Lady Louise daughter of Prince Edward looks so much like her great, great Grandmother Queen Mary. She has the same lovely curly fair hair, and colouring.
Oh, how I love this. Royal history. I’m American, I find Royal History one of my very favorite subjects. The recent passing of the Queen was the end of an era. She was one of the finest women in our world. She didn’t even want to be Queen, but she knew it was her duty. God Bless her.
That is actually one of the prettiest of all the British royals wedding dresses! Most have had long sleeves and a higher neckline but this dress with little shoulder caps is just gorgeous and she would have loved smelling the orange blossoms as she walked down the aisle! Just a beautiful dress,
Look at the chokers…Princess Diana wore a lot chokers. Queen Mary collected fabulous jewellery which is the Queen Elizabeth own jewllery. Now belong to Charles her son.The Royal Collection is fabulous.
It is known QM loved chokers… had jewellery commissioned that could transform from one piece to another and was partial to pearls . Oh I would LOVE to see the whole Royal Jewls collection WOWZERS 😮
Apparently it was photoshopped to reduce her waist like that. It was mentioned on a TH-cam site discussing photoshopping and well known old pictures that had been altered
She had a tiny little waist due to excessive corsets worn at the time. He waist was about 17 inches and her bust was massive, which made it look smaller.
I would love to see and know what happened to the original wedding gown created for her wedding to Prince Albert. Imagine what something like that would be worth! Poor Queens Mary and Alexandra had to wear corsets. I'm sure Queen Elizabeth (The Queen Mother) was more than relieved that they were out by her time. The Queen Mum's 1920's wedding gown is like night and day compared to theirs and even modern gowns because of the loose and relaxed style of the 1920s. It's amazing how fashion went from one extreme to the other like that. Maybe due to the fact that women were so tired of the corseted look that lasted centuries?
@@acommentator4452 True but you can see QEII figure in bride pictures...no corsets. Plus I've never seen Queen Mum corsets. She was a beautiful child but had an apple figure..

Exquisite gown, but this description?? “The bodice was high cut at the throat?” Who wrote this description? It was high enough cut to cover the bust, but certainly not up to the throat. Despite that, it is quite a beautiful gown and looked lovely on the wearer. I wish we could have seen the *whole gown all at once and not just pieces of it in slow motion.
She had an hourglass figure from the corset, how Victorian. Even after all the kids. She didn’t tighten her corset as much as Kim Kardashian at the Met. Enough people bugged her about that, so I won’t. Just sorry for her internal organs.
Harry gets it from his mother’s side. Two of his maternal aunts are redheads, as is his maternal uncle. In fact, Diana was the only blonde Spencer sibling.

I had heard that the wedding dress of Mary of Teck Was Designed By Queen VICTORIA, As SHE HAD IDEAS of HOW The Event should BE!!! Is this Not True? Did Queen Victoria NOT Dictate The Wedding Dress Of Princess Mary Of Teck, Her Eldest Daughter-in-Law, to be Queen Consort?
Mary of Teck was not a very attractive lady but she was tall. She had deep set eyes which Queen Elizabeth inherited. She appeared a bit rough around the edges even when she was bejewelled from head to toe.
There are so many interesting videos ruined by the voice of the narrator. High-pitched "little girl" voices which are especially annoying; thick, regional accents which are difficult to understand as well as the flat, 'gruff' accents. Such a pity.

💯Exactly! I saw it right away too. Isnt it beautiful to see these faces down the ages re appear
Well spotted…..😄
She does...she also has her father's features.
Her eyes and eyebrows and mouth are so much like Elizabeth’s.
@@jgriffin282 yes, she resembles her father Edward that looks like Elizabeth...if he put a wig on! Anne has the most of her father's looks and stuff!

Princess Mary's bridesmaids dresses and bouquets were utterly beautiful too imo.
This was a very pretty summer wedding imo.
She was a remarkable woman who would have made a great Queen Regnant. Very intelligent and well read.

Yes it is a beautiful dress.😊
I love Queen Mary’s style. So beautiful!
She is a Favorite of mine
Matchless dress of great beauty!
Gorgeous 🥰 skirts
The original pics do not do justice to the beauty of the fabric. It's gorgeous.
How discoloured is it now? The fabric does look exquisite as to be expected for a royal wedding gown.
It's a beautiful dress, even by today's standards.
This is my favorite of all the royal wedding dresses.
Look at those diamonds, choker and earrings. The Queen often wore those.
No photoshop, not shade on Catherine AT ALL, just look at her waist! Beautiful lady, a lady of duty and a Great Queen. .

It really is!
Queen Mary looks like she could be Queen Elizabeth's mother not Grandmother. Elizabeth had her grandmother 's figure..large chest small waist.
but remember every lady then had a small waist due to punishing corsets

I wonder if she felt strange marrying the younger brother of her original fiance.
The dress at 6:12 and 7:19 is not the bridal gown, but Princess May's court dress, complete with ostrich plumes.

Why not sync the photos with your dialogue?

Is this Not True? Did Queen Victoria NOT Dictate The Wedding Dress Of Princess Mary Of Teck, Her Eldest Daughter-in-Law, to be Queen Consort?
Victoria did not “design” the dress in the modern sense, She simply made Mary aware of the code of dress for royal brides.
.
@@Phyllida-r7n she would have had to approve it, of course.

This dialog was very poorly written. Facts were often repeated for no good reason.
Beautiful dress but it seems womens hair wasn't very pretty back then.
