Really good tutorial, thanks a lot!
But I have a problem: in my case the bill is fixed on the cylinder shape, I can move and rotate the cylinder around but the bill is stuck on it. It has always the exact same shape.
How did you make the bill move around the cylinder? (It seems that it has something to do with the rotation of the bill in one of the first steps)

Yes exactly. You need to rotate the bill layer inside the bill composition.

For anyone wondering what the solution to this is, you need to apply the CC Cylinder effect onto the pre-comp itself and not on the note within the pre-comp.

You need to enter your precomp with the object. And scale down the object.

Unfortunately you can’t do it with the cylinder effect but you can try to make a similar look with the results you want with “page turn” effect. Check out what I did in this tutorial and You can make the opposite animation:

When I add the cc cylinder effect, it only stays in the "wrap" position and never flattens out over time automatically like yours. Is there any steps to make it so?

It's a bit hard for me to tell the problem without seeing your project, but I suggest you watch the tutorial again from the beginning to the end carefully and I'm sure you will get the results :)

Open up a new comp and make sure you do the rotation in that comp before putting that item into your main comp

You need to go into the money precomp and scale down the layer. Please try to follow the tutorial, there is no reason for you not to succeed creating this

1:35 mine does not come up with the little dot that you pull to make the path bend when using the vector pen

You do have that. Please watch carefully again and see that after I picked the vertex tool, I clicked once on the point of the path, and then dragged its handle

I think you need to decrease the size of the paper from the precomp. Try to enter the precomp of your paper, press s to open the scale parameter, scale it down and go back to the main comp to see if it works:)
