I give these foreign ladies credit for doing this however Ryukyuan dance is difficult and it takes a lifetime of practice & finesse to be an accomplished dancer. The audience sees the beautiful costume but what goes behind the scenes is training and dedication to this art form.
That music look like pelog in javanese gamelan. Some of that hand sign in the dance look like javanese dance too. Even the pace of the dance is slow as javanese dance.

It has nothing to do with Japan. China does not recognize any of Japan's claims to the Ryukyu Islands. China has been very firm in supporting the independence of the Ryukyu Islands!
