I read somewhere that Washington DC is the third most popular place in the US that European tourists come to. It was in the top 10 US tourist destinations for Europeans. I remember reading that the most popular is New York (not a big surprise), second is Orlando, Florida, third is D.C., fourth is Los Angeles and Hollywood. After that which I can't remember in what exact order was the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Yellowstone or Yosemite Nat. Park, Niagara Falls, and Miami, to my recollection

Interesting. The east coast would be popular with Europeans given its closer than the west coast so it makes sense

@skyeye787 Yeah, it's part of the reason that NY, DC, and Orlando and Miami Florida are popular. Some of it is generally about the entertainment/sight seeing/leisure options, even if tourists travel longer flights from their European cities to the west coast, the destinations there (that I mentioned before) have alot to offer tourists. But I also see what you're saying though because many people would prefer flights not as long if given the options for which holiday destinations to choose from.
I also remember reading other top popular places in the US for European tourists which I remember mentioned Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago, which I didn't recall from the list I was mentioning above. But those cities have alot of history and things to do as well. Not every list for the most popular US tourists destinations have been the same
