreadar2357 Hmmm… 🤔 well, I am not sure if I can be of much help… at the moment I don’t have any tips to help keep it wet longer, but I’ll keep my eyes and ears open about that, I’m sure you’re not the only one with a problem like that. You may need to try just painting more wet on dry paintings rather than wet on wet. 🤷♀️ Thank you for watching today, I wish you the best of luck with your paintings. ❤️
Thank you Liesl for this beautiful painting tutorial. I jumped over to Etsy and picked up the package and cannot wait to get started!!! I love your painting style. Your voice is very calming as well.
Oh yay! I’m so glad you’re going to give this a try! 🥰 I hope you have fun painting it. I appreciate your support very much, Thank you. 💕 Happy painting!
Thank you for persisting with this one Liesel, it is probably my favourite, I love bluebells and you have really picked up the gorgeous colouring and loved your tutorial. And... your beautiful music in the background is so calming ❤
Oh yay! I’m so happy to hear you liked this! 🥰 I’m glad I persisted too, in the end I was very pleased with how it turned out. Thank you so much for your kind comment. ❤️ It’s always a joy to hear from you. Take care!
Aww, 🥰 you are so sweet. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely comment, It means a lot to me. I’m so happy you enjoyed the tutorial and I wish you all the best in your watercolor journey! Take care and happy painting! 💕
Absolutely gorgeous! So you've had to paint this 3 times now? Do you get tired of painting the same thing repeatedly? Can we see all 3 of them together? I know there all beautiful, I haven't seen anything you've painted that wasn't. Thank you, for sharing.
Well, technically I painted this outline two and a half times, the one you see in this tutorial, the transparent version, (which I also showed an image of in this tutorial) and then the one that got only partially recorded, which I stopped painting once as I realized it wasn’t being recorded. (I only painted the background and the grass on that one, I didn’t actually paint the flower heads.) I actually just threw that “half-painted” one away because in the end I liked the background better on the one you see today anyway… so you’ve already seen two of the two and a half I talked about. 😊 It wasn’t too repetitious for me since I did use totally different techniques on two of them, and I figure, the more I practice the better I’ll get at it. 🥰 Thanks for watching Janice, take care!
Oh yay! I’m so glad you like this enough to give it a try! 🥰 I hope you have fun painting it. I appreciate your support very much, Thank you. 💕 Happy painting!
You are so kind! It makes my day to hear you enjoyed my music. 🥰 Unfortunately I don’t have it available for people to download just yet, but I hope to be able to do that at some point. Thanks so much for watching and commenting today! Take care. 💕
Love your painting style but I have to admit I turned the volume completely down because I am so tired of hearing that same piano piece. I know you wrote it and it's beautiful but, man.
