Always interesting to see you branching out with some new stuff. Sleep Token is one of those bands that I have to be in the mood for, but everything they put out is very well done and I appreciate the fact that they are doing something different.
This is another one of those bands, Lauren, that I feel like I should be all in on, but I’m just not there……yet. It’s not for lack of interest or trying, I’ve purchased all of their music and listened multiple times, and there is massive talent there (love the drumming) for sure, but it just hasn’t turned my crank, screaming for me to return, again & again. 🤷🏻♂️

I wondered when you would get to Sleep Token! You know, they've been a curiosity to me for a while and I've liked a few songs, but I only became a fan after hearing the title track of this album, Ascensionism. After a few listens of that, I just ended up enjoying the whole album. They are definitely "genre fluid".
Man my first look at your thumbnail had me instantly think of old film can rolls that was creepy, then the song you're listening to is The Summoning? Heebie Jeebies like crazy.
So is that a Yes you would like to listen to more of their songs Lauren 😏 Because I really want you listen to Hypnosis & Vore my two favourite Sleep token songs plus many of the other songs I like of theirs like Chokehold, Take me back to eden, Jaws, The Offering, Gods, 😇
I've absolutely loved sleep token ever since they started making music, but in my opinion this might not be the best sleep token song to start with. I'm really glad to see them appear on your channel though :D 'the offering' or 'take me back to eden' would be awesome to see as well
I prefer The Offering. I like their first album the most. :) That part that everyone likes in this song, yeah i hate that part. lol As an old head it ruins the vibe for me.

This song was my introduction to the band and I thought I would bindge listen through their discography until it came to the last section. Just why. To me it sounds like Britney Spears without the slap bass.
